Lori swallowed and formed her mouth into a word when nothing came out she tried again. "Bruce." It was a whisper barely at hearing level. "Helena." She blacked out.

Gemini patted her friend's head and snuck back out again, saving the vial just in case. "Bruce." She said as she approached him. "Lori woke up briefly. She said your name, and Helena's. I'm going to stay here and keep watch, you go and find Helena."

Numbly, Bruce nodded. Helena needed to know about this, too. So, trusting Gemini to keep Lori safe while he was gone, he got up and headed out to find Helena.

Lucky for him Helena was at Lori's apartment looking for her mother. "What happened to you Mal?" She asked the ruffled looking cat who was watching the shadows.

Bruce walked in, and almost cried in relief when he saw Helena. Almost. "Helena, I'm glad I found you. Listen, something happened..." He started, then proceeded to tell her everything that had happened. "Gemini said she called our names, so I came to get you."

Meanwhile, Gemini stood guard in the hospital. If Talia, or any other villain, tried to get near Lori, she would rip them apart. She had to continually wave off doctors who saw her covered in blood and wanted to help.

Helena gasped and packed a few things for her mom and filled the water bowl for Mal pausing in the hallway. "Hi Talia." she glanced back inside at Bruce. "Hi Bane." she swallowed.

Bruce swore softly and came up beside Helena. "Talia. What are you doing here? Don't you think you've caused enough problems for one night?" he asked, somewhat hostile.

"I didn't expect to see you here Bruce." Talia smiled Bane was at her side smirking a little. "I just wanted to make sure you knew what heartbreak was." she chuckled then blinked as Damien appeared. "Well I jus happened to run across my half brother who." Lena looked to him. "I choose Lori and Helena mom there so much nicer then you." Damien smiled at Lena. "fine then you can go down with them." Talia growled.

Bruce couldn't help but smile. He had always hoped that Damien would choose him over his mother. "None of us are going down, Talia, except for you. I suggest you leave before you lose anything else."

"What will you do Bruce fight us?" Talia smirked. "I'm stronger then Helena and Bane is stronger then you even if you have Damien I would still have the upper hand.'' Helena frowned. "Your stalling...what are you planning to do to mom?" Lena snarled "Nothing." Talia chuckled.

Joker approached Gemini as Darien and glanced around making sure no one was listening. "Talia's going to try killing your friends again...is it sad she makes me nervous?"

Bruce glanced at his two children. "Helena, get to your mother, fast. Damien, help me with these two." He said. Despite Talia's warnings, Bruce knew that Damien had gotten stronger over the years, and he could take his mother easily if he wanted to. As far as Bane, Bruce had learned how to deal with him.

Gemini looked up, and sneered. "Not like I can go anywhere. I'm staying right here to make sure Lori is safe. By the way, if you were hoping to win me over, then trying to kill my best friend is a bad way to go about it." She clenched her fists. "You know what's sad? I was going to...I was going to try and work things out with you. But this...I don't care how scary Talia is, this is damn near unforgivable." Then, she chuckled slightly. "Oh, in case you're wondering, you made a huge mistake leaving your pet fangirl to distract me. I hope you weren't too attached to her, because she's probably dead by now."

"Good I hated Harley and why do you want to make things work the moment you ran off...I'm not good with women and Talia made me an offer I couldn't refuse." He sighed. "Kidnap Lori or die if I knew she meant so much to you I would have let Taliah kill me." He grimaced then nodded to the doctor who passed. "That's him."

Helena nodded and raced off leaving them to battle Bane who was off his drug and Talia who was smirking at them.

"I had a talk with Lori after what happened earlier. She helped me clear my head, and I realized how I actually felt." Gemini said. "I guess I shouldn't have expected you to choose death over killing someone. I'll tell you what- if you can help me save Lori, I'll give you another shot. And I'll consider not turning you into a woman for what you did to her."

Bruce nodded at Damien. "Damien, I don't want to ask you to take on your own mother, but I don't want you fighting Bane. So I'm leaving it up to you. Which one will you take?"

"You want me to make a scene?" Joker smirked and rolled up his sleeves "that I can do." He glanced around then spotted the doctor set to kill Lori. "Oh doctor I think your in trouble." He gripped his arm. "You see you caused my wife to die know I'm going to kill you."

"I'll have to take my mom I'm to small to do anything to Bane." Damien sighed then looked to his mother. "I always knew it might come to this."

Gemini rolled her eyes. At least his methods were effective, even if they were a bit...dramatic. Once there was a significant amount of commotion, she slipped away and into Lori's room. There wasn't much she could do besides keep watch until something happened.

Bruce nodded, feeling sorrow for his son. It must hurt terribly, to have to fight one's own parent. Still, now wasn't the time to dwell on it. He turned to Bane and wasted no time, charging at the gigantic man.

Helena reached Gemini gasping for air. She took her moms hand and squeezed looking worried "you'll be fine mom you still have at least 6 lives left." She smiled a little sadly.

Bane let Bruce make the first move then fought back chuckling. To both Talia and Damien's surprise he was better then her putting her down faster then anyone ever had.

Gemini smiled at Helena. "I'm glad you're here. Apparently, Talia hasn't given up. She's got at least one doctor ready to kill Lori, if not more. I have some...help, I guess, distracting everyone right now, but I don't know how long that will last. How is Bruce doing?"

Bruce kept fighting, even knowing that he probably wouldn't be able to beat the man. He had to at least buy time for Helena to reach the hospital, for Lori to wake up...something. So he fought harder than he ever had before.

"That depends on the definition you want.'' Helena chuckled. "The one that will make you feel better or the one that won't." she squeezed her mothers hand then grinned as Lori's eye's opened she looked around not really seeing anything then groaned. "It's alright mom." Helena frowned then blinked as a different doctor came in. "we have to fix her rib once it's set she'll need plenty of bed rest though we do want to keep her here for the night to make sure it heals right...you might want to hold her still the break can be set by hand but it's going to hurt worse then getting run over.' the doctor rolled up his sleeves.

"Why would I do anything? Bruce Wayne would have my license faster then I could blink.' As he approached Helena took one side. "Sorry mom.''

Damien hurried to help Bruce distracting Bane with a well placed kick to the head.

Gemini nodded. "Hang in there, Lori." She said, taking the other side.

Thankful for the distraction, Bruce jumped and tackled Bane from behind, trying to hold him down.

The screech Lori made was heard in china. She stared swearing like a sailor.

Damien helped him handcuff and knock him out. "Jeez.'' he huffed and grinned at his dad.

Gemini winced, but held on. "Good Lord, I think I've gone deaf..."

Bruce grinned at Damien. "Good work. Thank you for the help. Let's call the police to take these two away, and then we'll go to the hospital and see what's happening there."

Lori whimpered and cried a little. "Oh mommy.'' Lena squeezed her hand tighter. "There.'' the doctor nodded and bandaged her up. "All set."

Damien nodded and made the call watching sadly as his mom was dragged away kicking and cursing.

Gemini gave Lori's hand a gentle squeeze. "You're okay, hon. You're strong. Rest now, you'll be fine. And we'll be here when you wake up."

Bruce placed a hand on his son's shoulder, as if to apologize. Once Talia and Bane were taken away, he turned to Damien. "Are you ready to go, or do you want to go home and rest?"
