Tony wandered into the kitchen to get himself a plate, and then wandered into the living room with everyone else. He didn't care that he was the last one there, because that's how it always was.
Chloe was already settled in the living room with the others, just relaxing with her dinner. Zee had picked a spot from which to eat and observe.
Tony noticed Zee was still there, and then promptly ignored him for the time being and flopped into his usual chair. He really didn't mind Zee staying for dinner at all, and it didn't bother him that someone else had invited the other fae to stay the evening.
Dinner was surprisingly quiet and normal, and Chloe helped clean up after dinner. Zee was quiet as he watched them all.
Athena helped Chloe clean up, letting the others relax. Clint sprawled out on one of the couches, and Natasha settled on the other. Bruce had his own chair that he was settled in, although he had a book in front of him.
Zee looked at Tony and headed for the front door. He left it up to Tony whether or not to follow him.
Tony did, getting up and following Zee out.
"So how did it go today?" he asked once they were outside. |
"So far no issues," Zee said with a faint shrug. "The woman isn't happy but other than that, no issues. So long as you all continue to behave during visits, things should be fine."
"How much longer do we have to put up with this?" Tony asked. "There's only so long we can keep up the dog and pony show."
Zee shrugged. "I don't know. Hopefully not too much longer. I'll see what I can do to push the process through."
Tony nodded a bit.
"Anything else you wanted to say before you head out?" he asked. |
"Perhaps once things have calmed down I'll bring someone in to see this place," Zee said. "I've wanted her to see this place for a while."
"Wanted who to see it?" Tony asked, curious. Zee didn't often talk about the other people he knew.
"Mercy." Zee smiled faintly. "You'd like her."
Tony raised an eyebrow.
"There aren't a whole lot of people I like," he pointed out. "Just about all of them live with me." |
"I did say you would like her," Zee pointed out. "She would fit in here very well."
Tony raised an eyebrow, but didn't argue.
"Didn't you say you had a few you were going to send our way?" he asked instead. "What happened there?" |
"Waiting for things to calm down," Zee said. "No use bringing in more people while you're being investigated."
"True," Tony said. "These things are time-sensitive a lot of times, though. Just give me a bit of warning before you drop a new were on us, no sense in getting the cats all riled up."
"Oh they'll be riled up anyway," Zee said, rolling his eyes. "But I'll give you warning. Mercy will be here first to check anyway."
"Fine," Tony said, making a bit of a face. He didn't like too many strangers around his home all at once, but he would deal with it if it was because someone needed a safe place to stay.
Zee rolled his eyes. "I'll keep the visitors to one at a time," he said, his voice dry, before he muttered something uncomplimentary about youngsters in German.
Tony snorted.
"I don't hear you complaining about us young whippersnappers when some new toy comes out," he pointed out, grinning. |
"You have your uses," Zee said with a smirk. "Most of the time it's even worth putting up with the complaining."
"You'd put up with just about anything to get your hands on the latest gadgets," Tony retorted with a smirk of his own. "I've seen it happen."
