Robin had been lounging there and grinned. "Welcome back, boys," he said cheerfully. "I see you made it back in one piece."

"As close as ever," Nik replied dryly, though not with his usual wit. He just sounded rather tired.

"Figured we'd drop in on our way home," Cal said. He pointed towards the bar. "Who's the new chick?"

Robin's grin turned absolutely wicked. "You'll have to ask Ish," he said, getting up to follow them back into the office. Because it kind of was up to Ish how much to tell or not tell the brothers at this point.

That made Cal a bit curious in spite of himself.

"Since when do you not want to spread word of anything?" he asked. "If it's juicy enough to have you smirk like that, I'd have thought you'd be itching to tell us."

"Not my place to tell, this time," Robin said, pushing open the door to the office. "Ish, the boys scowled at your newest bartender in passing. She didn't even glance at them."

"Not surprising," Ish said, not looking up from one of his account books. "I'd imagine she's still claiming her place of authority amongst the patrons out there."

"With a sword," Robin agreed gleefully. "She'll have everyone cowed in no time. Didn't even need to learn that from you." He grinned. He loved dropping hints to tease the boys without giving them anything.

"Indeed," Ishiah replied.

"Okay, what's going on?" Cal asked, raising an eyebrow. Because he could hear a hint when it was thrown at him, and he knew there was something big he wasn't getting yet.

"Do you want to tell them or shall I?" Robin asked, looking at Ish. All teasing aside, he wouldn't tell the boys without Ish's permission, or Maggie's.

"You go back out and try not to antagonize Maggie," Ishiah said, glancing at Robin. "I will talk to them."

"You say that like I make a habit of it," Robin said with a pout. But he did leave.

"I presume Maggie is the new bartender," Nik said, raising an eyebrow.

"She is," Ishiah replied once Robin was gone. Cal blinked when Niko spoke, but didn't interrupt this time, just in case. He really didn't want Niko to withdraw and go silent again.

Nik raised an eyebrow at Ish. "It seems there must be more than that," he said. He wasn't going to really push, he didn't have enough energy for that, but he would prod a bit. Sometimes Ish needed a little prod to start talking.

"Indeed it is," Ishiah replied. He set aside the account books. "You both look like you need to recover a bit from your... trip, so I'll keep this brief. She is family, and is staying in the city for a while. I offered her a position here while she gets used to the city."

"Family?" That made Nik skeptical, because he hadn't noticed that Maggie had any sort of peri feeling to her. But he shrugged after a moment. "Alright." He wasn't curious enough to push, not yet.

Cal was curious, though, but he kept it in check, for the moment. Getting Niko back home was more important.

"Well, we just stopped in to let you all know we're back," he said instead.

"I can see that," Ishiah replied. "Unusually considerate of you."

Cal just made a face and flipped him off.

"We'll see you later," Nik said with a brief nod to Ish. He was ready to go home, take a shower, and bury himself in books for a while. If he could, anyway.

Ishiah nodded and waved them off, making a mental note to put Cal back onto the schedule the following week if nothing came up.

Back in the main part of the bar, Dani had showed up and was practically sitting on Robin's lap as she watched Maggie handle the bar.

Maggie had put her sword away again for the moment and was just keeping an eye on everything, refilling the occasional drink. No one else had tried to mess with her yet, which was good.

Nik paused when he saw Robin and another new girl, but then he shrugged. Nope, still didn't care. So he headed for the door.

Dani watched with a bit of interest as the two guys came out of the back and immediately left.

"They looked interesting," she commented to Robin. "Who are they?"

"Those are the Leandros brothers," Robin said. "They just got back in town. Cal, the black haired foul-tempered one, usually bartends here when they're around and not otherwise occupied."

Dani blinked.

"No," she said with a bit of disbelief. "That's really them?" Because, really, who in the paien world hadn't heard about the Leandros brothers?

Robin grinned. "That's them," he said cheerfully. "You'll be seeing a lot more of them, I'm sure."

"Sounds like it'll be interesting," Dani said, grinning. She was almost looking forward to it.

"Life is never dull with those two," Robin replied with a bit of a grin. "Never."

Maggie had heard that and just snorted a bit. Life was pretty damn interesting already, thanks.
