Victoria very good reasons for letting June go. Though she didn't want her to leave, sometimes it couldn't be helped. If she did run into any trouble, she could just teleport away and back to them.

Polly didn't take the news as well. The mansion she was told was the safest place with Eric AND Charles being there... now... now she wasn't so sure. Maybe she should have gone with June.

When the news was broken to Celeste, she encased herself in a large flower and it had taken them several hours to reach her to calm her down.

Charles turned all of his focus towards his work; finding mutants and bringing them to his little safe haven. To live and learn and to ultimately, prove Eric wrong.

Meanwhile, in SCENES OF A TIMELORD

Horatio stepped through the aftermath of the fire and destruction. He had tried to keep Savage away from his sisters but the man was a determined one and now... now this. The scent of death still clung heavily to the air as the breeze kicked up ash and caused the boy to cough. What a disaster.

The little kitten could smell the death before it even made it over the ridge. It's little paws were raw and cut, it's fur covered in dirt and various other things.

Ceres.... Ceres... It thought as it pushed itself forward, letting out a small cry. It was tired, and so very lonely. Where was she? Where was his partner? Why hadn't see come to find him? Why was he all alone.

That distinctive cry reached Horatio's keen ears an instantly he paused time and opened his eyes to look around. It had come from the left but he couldn't see anything over there so he hastened that way and let time start again, "Hello?"

A person? The little guy hid under a bush, making the leaves rustle around him. The figure looked familiar. But he's almost run into so very bad people... could this person know where his special someone was? Could he be a friendly? He was so tired.

After a hesitating for a moment, he let out a small cry.

Horatio turned immediately towards the sound, it was nearby. He knelt down and held out his hand, "It's alright" he spoke gently, "Is that you Coco?"

He took a couple of tiny steps toward the person, sniffing the air. Coco... that sounded about right... no, it was something longer than that.

The small kitten poked it's head out from under a large leaf to look up at Horatio.

Horatio's blank stare stayed straight ahead as he kept his hand outstreched towards the kitten, "Are you looking for Ceres? I'm afraid she's gone with the others, probably to America. Victoria's smart, she knows where to go"

Ceres? It meowed loudly at the name and leapt onto Horatio's hand, hiss little legs gave out and he flopped over and purred lightly. He was about the size of Horatio's hand.

He knew where his special someone was!

Meow...Meow! It called out to him.

Horatio lifted him up and brought the kitten to his chest, petting him lightly, "Yes, they make it there just fine, I've checked. They should arrive in just a few weeks. I had to backtrack a little on this one. Saw that they came to Xavier's and then came back here to find out what happened." he sighed, "Let's get you something to eat, shall we?" time stopped and Horatio turned his metallic gaze to look over the kitten, "You've looked better"

Meow. He pawwed at Horatio's shirt. Probably trying to say something like, "You would look like this too if you had to travel hundreds of miles trying to find your special someone."

Though the little guy couldn't stay mad, he didn't have the energy for it and Horatio was nice and warm... And the patting <3

Meow meow. Food... food would be nice.

Horatio took the kitten away, fed and cleaned him and let him recover. "I think it's best to leave Ceres alone for now. She's with her sisters, and she'll need time to adjust before you come into the picture. So... how about you help me out for a little while?"

Coco had never felt so relieved before. Fresh yum yums, a warm bed... the bath was... alright. But he did feel so much better afterward.

He purred jumping up onto Horatio's shoulder and rubbing his face into his. As long as he got to Ceres. He was ok.

And so began the adventures of Horatio and Coco. Adorable.

The first day of High school. The day it's essential to make a first good impression and get all the right friends.

"Come on you two!" Victoria called, tapping her foot. "You don't want to be late on the first day."

"Says you." Polly said strapping her helmet on and picking up a skateboard. "Last one there is a rotten egg." She called as Spike and a few of the other boys raced after her on their skateboards.

"New outfits."
"Check. Bookbags"
"Check. Hair... Oh here." Celeste tossed Ciara her best friend necklace.
"Thanks. Hair check." Ciara commented, going through the checklist and clipping a flower clip into Celeste's hair.
"Maybe I should just go in the car with the others." Celeste said, knowing how accident prone she was.
"You really want to be seen driving up in Scott's car...Car...." Ciara thought about it. Having a car in High school was important. "New plan. We'll take the car and then skate home."
"Sounds like a plan." Celeste and Ciara held hands and their foreheads together.
"You scare?"
"I'm always scared." Celeste said.
"But hey, we have each other right?"
"Best friends."

They both giggled as Victoria slam kicked their door open, "Young ladies! Let's go. Scott still wants to give you the tour of the school before first period." She paused, "Don't forget your watch." She said handing it to Celeste.

Celeste took it and her hair changed to red as well as her gem disappearing.

They hurried along outside where Scott was waiting.

"It's about time" Scott stated, opening the side door for them to hop in, "Do you really want to get lost finding your way to every class the first week? Let's go!"

Victoria hopped into the front seat and checked her pocket watch, "We still have time.. If you don't hit any red lights." Victoria said as the two of them got into the back seat.

"Sorry Scott-san." Celeste apologized. Her English had gotten a lot better but she would switch to Japanese when she was tired or frustrated.

"Appearances are an important thing to a girl. You should never tell a lady to rush her beauty rountine." Ciara said pulling on Scott's cheek from behind.

Scott rolled his eyes and batted Ciara's hand away as he started the car, "You don't need a routine, you're already beautiful. Now if only we could get that brain to catch up" he added as they pulled out of the institute and headed towards the high school.

Ciara pouted and sat back and crossed her arms, "There's nothing wrong with my brain..." She'd be practicing how to braid her hair, which is why it took so long. Celeste ended up helping her in the end.

Victoria reached over and flicked Scott's temple, "Scott, although you had good intent, that was rather rude. No matter how elegant a lady may be, her need to glam herself up should never be questioned. Especially with your American media..."

Scott swatted at Victoria's hand, "and you should never distract the driver of a vehicle" he scolded her as well as he adjusted his glasses. "Unless you want to be late and injured"

Victoria smirked and as the car came to a stop at a stop sign she reached over and give him a kiss on a cheek. "You're too much of a gentleman to let harm befall us, Scott. <3" And she sat back and didn't say another word.

A touch of red actually adorned the man's cheeks, it seemed to shut him right up as well.

Ciara and Celeste turned to one another. Did... Did Victoria actually make Scott lost for words?!

Not wanting to ruin the moment of victory, the two of them sat back, giggling softly to themselves.

It seemed like Scott was in the right in wanting to give them a tour. The place was a maze, it had had additions added over the years, with various snaky and strange hallways that lead to dead ends.

"American schools are so strange..." Celeste commented, holding her briefcase backpack in both hands, her bento box hanging off of the side. A things she's requested over the years and Charles was only happy to pick them up if they had time after missions. It really made the transition to living in a strange country easier for her; having things that reminded her of home.

"They're not so bad. You'll get use to it." Victoria encouraged.

((Would Celeste even KNOW what the schools in Japan were really like? She was really young when she came over.))

Scott showed them around as best he could in the time they had, though as usual he was right. Their 'beauty time' had cost them a proper tour and by the time they had circled around to the start again, they were properly lost. Scott sighed, "And if you need any help, the whole crew's here. I've got a free period after lunch. Don't be afraid to ask."

((Yes. She would have gone to public school in japan. Where they wear uniforms, have indoor and outdoor shoes; which continues up to high school. Little cubby holes for their shoes.... She'd have memories of it. It's only been like... 3 or 4 years since they got there.))

"Ummm... where's my first class? x.x" Celeste asked, feeling very confused. She was getting dizzy just thinking about it. She had English first.

Ciara had Science first and it seemed to be on the complete opposite side of the school from the look of the room numbers.
