Helena stuck with Gemini. "He really does love her doesn't he?" she mused frowning.

Lena chuckled a little. "I guess...it's just a little weird having a guy who wants to protect mom around when we usually protect each other." she spotted Damien and waved. "Though having a little brother is fun."

"Looks like you made it." Red Hood stood with a tied up Lori though his helmet looked a little damaged. "I have to say you sure picked a feisty one." Lori who was sitting on the ground gave him a glare she had a few bruises but other then that she looked fine.

Gemini chuckled. "You'll get used to it." She said.

Bruce glared. "What do you want this time?" He asked. "Whatever it is, it's not worth kidnapping my wife. Let her go."

"I want the same thing. Only this time I found something you'll kill for." Jason smirked. "To bad Joker couldn't be here but I guess I'll have to do." He pressed a gun to Lori's head. "I've rigged the explosives to go off soon. Now isn't this fun?"

Bruce's fists clenched. What was he supposed to do? He couldn't let Lori die. Even if it meant breaking his biggest rule... "Just let her go. She's not part of this." He said, trying once more to reason with the boy.

Gemini watched, tense. "Lena. We have to get Lori out of there. Bruce is...he's really going to do it, if we can't save her...he'll actually kill him. We can't let that happen."

"Why not? He deserves it." Lena sounded like her mother. "How do you suggest we go about rescuing her?"

Jason chuckled and shook his head. "She's always been a part of this." He cocked the gun. "Don't do it Bruce I'm not worth it." Lori wiggled around trying to get free.

Gemini blinked. "Have you met Bruce? It's not about Jason, of course he deserves it! If Bruce kills him...he's unstable. One kill would turn him into a mass murderer, Lena. He'd go nuts." She shook her head. "I think we should split up and all burst in there from a different angle. If we surprise them all at once, one of us has a chance of saving her."

Bruce took a breath, as if making a decision. "Alright. Fine, Jason. If this is really what you want, if you're so desperate to die that you would go this far...fine. To save my wife, and to put you to rest once and for all, I'll do it."

Lori shook her head. "Don't Bruce." She frowned at him. "We'll then...oh and if Huntress or Gemini try anything I'll blow them up." Jason laughed as he did Lori kicked backwards and slammed into him. "You." Jason growled going to hit her.

Bruce took that moment to jump forward and tackle Jason, trying to wrestle the gun away from him.

Gemini swore. "He didn't say anything about Damian. Go, get Lori!" She said to Damian. "Lena, you and I are going to start disarming the weapons around this place."

Damien nodded and untied Lori who hugged him. "Thanks...does that guy look like you or is it me." She nodded to a twin of Damien. Jason laughed as Bruce tackled him "you always find a way. This time I have help." Lena so notice the twin as she was disarming the weapons.

Gemini noticed as well. "What the hell? Am I seeing double?" She asked, disarming another weapon.

Bruce got the gun away, then rolled away from Jason and up onto his feet, pointing the gun at Jason. "I don't care about your backup. Lori is safe, and that's all that matters."

"Uh Bruce did you have sex with Taliah again and not know?" Lori asked then shivered as the twin laughed. "I am Heretic a clone made from Damien are mother sent me to kill you." As he stepped into the light he was older than Damien and he had that crazy look most bad guys got.

"But how...Talia is dead!" Bruce said, shaking his head. "And how is this one older, if it's a clone? None of this makes sense...it doesn't matter. Damian, get Lori out of here. I'll take care of these two."

"Crap. this isn't good. Crap, crap, crap." Gemini muttered, disarming the last weapon she could find. "We have to get in there. As soon as Lori is out, we have to go in."

"I will kill you like mother wanted." Heretic rushed Bruce catching him off guard. "Dad!" Both Helena and Damien rushed to help. The clone was stronger than them but they managed to get him away from Bruce. Lori took car of Jason by tying him to a ship as she turned she saw Helena struggling with the clone. In slow motion Damien rushed in managing to get free and so they fought clone and boy till Damien could barely stand when the clone went to shake Lena away Damien tried a kick but the clone was faster and with deadly force stabbed Damien in the heart. "NO!" Bother Lori and Lena gasped.

((God that last part was hard but I found that little scene in a comic of batman and I had to.))

Time slowed down. Bruce heard screaming, as if from underwater, as he watched his son fall. He was moving. Time sped back up, and suddenly he was on top of the clone, beating him, hitting every part he could reach, even using the gun still in his hand to bash at his head in a blind rage. He was screaming, but no words formed, just a primal, despairing yell.

Gemini found herself moving instantly, before she even thought about it. She caught Damian before he hit the ground, and layed him down gently. "Oh, no. Oh, Damian, no." She babbled, trying to remember her nurses training. A straight shot to the heart meant almost instant death, but the person could be saved. "Stop the bleeding...gotta stop the...cauterize..." She looked around, found an iron rod, and picked it up. She used a gun to spark a fire and heated up the rod, then used it to cauterize the wound as best she could. "That won't hold. We have to get him to the hospital, fast!"

Lori and Lena hurried over Lena ripped part of her cape off to help stop the bleeding. "You'll be alright little brother." Damien smiled blood trickling down his chin. "I'm glad you were my sister even if it was short." He groaned. "Kick him once for me." He squeezed Lena's hand. "Thank you to Lori for being my mom." He gripped Lena's hand tight once more than his grip loosened eyes closing as he gasped once and was gone. "Damien!" Lena rubbed his hand. "No you can't go." She sniffed. Lori stared shocked then she jolted as she realized Bruce was beating the clone to death she hurried to him and squeezed his neck. "Bruce!"

Gemini wiped away the tears that sprang to her eyes before they could fall. "No, Damian..." There had to be something they could do. She had managed to bring Ivy back. Maybe she could do the same for Damian?

Bruce seemed to collapse under Lori, the gun dropping from his hand as he sobbed. "He killed him...my son..." How? How had he lost yet another loved one? When would it end? "Why do they all die?"

"I know Bruce. I know." Lori squeezed him tight there was nothing she could say that would make this better. Lena glared at Jason when he laughed "such bad girl!" He gagged as Lena grapped his throat. "I'll kill you."

Gemini jumped up. "Helena, don't! He's not worth it. Let me, I've already got blood on my hands." She said, looking murderous.

Bruce looked up. "This has to stop, Lori. I can't lose anyone else. I'll snap...I think I really will kill if it happens again." He said miserably.

"Well it's a little hard to get Gotham clean...I don't know what to do either love." Lori glanced up as Lena walked over crying. "I'm so sorry dad I should have stopped him...I should have done something to save him." She sniffed having left Jason in Gemini's hands.

"It's not your fault, Helena. If anyone should have saved him, it's me. A father is supposed to protect his children, and I failed at that...again..." Bruce shook his head. "I can tell you one thing: Talia is going to pay for this." He said, sounding dangerous.

"What a shame, Jason. I liked you, too. This is for Damian...he was better than you ever could have hoped to be." Gemini said hatefully, before going to work, making sure that this time, he couldn't possibly come back.

Lena reached forward as Lori released Bruce and fell against his chest crying. Lori looked over grimaced a little at the mess Gemini had made "I don't understand how that thing can be here Taliah is dead...or the last we knew she was." Lori swallowed as she went to Damien trying to figure out how to explain his death.
