Meow Meow Brutus stated. June looked at the little guy and then back at Pietro and sighed.

"Pietro, seriously. What's wrong? The guys are worried about you. You clearly aren't eating enough... Talk to me. Whatever we talk about will stay in between us...No telling Eric or anyone else. I'll... I'll even teleport proof your room if you open up to me."

"Seriously? Are we doing this?" Pietro shook his head, "You wanna know what's wrong? How about we start with the fact I've been shipped out of sight and out of mind. And I'm just freaking sitting here, and any time we try to do anything-when we've had enough of all this bull- we've got the x-geeks breathing down our necks. So what if I'm not eating as much, maybe I'm sick of hearing the other guys moan about being hungry like a bunch of pussies. You don't hear me complaining.
Oh, and my favourite part. Checking in with Magneto, dear old dad. You wanna know the first thing he asked me? Before you showed up and went on a rampage? He asked me 'how was Celeste's first day?' 'Is Ciara settling in alright?'. So yeah, I'm tired. I'm sick and damned tired of being put out on the edge of everything. I'm sick of being the son he had instead of the one he wanted. Is that what you wanna hear? You gonna leave me the hell alone now?"

June didn't say a word as he let it all out when he was done, she got up and pulled a piece of chalk from her pocket. She drew a weird symbol and bit her finger, and dotted the middle with her blood.

"I guess neither of us got the fatherly figure we wanted... There. I can't teleport in or out of this room. So while you have the chance... Hit me."

Pietro stopped and blinked at her, "... what?"

"From now on we're going to be living and training together. I don't want there to be any bad blood between us. I know you want to hit me. So here's your chance." She held her hands out to the sides.

"Meow!"

"Brutus stay out of this."

"And... you're just gonna take it?" Pietro looked skeptical. "No consequences?"

"What part of no bad blood, don't you understand?..." She looked at him a bit annoyed, having been ready to take a beating and receiving none. She was use to being beaten. That's where all the scars on her back had come from... When she had gotten scared or upset and had turned to flee from training... Sabertooth made sure to leave a little reminder, even if she teleported away. He'd wait and give it to her later...

Pietro eyed her ano th er moment then out of nowhere threw a super speed punch at her. He had a lot of anger to vent.

It sent June crashing sideways. After a few seconds, she got up and held her hands to her sides and closed her eyes.

That actually felt really good. So he kept going, one after another.

And June took each and every one he had to offer without question or fuss. It was about 5 or maybe 10 mins later when Brutus dug his claws into the end of Pietro's pant leg, meowing up at him to stop.

June had clearly had enough but she won't say so. He needed this and she had to be his punching bag so be it.

Brutus seemed to snap him out of it and finally pietro stopped and stepped away from her.

June coughed, "Brutus..." She said in a small voice but she was grateful for him stepping in. "Do you feel better?" She asked, reaching her hand out for help off his floor.

Pietro breathed for a moment, as much as it might have helped make him feel a bit better, he didn't like how easily it was to get lost in it. He did give her a hand up, "Too far?" he asked a bit uncertainly. It just occurred to him that Magneto might not be pleased if she returned covered in bruises. He did like her better after all.

She coughed a laugh, "Is it that obvious?" She smiled. "You have a very strong left hook..."

Pulling her back to her feet Pietro mumbled an apology without looking directly at her. He still seemed rather uncomfortable about the whole thing, and then his stomach growled and he winced at the noise.

"No no. It's good, we can work with that." She patted him on the shoulder, a small smile on her face. "I don't expect us to go skipping into the sunset together but at least let me make you something to satisfy that hunger of yours"

"You realy don't have to do that" he replied. He'd just beat her up and now she wanted to treat him to lunch? Psycho!

Brutus meowed and June sighed. "Alright alright little man." She picked the cat up and pulled out an envelope, "Here's some moola, go eat something and if you feel like it clean out the store for all their cleaning products.."

Pietro looked at ti then backbto June. "Where did you get all this?" He questioned. It was way more than he got from magneto.

"Been saving over the years.... And Sabertooth gave me a cut of his pay the last paid mission I went on with him." She was very careful with her money.

"Wholey crippet" pietro leafed through it. He couldn't imagine being able to save up this much. "Alright... uh... yoink." He took off with the cash.

He was gone about an hour, actually taking his time to eat and of course trying not to cause whirlwinds in the store. When he returned he felt ten times better and in a flash the kitchen was actually spotless. Nothing like high speed friction scrubbing to get out stains. And as a bonus he also did the bathroom. At some point a couple medical creams showed up beside June. Something that helped with healing bruises and sore muscles, the other was to redu e the appearance of scars.

June had made it back down to the couch and was out cold, she shifted when Pietro spun through so he knew she was still alive, a novel titled 1984 sat in her lap.

Brutus followed Pietro around the house and even at one point was pushing a dust cloth around the floor.

Pietro chuckled at the cat and threw a blanket over June. Eventually he decided it was enough and he retreated back to his room.

The little kitten followed him up the stairs and into his room and sat on the floor and looked up at him in wonder.
