Chastity looked around for a moment.

"I guess we may as well just box things up," she said. "We don't have a lot of time."

"Alright." Rea started working on boxing up things like books and odds and ends and some clothes. She didn't touch anything that looked too personal or delicate, though.

Chastity worked on boxing things up, too. She hadn't realized just how much stuff she'd accumulated in her apartment, and ended up making something of a trash pile for the things she didn't need anymore.

Rea dumped most of the trash pile into a couple bags and hauled them outside before she came back in.

"Looks like we're almost done," she murmured. "Just have to figure out how to get everything back to my place without making a million trips."

"Maybe I can rent a moving van," Chastity murmured. "Might be worth it to get everything moved at once."

"Probably a good idea," Rea agreed. "Okay, we'll plan on that. I do need to shove a few things around at home."

"I'm sorry," Chastity murmured, shaking her head. "If this hadn't have happened..." She sighed.

"I know," Rea murmured. "It's not your fault. I don't blame you, and I wouldn't have offered if I didn't mean it."

"Feels like it's my fault," Chastity murmured. She twisted the hem of her shirt in her fingers.

"I know." Really sighed. "C'mon, let's see how much we can finish up before we have to get a truck."

Chastity nodded and went to start taking her loom apart. It was the last major thing that needed to be done, short of getting everything out of the apartment.

Rea managed to find a truck to rent and arranged for everything while Chastity worked on the loom. She was mentally scrambling a bit to make sure everything would fit at her place.

"I think I have enough to rent a storage space for a month," Chastity said when Rea came back. "I know all of my stuff won't fit at your place, physics just won't allow for it."

"Storage might be a good idea, to tide you over," Rea agreed after a moment. "Just until you can find another place. Won't take long."

"Yeah," Chastity agreed, though it was a little half-hearted. She carefully packed the pieces of her loom away into a big, sturdy box. "This one is going to be the hardest to move, so we should leave it for last."

"Alright. So what do you want to do first? See how much will fit into my place so you can get the smallest storage unit?"

"I know how big your place is," Chastity replied, shaking her head a bit. "I'll only bring what I can't go without. The rest can go into storage. There's a storage company not far away, they've got decent rates."

"If you're sure." Rea frowned a bit but didn't argue with her. "So, my place first or the storage place?"

"Storage place," Chastity said after a moment of thought. "Then we can head to your place and then drop the truck back off."

"Alright." Rea nodded and grabbed a couple boxes, starting to haul things down to the truck. This was going to take a while.

Chastity grabbed some boxes, as well, and took them down to the truck. Eventually, her apartment was completely cleaned out, and she took some pictures of the way she left the place, just in case.

"Let's go," she said, locking the door behind her.

Rea nodded and settled in for the next leg of the trip. She had a feeling the next few days were going to be very long indeed.

Eventually, Chastity managed to get everything non-essential into the storage unit, and the rest into Rea's apartment.

"I'm really sorry about this," she said. "I promise, I'll be out of your hair as soon as I can."

"I know, it's not your fault, it's okay," Rea told her, reaching over to rub her shoulder a bit. "You'd do the same for me if it had happened to me instead."

"Of course I would," Chastity said, nodding. "Doesn't mean I like imposing like this, though. I'll start looking for a new place right away."
