The news was live at different stores that was now selling the new multi-player game, Sword Art Online. Shuji was lucky to be one of the betas to test out the game. He flips the channel and watches a little more of the launch of the game. The people was still in line to get the games and stuff. So he knew there was going to be a lot of people. Shuji looks over at the clock and knew it was nearly time to log on.

Shuji turns off the t.v. and walks out of the living room. He lived at home with his little sister and she was at school right now. He was in college himself but his class didn't start until later today. So he figure it would be good to chill out and go online in the game. Of course he never knew this would be the last time he would be in the real world for a while anyway. The red head walks upstairs and goes to his bedroom, closing the door behind him. Then he walks over to his desk, grabs his gaming helmet, and plugs it into the computer. Making himself comfortable on the bed. He place the helmet on his head and turns it on.

Haku laughs as his mother gives him a knowing look when he walks into the house, his arms weighed down with the helmet and game he bought earlier. She sighs at him, and reminds him to remember he has work in the morning, so he can't be up all night playing it.

He just laughs more, waving her off as he heads to his room. Sure, most people would be upset at still living at home, but it is cheaper all around, and his mother and father enjoy him there to help out around the house. Even if he plays video games more than they think he should for someone his age. He has a job, so they don't get upset about it.

Setting up the game, he has plenty of time before it starts. He follows the directions, feeling a little confused about why he's got to pat himself all over, but mentally shrugs. He kinda bets that being in shape will help make the game easier. They may adjust your abilities in the game if you're in better shape or something.

He's just glad his job requires heavy lifting, or he'd be the typical gamer with a potbelly.

Laying on his bed, he rests his head on the pillow, and turns it on.

The game loads up and everything changes as he blinks a few times before looking around him. He smirks watching all of the other players appearing around him. It was a lot of people so it was going to be fun. He figure he better check out the shops before heading out. Shuji had collected a lot of stuff during the beta testing so it was best to sell some to make some money. As there was this sword he wanted to buy, but it cost a lot of gold.

After while he runs into town and heads down the street before slowing down. He stretches a little as people was already getting their gear and stuff to level up. The red head walks to an blacksmith shop and opens the door. He wonder if anyone was working here yet or if there was just going to be a stuck up npc again. Shuji never liked those npc since it was nothing like talking to a computer than a person.

He decide to look around at the swords on the shelves. Maybe he could be able to get it once he checks his gold. He hope he still had all of that from the beta test or if he would have to start over. Shuji knew every little trick to the game so it would be easy for him if he had to start from the beginning.

Haku is suitably amazed when he gets into the game, and ends up wandering for a little bit. He has the beginning gear, and the beginning money (Which is way less than what a beta tester has, but better than most games where you start with absolutely nothing), so he knows he'll be able to start out well enough.

Making his way to one of the shops, he touches the for sale sign on it. He knows he wants to be a blacksmith, and that means earning enough gold for a shop. He doubts he'll get this one, but one of them.

Walking in entirely, he smiles at the person looking at the swords, and heads to the hammers. Maybe he'll be able to afford something better than the starting items, since most people will be using swords due to the name of the game.

Shuji stretches a little and takes a look around the town once after he left the shop. He notice a few others that was beta testers helping out the newbies. Sure he could help but he wasn't sure if he should let others know he was a beta tester. If something were to happen, they would end up blaming on the testers. Since he and the others should had reported any problems to the game. Of course, he knew there was no problem with the game.

The red head leans against a building and waves his hand. As the menu screen of his player pops up and he checks out his stuff. He decides to change his equipment, first he changes his sword that he had. He always had a katana but he clicks the unequip, then he equip the long iron sword with a black and red handle. After that was done, he changes his outfit before he x out the menu.

Getting his equipment, Haku messes with the menus, a little fascinated by them. When he figures out how to put on the marginally better clothing and weaponry he got, he heads out.

He needs to earn money to make money, and standing around chatting like these guys won't help him.

No matter how much he wants to keep staring at a store, fantasizing about owning one.

Shuji looks around and notice someone looking at one of the empty shops for sell. He knew the other was a newbie and it would take him a while to get the gold he needed. Shuji pushes himself off the walk and place his hands into his pocket. He soon walks over toward the male, looking up at his user name above his head. Sure the guy was at level one but he didn't seem to be the type who fights. Maybe if he gave him a few tricks to the game, he could help out the guy a little.

"Hmm excuse me, you must be new to the game. My name is Shuji Tanihara," Shuj says, taking his hands out of his pockets. Shuji looks over to the shop before he looks back over at the male. "You must be want to buy this shop, I can help you out a little bit with that. I have some money to spare so I'll be glad to give you some."

Jumping a bit at the sudden sound of another's voice, Haku spins to face who it is. Blinking, Haku rubs the back of his head, trying to keep the huge grin off his face. "Oh, no! I couldn't ask that of you. I mean, it's your money. I can work on it on my own." He shifts a little, looking at Shuji, "I'm Haku." He does smile now, "Would you mind if instead, we group up? Since you seem to know what you're doing. Learning how to do things will only help me."

Shuji looks at Haku and knew he could use some help. Not very many beta testers would help out the newbies in the game. Also he knew a lot about the game to help this one out cause as far as they knew this game was harmless. "Oh sure...I don't mind helping you. Let me just invite you to the group," he says. He looks down and reaches up opening up his menu. Shuji moves down to the invite button and clicks on Haku's name.

Accepting with a grin, Haku walks over to Shuii, "Great!" He looks around, "Where do we start? We can start earning things right away, and I'd love to get everything down." He doesn't want to be a burden, not when he's depending on a stranger. Even a very nice one.

He looks at him and chuckles at the male's eagerness. "Well we should start some where easy with some low level monsters," he says, looking at the map on his menu. "Hmm looks like the plains is a good place for beginners. Let's go," saying, closing his screen before he looks over at him.

Grabbing Shuji's hand, he takes off at a run, "Let's go!"

He likes running, it's pretty fun, and the wind in his hair feels so real. When they get to the plains, Haku spreads his arms, and spins a bit. "Wow!" He stares at the clouds in the sky, no longer obscured by buildings. "Everything feels so... so... Realistic."

Letting out a chuckle, feeling Haku grabbing his hand. He follows Haku out of the town and goes to the plains. "Well that's how the designers made the game. With our headgear makes our minds feel everything like it is real." Shuji looking around and saw some low level monsters near by.

"Anyway let me show you the basic," he says while he looks around on the ground. Shuji picks up a pebble on the ground and tosses up in the air a few times. "Let me just get one of theses hogs attention." He aims at the hog and gives the pebble a good throw and it hits the hog. The hog turns around looking pissed and runs toward Shuji. He pulls one of his swords out of his shelth and waits until it was close enough to unlease his attack.

Watching closely, Haku copies the stance, and swings his hammer a little awkwardly, not used to the heft of it. He lands on his front, feeling foolish as Shuji takes down the hog. Sitting up, he rubs his face, "This may go better if I stop overcompensating for the weight, and I actually have something to attack instead of having just copied you as you attack."
