Lori blabbered out what had happened. She cried harder hiccupping.

Joker took the stick giving it to the hyena's stick. "Bad dogs don't get toys." he huffed. If it had been his pets he would have smacked them no questions asked but the dog belonged to the person he loved though if he kept pushing his buttons he might hit him.

"That's it." Joker slapped the dogs ass hard. "Bad dog off the couch." He growled making the hyenas back up worried. They new his moods and didn't like this one.

"I killed Talia made sure of it. Everything is her fault Bruce should have gotten rid of her a long time ago. Know I don't know Ivy is gone and I broke his cardinal rule. He won't be mad but he must be disappointed." She sighed.

"Well I guess but I kind of over did it. Bruce had to stop me from stabbing her...repeatedly." Lori sighed softly.

Joker nearly killed him but he stopped his hand from reaching into his pocket. "You want to act this way fine." He grabbed the leash he used for his pets. "Then you can go outside. I tried being nice. Last chance." He warned. "Get off the couch. Know." His voice turned darker.

"Alright." Joker. "Good dog off the couch but stop being a pain in the ass. I really am trying I love your owner more then I can even say out loud." he got a far off look on his face.

"Yeah." Lori sighed. "I just don't know anymore."

"Alright." Joker changed the couch. "Lets start over. You listen to me a little just so we can get along." he smiled a little. "You are kind of cute."

"What if I never get over it? I love Bruce but everything is so confusing right know." Lori placed her head in her hands. "What if after all this time I'm starting to not love him?

"That's a start." Joker stroked Lucifers head. "Know rule one no pestering the hyenas there wild animals after all and I don't need you getting hurt. Rule two no destroying anything everything you see is all I can afford to get. Rule three no going to the bathroom in the building. You need to go out just go scratch on the door."

"What if it is?" Lori looked at her sadly "I almost gave up on him once but Ivy stopped me."

"That depends on a few things I might have found someone to be happy with there was that guy I dated a few times. He was pretty great." Lori said with a small smile. "The real question is would Bruce be happy with someone else. Maybe I should have let Talia keep him." she sighed.

Joker smiled then sat down "Good." he gestured to the hyena's who came over to greet him. "Be nice you two." he warned.

"That's an adorable thought...thanks Gem you always know just what to say." Lori hugged her then hurried off. She raced across Gotham reaching Wayne manor in no time. She easily found Bruce and hugged him.

Joker watched them sniff Lucifer once they where sure of him they cackled and started to horse around with each other.

Gemini smiled and hugged her back. "Any time." She said, watching her friend race off. Smiling, she got what she had come for and set off, heading back to her own weird little relationship.

Lucifer, not used to being around other animals, didn't take the messing around very well. Backing up, his ears and tail lowered while his fur stood on end. He showed his teeth, warning them to stay away.

Back at Wayne manor, Bruce was wandering aimlessly around his room, not sure what to do. He was starting to worry about Lori, and had just considered going after her when suddenly she was there, hugging him. "Lori? Oh, if this is a dream, don't ever let me wake up. Where were you? I was worried." He said. And lonely... He thought, but didn't add.

"I went to ask Gemini for advice. I'm sorry beloved I promised I won't leave you again...I need to know something. Why did you wait so long to be with me?" Lori asked head buried in his chest afraid of what the answer would be.

"Take it outside you two." Joker shook his head and the hyenas bounded outside laughing and nipping at each other. "This is why we don't mess with them." He rolled his eyes. "They make great guard...animals."

Bruce nodded, happy that she had been with Gemini and not wandering around alone. "It's okay...you don't have to promise." He said, then blinked a moment later at her question. Blushing, he took a deep breath and answered. "Honestly, I was...afraid. At first I used the excuse that I couldn't be with a criminal, but eventually I realized that it really had nothing to do with that. The more I thought about it, the more scared I was. Not scared of you, but...I'm not explaining this right." He sighed. "I have lost so many people in my lifetime...making new connections, getting attached to someone, it just gets harder and harder to do. When I realized how I felt about you, I panicked. I was sure that if we were together, you would get hurt and I'd lose you, too. And I realized that I couldn't handle losing you. It took me a long time to get over that fear...I'm still not fully over it. But I decided that I loved you too much to live without you. If I lose you, at least I'll have had you for a while...that's better than never having you to begin with."

Lucifer huffed, still not fully relaxed. His ears perked up suddenly, and he barked, just seconds before Gemini walked in carrying a bunch of bags. "Sorry I took so long! I had a slight detour nothing big anyway I'm here now. Did you two get along?" She set the bags down and caught sight of Lucifer. "Question asked, question answered. What happened?" She asked, somehow knowing just by looking at her dog that something had gone wrong.

"Didn't I always say I would be safer with you then without?" Lori smiled at him ruining her hand over his cheek. "Know we can be a whole complete family. In a week while be married and I'll get to be Mrs. Lorinda Wanye. Do remember are first meeting?' she asked with a smirk.

Joker glanced at Lucifer then smiled "He was perfect I think the hyena's ruff play may have spooked him a little." he scratched Lucifer behind the ear.

Bruce smiled. "As ourselves or as Batman and Catwoman?" He asked. He remembered both well, and both memories made him smile...and cringe a little.

Lucifer wagged his tail in agreement. Not buying it, Gemini walked over and knelt down in front of the dog, staring him directly in the eye. "Lucifer, what really happened? Look me in the eye." She commanded when he tried to look away. After about three minutes, she stood up, hands on her hips. "I see. And here I thought I could leave you two alone together for half an hour without any problems. Well, I'm disappointed with both of you. Lucifer, you are a guest here. You do not act out like that, I don't care who's giving you orders. And you never bite! You know better." She turned to Joker. "And you. As a human, you definitely should have had more control over yourself than the dog did. I understand that his behavior was unacceptable, however it is equally unacceptable to hit someone else's pet. I would never lay a hand on the hyenas, even though there have been times when I wanted to shoot them both in the ass with a B.B. gun!" She crossed her arms, glaring at both. "Now, I have serious cleaning to do. Lucifer, go lay in the corner. You get no dinner tonight. And you, Joker, will have no physical contact with me for the next day and a half. That means no hugs, no kisses, not even a handshake." With that, she whirled around, picked up her bags, and headed to the refrigerator. Lucifer, ears and tail down in shame, went to a corner to lay down.

"Then don't bring your animal around anymore." Joker stood losing his temper again. "Hit my hyena's I wouldn't have cared nothing matters to be but destroying Batman." he slammed his fist down into the table. "I will not have an animal disrespect me and since you clearly don't think much of my handling my temper you can forget this." he got his coat. "Come on you two." he walked out calling to his hyena's he hurried after him.

"either one." Lori said with a chuckle. "But as Batman and Catwoman." she smiled a little. "I remember it like yesterday. I was stealing that necklace."

Gemini ignored the outburst, refusing to be intimidated. She just went about her cleaning, and only because she had promised to do so. Lucifer whined guiltily.

Bruce nodded. "That's right. When I caught up to you, you tried to seduce me. And when that didn't work, you attacked me and ran off." He said.

"That part worked." Lori chuckled and squeezed his hand. "Then later that week we meet as Lorinda and Bruce at the dance for charity." she smiled at him.

Joker blew up a few buildings not feeling any better then before.

"I remember that rather well, too. As I recall, you paid a good amount of money for a lunch...that we never did get to go on." Bruce said, remembering how smitten he'd been with her.

Gemini finished cleaning surprisingly quickly- probably due to the fact that she had scrubbed with all her frustration. She then put away the groceries she'd gotten, and placed the money he had given her on a table. She had used her own instead. Then she sat down and pulled on her hair. "Ugh! Who does he think he is? Getting all mad because I don't take any crap! I'm not Harley, dammit, I won't just sit there and let him do whatever he wants! I refuse to be abused by that man, I don't care how much I love him. I will never be the obedient little abused girl ever again!" Standing back up, she kicked a wall and stormed out. Lucifer followed her quickly, not wanting to be left alone in a strange place.

Lori laughed "Yeah that whole week was crazy." she chuckled. "Though you found out who I was under the mask faster then I did...I will never tell you how I found out thought." she smirked a little.

The hyena's accidently found her and blinked greeting Lucifer whom they seemed to see as a friend know. Joker wasn't with them and they seemed to be a little singed and sad.
