Gemini's expression went from exasperated to hurt, then to furious all in less than a second. She stepped forward and slapped him, hard, across the face. "How dare you! Do you think I would be here trying to reason with you if I didn't want you around? Do you even realize that your daughter is sitting at home right now terrified that you won't come home? Or that your son thinks your bad mood is his fault? What is wrong with you lately? Why can't you just talk to me? I'm trying to work things out, dammit! Stop pushing me away!" She told him, tears in her eyes.

"Because all you three do lately is complain that I'm not a good father." Joker rubbed his cheek. "Those two deserve a better father then me though I try. I'm just not made to be a father." In all the years she had never seen him doubt himself.

Gemini's jaw dropped. "You...you really think that? Oh my God, no, love. That's not true at all. Listen..." She shook her head. "I make jabs because I'm judgemental, and I never thought my comments were upsetting you. The kids don't mean any harm, they're just copying what they hear. They're only five, they don't know any better. You have every right to be mad at me, but please don't blame the twins." She reached forward to take his hand. "You have nothing to worry about. You're a great father. Those twins love you more than anything...I can't even count the times they've teased me for not being as fun as you. If anything, I've failed as a girlfriend because I didn't know how you were feeling. I'm so sorry..."

Joker crushed Gemini into a hug and held her close breathing in her smell. "Hold this thought." he turned took out Nightwing Red Robin and Robin before he went back to hugging Gemini. "I love you."

Gemini giggled a little, glad that he wasn't mad at her. "I love you, too. Should I go home, or wait till you're done here?" She asked.

"I think I'm about done." Joker took her hand and lead the way home humming softly.

Gemini smiled. "Okay." She said. She turned and waved to the boys as they walked. "Thanks for letting us sort things out!"

"Hey we have to arrest him." Damien sprung to his feet scowling. Joker snorted at him "The only one to do that was your dad and I wanted him to."

"Just tell your father that I got in the way. He'll understand." Gemini said with a chuckle.

"Ugh! Fine!" Damien and Richard vanished. "They are to much like Bruce."

Gemini smiled. "They are. But that makes things more interesting." She said, heading towards home. "Speaking of interesting, I wonder just how badly the twins have messed things up."

"So long as they haven't been eaten by the hyena's or eaten them I'll take it as a win." Joker laughed.

Gemini nodded. "True. Lucifer will have stopped that from happening, though." She said.

"I hope so." Joker opened the front door hoping to find everything in one piece.

Inside was, thankfully, the same as they had left it. April was asleep using Lucifer as a pillow, with the hyenas on either side. Cal was sitting on a chair, waiting for them. "Calcifer, what are you doing up?"
Cal stood up with a look of relief on his face and ran to his parents. He hugged Joker around the knees, which was as high as he could reach. "Daddy I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you mad!" He said. |
"You didn't your mom did." Joker said blandly never having been one to mince words. "But we sorted it out." he ruffled Cal's hair.

Cal sniffled. "Okay...so you're not gonna leave?" He asked tiredly. It was long past his bedtime.
Gemini knelt down and hugged her son. "I'm so sorry for worrying you, baby. Please try not to worry so much, though. Daddy and I argue a lot, but neither of us is going to leave you." April stirred and looked up with sleepy eyes. "Is Daddy home yet?" She asked groggily. |
"Of course I am my evil little princess." Joker grinned at her and herded them to there room. "do you two do this every time I go off to blow something up? You know I would never leave either of you. Your the second best thing to happen to me right after your mother of course."

Gemini smirked. "See? I told you, these kids love you more than anything." She said.
April hugged both parents and crawled into bed. "I love you, daddy..." She mumbled before falling asleep. Cal hopped into his bed. "We always wait for you." He said. |
Joker smiled and kissed the kids goodnight before closing the door on there sleeping forms. "I guess you where right after all." he kissed her cheek gentle. "I love you."

Gemini smiled. "I'm always right. And I love you, too." She said.

Joker wisely held his tongue just smiled softly. "That's why I love you." he kissed her hand.

Gemini smirked. "Smart man." She said, knowing that he had held back. "Let's get some sleep."

"I'm not tired." Joker sighed. "I'm to use to being awake all night." he frowned. "I'll rest next to you if you want."

Gemini shrugged. "Okay...or, we could...you know." She said suggestively.
