Vesta nodded, "As you wish. <3"

Ceres blinked, "Where are you going... er... Loki-sama?"

"To play the messenger" Loki sighed as he pulled her letter from his jacket and waved it in the air for a moment. She was lucky that her presence was so required. Resorting a King to level of messenger, I mean really.

Ceres gasped, getting up from the table and running around and hugging him/tripping on the icy floor. "Thank you, Loki-sama!" She said a wide smile on her face.

Loki blinked at her, "You are a very touchy feely family" he observed with amusement.

Ceres blushed, "I slipped."

"You should have seen our sleep overs. The first couple of nights at the mansion we all cuddled up into two queen size beds." Vesta commented, smiling.

"I think our sleep overs are more fun" Loki smirked to Vesta, "Now, if you will excuse me. I don't have a lot of time."

Vesta smirk blushed back, blowing a puff of steam his way before turning back to her tea.

"Oh of course." Ceres bowed her head before returning to the table.

Juno teleported in, "Heeeeeeyyyy, Look whose out of her room... Guess-"

"I just remembered something-" Ceres began as Juno teleported behind her and wrapped her arms around her.

"Oh no you don't! You're gonna come by winter games and do outdoory stuff with your big sister."

"x.X But big sister..." Ceres whined. "...Only if you manage to get my closet open."

"Oh, is yours stuck too? I had to rip mine off it's hinges to open it the first time." Juno said.

"I'm going to have to talk to those spriglings" Loki sighed and shook his head before teleporting away.

Ceres was forced to spend the morning and a good chuck of the afternoon outside or inside the castle but not in the warmth of her safe haven of heat.

Vesta held the fort rather well.

Polly practice using her magic. She was starting to get the hang of it.

Loki had sent a Frost Giant teacher to help Polly in discovering her ice magic. His name was Klyar and he was surprisingly patient with her and a very good teacher.

Loki on the other hand found himself teleporting all across the realm in search of that pesky portal.

Polly was very polite to Klyar and learned to all of her advice and guidance.

Loki didn't return until about the middle of the night. He walked wearily to bed, too tired to even teleport as he fell into the overly comfortable sheets.

Soothing warm hands curled around him, pulling the blankets up cover him. A soft kiss was placed ever so gently on his forehead as Vesta made sure his highness would get a good night's sleep

His coat had been cast aside and by the time morning came around Vesta could still see the letter to Pietro sticking outside the pocket. All that and Loki had been unable to actually find the portal.

No one said finding the portal would be easy. It would take time and the fact he'd spent the whole day and most of the night trying to find it, warmed Vesta's heart.

So much in fact that she couldn't help but give him lots of cuddles that morning.

Of course, Loki had also found more selfish reasons to be so motivated in finding the portal. If he could get sand and... dirt. Things to help Ceres create more plants, the stronger his position would be as King. Sure he might have been able to transform some snow into sand, but he was a little less confident in his transfiguration abilities and the things he altered tended to revert back in time.
What he really wanted was to get a hold of some books from Azgard or Vanahiem but trading with those two parties right now was at a bit of a stand still. Apparently Odin didn't approve of Jotenheim's new king.

When Loki left his room that morning he would notice how different the hallway looked. The open windows were now covered in a thin layer of decorative ice and several of the crumbling columns had been repaired.

Loki stepped out of his room and stopped, looking around the corridor for a moment. Curiously he moved forward, making his way through the palace towards the great hall that had basically been deemed a training/sparring area because it couldn't be used for much else in the state it was in.

The floor had been repaired, and several columns and cracks in the walls had been fixed.

"how?" Loki muttered as he looked around at it all. The frost giants didn't have that sort of control over ice. They could create it sure but it always tended to be in spikes, making repairs look like patchwork and not smooth.

The sound of growing crystal could be heard in the adjoining hallway.

Polly placed her hands over one of the large cracks and the ice seemed to heal itself, shimmering blue.

Stepping into the hallway Loki stopped to watch. Once she was done he smiled and applauded, "You've come a long way."

Polly jumped slightly and took a step back, "Oh! Master. Good morning." Her voice sounded a bit off from her normal monotone pitch.

"Good morning" Loki greeted and stepped towards her, his hand running along the smooth ice wall. There was very little that escaped his notice, especially when it was right in front of him. He bridged the gap between them until he was a hair's breath away, "Looks like you've been busy" he placed a hand on her shoulder though it strayed down to the gem in her chest. Was his magic wearing off again? That was much faster than usual...

Polly blushed backing up into a column when his hand started to stray toward her chest. The dark green line around her neck which visualized his magic in her was covered up with a dark green ribbon choker.

"Y-Yes, Kylar is a very good teacher and Vesta mentioned how you wished to see the palace back to its former glory." She'd never called her sisters by their true names before. She held her hand to her chest and her breathing had quickened. There was no question something was off.
