Finally, Gemini stood up and went over to him, taking the ball away. "Did I do something to make you angry again? Because if I did, I'd really like if you would tell me before killing a random girl." She said sadly.

Bruce sighed. "See? I'm no good at joking. I shouldn't even try." He said, pouting childishly.

Lori blinked then smiled. "Your doing fine my handsome man." She traced his pout with her finger. "But if you want to stop trying that's fine."

Joker growled then took a deep breath. "I don't like being predictable and I didn't want to get mad at you which made me annoyed at myself and well." He glanced at the unconscious girl.

Bruce smiled just a little bit. "Do you want me to stop trying?" He asked. He'd stop trying forever if she asked him to.

Gemini sighed, then took a chance and hugged him. "I'm sorry, I was only teasing. I certainly didn't mean to upset you." She glanced up at him. "I appreciate the effort to avoid a fight." She said.

Joker blinked then hugged her back nearly crushing her. "I'm sorry for getting upset like that." He sighed running a hand threw her hair.

"Only if you want to stop...you have the same kind of humor Alfred does if that helps." Lori smiled at him placing the food on the table. "Eat up."

"It's okay. We're still figuring each other out. Shit happens, right?" Gemini responded, secretly enjoying his hand through her hair. She'd always liked having her hair played with.

Bruce managed a smile at that. "Yeah, that does help." He said, before going to hold her chair out for her. "Ladies first." He said.

Lori smiled and sat down kissing his cheek gentle. "Thank you kind sir." She grinned.

"Yeah...doesn't help I have short temper." Joker sighed untangling himself from her then moved the poor girl who was unconscious. "There."

"It was my pleasure, love." Bruce smiled as he pushed her gently in, then went around to his chair and sat down.

Gemini shrugged, unable to disagree. "I can live with that, though. At least it's never boring around you." She said. "Think the girl will be okay? Or should I call an ambulance after we leave?"

"She might be alright. What do I care? If you want call the medics good luck getting them here in time to help." Joker was smirking like he knew something she didn't.

Lori dug in with a blush she realized this was what her life would be like till she passed on. With a grin she tackled him to the floor food forgotten to give him a passionate kiss.

"Oh, no. What did you do this time?" Gemini asked. For some reason, she only half feared the answer.

Bruce, thankfully, had just swallowed when he was tackled. "Whoa! Not that I'm complaining, but what was that about?" He asked, after she finished kissing him.

"Nothing, nothing." Joker chuckled then paused as sirens raced past. "Permanent." He laughed.

"Because." Lori said from a top his chest saddling it she had managed to knock him off the chair. "I've just been thinking that from know on there wouldn't be lonely days, or an empty bed waiting for me." She smiled. "I get to have the emptiness filled by you."

Bruce blinked slightly as her words sank in. Once they did, he blushed slightly and smiled, then sat up so that she was laying in his lap. "I am happy that I can be the one to fill that emptiness for you. I'm equally happy that you are doing the same for me." He said, kissing her.

Gemini let her head fall against his chest. "I'm not going to ask. I don't want to know...Okay I kind of want to know but any interrogations will go smoother if I don't know." She said, not sure whether to laugh or shake her head.

Lori combed her fingers into his short hair gripping it tightly as she kissed him back food forgotten for the moment.

Joker grinned more. "That a girl." he laughed going back to bowling.

Bruce continued the kiss for as long as he could. He may have taken it further, except that his stomach protested loudly at the absence of food.

Gemini just sighed and followed suit, figuring she might as well enjoy their "date" while she could.

Lori laughed and got off "We should finish eating." she grinned.

Joker blinked at the end. "We tied." He laughed.

Bruce chuckled, getting up. "Yeah, probably." He said. "I'd be sorry to miss your cooking, anyway."

Gemini smiled. "Well what do you know. No one's ever tied with me before! I finally found someone worth bowling with." She glomped him. "More reasons to love you!"

Lori blushed softly and sat down to eat a soft smile on her face.

Joker blinked and kissed her cheek "Thanks for the vote of confidence dearest."

Gemini shrugged. "I'm very competitive, and worthy opponents are hard to find." She said. "It's kind of amazing- every single day you give me another reason to be happy that I found you."

Bruce sat down and continued eating, secretly watching Lori as he did so. He loved when she blushed like that: it was so cute. It surprised him slightly to think so, since he wasn't the type to ever even use the word cute.

Lori was half eating her food half looking threw a book of wedding dresses careful not to show him anything.

Joker looked away and grunted a little. "thanks." he grumbled.

Bruce was curious about what Lori was looking at, but didn't ask. He figured of she didn't want to show him, there was probably a good reason.

Gemini's smile faded quickly. "What's wrong? Did I say something stupid again?" She asked.

Joker shook his head. "I don't know how to respond to nice comments." He admitted with a shrug.

Lori finished first and started to clear the table eyes glancing at the magazine know and then.

"Oh." Gemini said, a little surprised. "Well...you don't have to respond at all, if you don't want to. Or just say "thanks" and move on. It doesn't matter to me, I'm not saying things just to get a thank you out of it. But I'm not about to stop saying nice things to you, so you'll have to tune me out I guess." She said with a smile. "So, should we go?"

Bruce finished at about the same time and helped clear the table. "That was great, Lori. Thank you for making it." He said, putting his dishes in the sink and rinsing them.

"If you want we could make a mess before we go though." Joker smirked eyeing the bowling balls thinking.

Lori hugged him from behind squeezing his middle gentle. "Your welcome I'll cook any time you want even if you have to wake me up."

Gemini looked around, contemplating. The place was already kind of a dump...but she'd never done anything like that before. Oh, what the hell. You're already dating him. If you're gonna do stupid things, might as well go all the way. She thought to herself. "Sure, okay."

Bruce chuckled. "Thanks. I don't think I'll trouble you that much, though. Oh, that reminds me." He turned around in her arms, hugging her back. "I think you should be prepared to race Alfred to the kitchen every time you want to cook. He's pretty dedicated about that kind of thing."

"I will if you want me to keep cooking." Lori trailed her hands up his back resting one on his shoulder the other she rested around his neck.

Joker grinned and hurled the ball threw the wall chuckling a little. "Then have at it."

"Oh I definitely want you to keep cooking." Bruce said, smiling a little.

Still a bit hesitant, Gemini copied him and threw a bowling ball. Unfortunately, her clumsiness decided to kick in right at that moment and the ball slipped from her hand too early. The result was that the ball flew high up into the air and hit a central light fixture, causing all the lights to go out, sparks to fly everywhere, and glass to rain down all over her. "Dammit!" Her exasperated voice rang out in the semi darkness. "I can't even mess things up right!"
