"what do you want for our future?" He asked as they walked. He would love to hear Ianto's thoughts on it. He wondered if they would be similar to his own wants. Though he knows he has a much different future then Ianto does. He took Ianto's hand as they walked. There was a nice cool breeze as they walked besides the water. bloodstainedwings:

"I think, I just want to be with you for as long as i could be. I know that eventually I will die and you will live on... but I want to enjoy as much time as I have been given to the fullest. I think Lisa would have wanted me to be happy. I know that might be a lot to ask in our line of work, but i enjoy that too. I would never give it up. What about you Jack? Isnt it hard for you? I mean, you must have been through this before... probably many times.... are you ok with going through it again?"

Ianto was starting to sober up a little, but he was just as talkative as he ever was when he is drunk. Ianto was rather glad that Jack was holding his hand. Even though the sun had set hours ago, it was still nice to walk along the water. The fresh breeze was doing wonders for his sobriety. It wouldnt be long now until he was fully sober again.

"Yes, I have been through it before." Jack said softly as they walked. He had been through it more times then he cared to count. "At first I tried fighting how I felt for you, I just... I didn't want to go through the heart ache again." He fell silent for a moment. He was glad that Ianto wanted to spend whatever time he had with him. "But I just couldn't resist. I was powerless against those feelings." Jack fell silent, it had been ages since he had been this open with his feelings. bloodstainedwings:

"oh Jack." Ianto said and leaned in to kiss Jack. Despite thinking that he loved Lisa, It was never like this. Jack was special and his feelings for Jack were special. He kept trying to place it into some label but nothing seemed to suit it. Jack was special, and therefore any relationship with Jack would be special by default. Ianto was just coming to terms with it all.

Jack returned Ianto's kiss and then just pulled him into a tight hug. He had to get it under control, he really couldn't afford to break down. He rests his forehead on Ianto's shoulder. He breathed in deeply, Ianto's scent calming him. He smelled of coffee, tea, and something else that Jack just couldn't place. Soon he had calmed down and he stood up, his arms still around Ianto. "Sorry about that." He said with a sheepish smile. bloodstainedwings:

"Thats alright Jack. You probably just need some time. I should get home and get some rest anyways. I'll see you tomorrow" Ianto reluctantly let go of Jack and walked to his car. It somehow felt so right being with Jack and yet Ianto felt shame. Ianto doesnt like men that way, he always liked women. But Jack wasnt any man, Jack was different. The way he dressed and moved even the way he smelled were different. Jack also couldnt die and Ianto had no idea how old Jack actually was. Ianto didnt think Jack knew how old he was either, not anymore. But what does age matter to someone who never ages, never grows old and never dies? Even still, other people dont know that about Jack, all they see is a man with another man. Did that even matter though? not in today's age, but to people that knew Ianto, maybe... His brother in law certainly wouldnt let him hear the end of it. Ianto sighed as he took another step towards his car. Reluctant yet resolute, Ianto walked towards his car.

Jack let out a soft whimper when Ianto moved away. He really didn't want to leave Ianto's side. The other mans presence was calming. But he wouldn't push things. If he did that he would end up loosing Ianto, and Jack didn't think he would be able to deal with that. "Sleep well." He said as Ianto headed back to his car. He just watched the man. He was so handsome. If Jack were honest with himself Jones, Ianto Jones was the handsomest man he had ever met. bloodstainedwings:

"Thanks Jack, you too" Ianto said with a wave. He couldnt turn around to say it though. He would be pulled in by Jack. He had to walk away and get some sleep. it was late and he was sure tomorrow was going to be another wondrous yet tumultuous day. As he drove away he thought about Jack and just couldnt think about anything else. Jack was the most captivating person Ianto has ever experienced, stood near or ever heard of. No one was as motivating, frustrating and charming as Jack. They couldnt even come close. And amidst all that, Ianto still felt as thought Jack was a mystery and alone. Ianto could see the sadness welling within Jack. Like a dark hole that shone through the brightness of his eyes. A sad longing that Ianto knew he could only comfort for a short while at best, even if he gave Jack his whole life time, it would still be a short while to Jack.

With a sigh Jack headed back to base. He had thought about getting a place of his own, but what would be the point. Besides somebody needed to be there to keep an eye on things during the so called off hours. He wasn't sure he would be able to sleep tonight. He just couldn't keep his mind off of Ianto. The man was captivating that was for sure. Though he know he shouldn't he has fallen hard for him. He let out another sigh, he knew this would only end in heartbreak for him yet he just couldn't help himself. As he walked in he saw Tosh.

"Thought you had left for the day."

"Oh Jack, I remembered somethings I hadn't gotten to." Tosh said looking up when Jack walked in.

"Need any help?"

"No I'm almost done." She saved her work and stood grabbing her coat. "See you in the morning." She left.

Jack smiled a bit as she left. He, once again, wondered what his teammates got up to after work. He wished he could have a normal life but he knew he wasn't normal. He let out another sigh and headed to his room.

Ianto got home and took off his shoes, showered and got into bed with a book to read. Ianto couldn't focus though. He woke up on the same page in the book. and realized he woke up about 30 minutes before his alarm. so he just got up and got dressed and went to work early. He was strangely nervous that morning and a little hung over. He decided to drink water instead of coffee this morning, figuring that would be a better choice. He ran into everyone else before he saw Jack and gave everyone their coffee. Gwen was running late again though. She rushed in and grabbers her cup just as something started happening. Here we go again. Everyone rushes into the cars, Tosh and I decide to stay behind and watch the information flow. Jack just grabbed his cup and ran off with everyone else. Ianto was a little sad that they didn't even get to say hello, but they were swept up by the momentum of the job. There really is nothing better. Tosh looked over a few times, and it didnt go unnoticed, but Ianto just focused on the job at hand.

Soon the case was wrapped up as well as it could be and the rest of the team was heading back to the hub. Tosh stretched glad that it was over, for the time being. She looked at Ianto, something was definitely up with him and Jack, and it was driving her nuts. "So you and Jack? What's going on there." She asked as the two of them worked to finish things off at the hub. bloodstainedwings:

Ianto was struck by the question. what is going on exactly? how should i respond to this? what would Jack want to say? Ianto froze, consumed by the question without a thought as to how to answer it. He just looked at Jack and expected him to field this one.

(um remember Jack and them weren't back yet they were on their way back)

"I am a bit jealous actually. You and Jack, Gwen and Reese." She said not looking at Ianto but at her computer. "It must be nice to have somebody." She stood as she heard the others come in.

"Well that was fun," Jack said with a smile as the group walked in.

"Fun isn't the word I would use." Gwen said with a smile. "Oh I have to get going. Reese and I have a date tonight." She smiled as she rushed to put her equipment away.

"Have fun on your date, and don't do anything I wouldn't do."

"Oh that means I can do anything?" Gwen asked with a smirk as she headed out to her car.

Jack just laughed.

Before Ianto could say anything Tosh steps up to Jack "I have everything here all sorted out Jack"

"Thanks Tosh"

Tosh showed Jack the record of everything on the computer and takes a second to make eye contact with Ianto. Just enough time to wink. Ianto smiled and blushed. He looked to the floor before deciding he should say something.

"I guess I should archive this" Ianto says and moves to archive the latest, deadly alien tech.

"I'll help you," Jack said going to help Ianto. He had missed having him out in the field and just wanted some time with him.

"Need me to do anything else boss?" Owen asked, though he was glad to be back. Though he wouldn't admit it he had missed having Tosh out in the field. She was something special. Though she would probably never go for a guy like him. His 'love' life consisted of one night flings.

"Just check if anything needs to resupplied in the van. If nothing does then you're free to go." Jack said.

Owen nodded. He so wanted to ask Tosh out for drinks and dinner, but he just couldn't do it.

Ianto noticed the exchange between Tosh and Owen. She longed so much for him to look her way, but he never did. His life was full of shallow relationships. Ianto thought that Tosh might be jealous of whatever was going on between him and Jack but he dared not mention it. Ianto is shy and professional by nature.

"Thanks Jack" Ianto said as he walked to the archive area. Ianto calmly tagged the item and opened the vault, placing the item carefully in its new forever home. It took Ianto a few moments, but he was efficient. Jack didnt really help, he wasnt very good at this kind of stuff. He was always more action oriented. Ianto liked the filing part more than he probably should.

"So Tosh, um, I was wondering if you would like to go and get a drink with me." Owen said. This wasn't easy for him at all. But he really liked Tosh. He had for a long time now. A part of him was ready to settle down, and the only person he wanted to settle down with was Tosh.

Jack watched Ianto work. He was amazed at how efficient Ianto was in archiving the alien tech. When Ianto was done he moved and pulled him close. He kissed him deeply. He had missed Ianto so much when they were out. "Missed you." He said after breaking the kiss. He rested his forehead on Ianto's shoulder.

Ianto held Jack "I was right here Jack" He said teasingly. Ianto was relishing this moment for however long it would last. He felt so needed and wanted and loved by Jack right now. He just wanted to stay being like this with Jack for as long as he could. He leaned his head down and kissed Jack on the head while he held him for that wonderful and fleeting moment.

"Are you serious?" Tosh asked Owen but quickly followed with "Stop teasing me Owen. It was one time that I asked you to pool. Just once. No need to keep teasing me about it. I know you dont feel that way and thats fine. " She said that, but really it wasnt fine. He meant the world to her. She felt like he was the only person in the world that could even attempt to understand her and yet he didnt have the time to even look at her. He always just hopped on the nearest cutest thing and moved on with his life. He even had time for Gwen, but not Tosh. Never Tosh. She was practically invisible. Brilliant and a life saver, but not a woman and not a lover. She longed so much to be understood, held and loved by Owen... but Owen did not feel the same way. He treated her like a bag of meal, day in and day out.

"Still you weren't with me, and I missed you." He said. He really did miss Ianto when wasn't with him. He nibbled Ianto's neck not wanting to let him go, ever. "So what would you like to do tonight?" He just wanted to be with Ianto. He nibbled his earlobe wishing they could have a day off and get out of town.

"I'm serious Tosh." He said, though maybe he was being to forward. He might have to back off a bit. But he really did want to grab drinks with her. Maybe a bite to eat. But if she said no again he would back off. He knew he had teased her, but in his defense he didn't know how to deal with his feelings. Though he knows that's no excuse.

"Well, my place is empty and waiting" Ianto said in response to Jacks nibbles. Ianto grabbed both their coats and smiled at Jack.

"Alright Owen, one drink. Where are we going?" Tosh said and grabbed her coat. Her heart hung in hopes but her mind wallowed in rejection and reality.

On their way out, Ianto caught a glimpse of Tosh and Owen getting ready to go out as well. He was happy for Tosh. He knew her feelings were strong and that Owen wasnt responsive. He just hoped that Owen was serious and wasnt just going to hurt her more. She has been through a lot and he typically treated women poorly.

Jack followed Ianto. He spotted Tosh and Owen as well, he would kill Owen if he hurt. He slipped on his jacket. "See you guys tomorrow." He said as he and Ianto headed out. "So do we want to grab something to eat before we head back to your place?" He asked as they walked.

"Well I know this place, good food, good drinks." Owen said as they headed out. He would do his best not to screw this up. He already had plans to get Tosh flowers, he just had to take things slow.

"I thought maybe I could cook for you. I make a really good stir fry." Ianto loved to cook, he just never had time. It was nice to finally have time to cook AND have someone to cook for. Ianto watched Jack put on his coat, he still loved that coat, and they walked out of the hub. Ianto was looking forward to another night with Jack. He hopes this night is going to be as magical as the last time was.

"Alright Owen." Tosh said. She was suddenly so nervous and anxious, like she was going to throw up and mess everything up. She just tried to focus on breathing for now. It seemed the most logical thing to do. Breathing and then on walking, she wouldnt want to fall and hurt herself. Although, maybe if she fell, he would catch her and it would be this magical moment... she shook her head. That was not going to happen. She was dreaming if she thought that he was going to save her. He would probably just laugh and tell her to get up. *sigh*

"Sounds wonderful." Jack said with a smile as they walked."You know I've never had a guy cook for me before. I'm rather looking forward to it." He took Ianto's hand as they walked. This was just right, Ianto, the night, everything. He knew it wouldn't last but he would enjoy every moment he had with this wonderful man.

"Well it's nearby so we could walk, I mean if you wanted to. If not I'll drive. It's up to you." Owen said as he put on his jacket. Man he felt awkward. But he would do his best. He just hoped he didn't fuck up.

"Its going to be great, we just have to stop at a store first and get some ingredients, admittedly I haven't gone grocery shopping in a while." Ianto held Jacks hand all the way to the car. I tried to stop himself from smiling like a school boy.

"Sure Owen. Walking sounds great. Its a nice night out and I love the breeze. They say fresh air is really good for you. The science behind it is fascinating, would you like to hear about it?" Tosh was making the best small talk she could. She was overwhelmed with nervousness. She didnt know what to say at all. She just started rambling about the only thing she could think of.

"To the store it is then." Jack said as they got to Ianto's car. They would haveto take his car, as the only car Jack had was the van. He kissed Ianto's neck. Dear lord the man turned him on. He nibbled a bit just wanting to taste him. One of his hands ran down Ianto's back and then gave his ass a light squeeze.

"I'd love to hear it." Owen said as they walked out. Truth be told he liked to hear Tosh talk. It really didn't matter what the subject was.
