Robin didn't mind just cuddling. Taking it slow with Lily was a good plan, he figured and besides, he wanted to make sure she was even receptive to any advances.

"I hope so," Heather murmured. She leaned against him. "Even with that armor, it's not like it's safe..."

Lily stayed there leaning against him, watching as the battle started. She tensed a little every time she saw arrows coming out of nowhere.

"No," Charles agreed. "But he was never truly safe." He shrugged. "Besides, he has always come back. He will again this time."

"He'll be fine," Robin reassured her. "He always is. They look after him."

"Still," Heather said quietly. "Anything can happen. I just hope he's careful."

"I know," Lily said quietly. "Doesn't make this any less nerve-wracking right now." She sighed.

"We'll make sure he's fine when he gets back," Charles said gently but firmly, making sure she was comfortable and settling his arm around her.

"I know," Robin replied. He grinned a bit. "Just think, you'll get to scold him for any attempted stupidity when he gets back."

Heather nodded a bit.

"As long as he comes back here tonight," she said. "He might choose to go back to the tower instead."

Lily snorted. "Like he'll listen to me," she said, although she did relax marginally.

"We'll see what he does," Charles said. "If nothing else, he will answer his phone or a text."

"It'll still make you feel better," Robin replied, letting her relax a bit more next to him.

"True," Heather said, leaning against Charles a bit more.

Lily winced when Clint climbed/fell out of a building, but he didn't drop far before Tony got him and got him to another perch. Oh, he was going to hear about that later.

Charles stayed next to Heather, providing comfort and also keeping an eye on Tony so he'd have an idea what to expect when the genius got back.

Finally, the news coverage of the battle ended. The news anchors assured everyone watching that the crisis was over and cleanup was beginning, and Heather sighed and turned it off. Now to see if Tony would come back to her place or not.

When the battle was over, Robin nudged Lily.

"See, he's fine," he said. "Now come on, time to start dinner. I'll help if you like, my cooking skills are the stuff of legend, nothing will ever compare to the culinary masterpieces I can prepare." He gave her a teasing grin.

Charles sent off a quick text to Tony asking him to check in when he could. He figured that would be enough of a reminder for the genius.

Lily laughed a little at that and stood. "Alright, I can let you help," she said with a teasing little grin of her own.

Clint texted Lily a few minutes later.

On my way back. Need me to pick anything up while I'm out?

Ice cream. A carton or two. Whatever flavor you prefer. Lily texted back after a minute. It took her a minute to decide, and she had to keep things from boiling over or exploding.

Got it.

About twenty minutes later, Clint came inside, a shopping bag in hand.

"I'm back," he called. He had a glorious bruise forming on the inside of one arm, but otherwise he wasn't really hurt. A few scrapes and scratches, but nothing more.

"We're in the kitchen," Lily called back. Robin really was pretty good in the kitchen, even if he was just as slapdash as her. It was kind of entertaining to watch, really.

Clint followed the smell of dinner and went into the kitchen.

"Hey," he said. "Brought the ice cream you wanted."

"Great, thanks." Lily looked him over before she hugged him. "You don't look too banged up unless you're hiding broken ribs or something."

"No broken ribs this time," Clint said as he returned the hug. "Promise. Just a bit scraped and bruised."

"I can work with that." Lily stayed there for a few moments before she stepped back, taking the ice cream and putting it in the fridge. "Dinner should be ready soon, if Robin doesn't make anything else explode."

"I have not made anything explode," Robin retorted from where he was at the stove. "Not in the least. That was a flambé."

Clint just snickered.

"Alright, then I'll make breakfast, since you guys are making dinner," he said.

"Only if you want to," Lily said, touching his cheek briefly before giving him a bit of room. They were both used to her randomly touching and poking and giving them little looks, but she didn't want to scare either of them off with too much too soon. "And the only reason you didn't explode the rice is because I pulled it off the heat before it boiled over and blew the lid off, Robin."

"The rice was your responsibility," Robin replied. "I make perfect rice, not exploding rice, therefore it wasn't my rice." He did grin a bit, though, to make sure she knew he was teasing.

"You're so full of it," Clint said, snickering. Robin just made a bit of a face at him.

Lily did indeed grin and pat his shoulder. "It's okay to admit you're not perfect all the time, we won't think less of you," she teased, still grinning. She got out plates and things for them, keeping one eye on Clint to make sure he really was fine.

Robin sputtered at that, but didn't actually protest.

Clint could tell Lily was keeping an eye on him and sighed a bit.

"Promise, Lil, my arm's the worst of it. One of my guards got pulled off, and I didn't have time to find it again. Just caught myself with the bowstring, that's all."

Lily huffed a bit at being caught but didn't actually protest.

"I know, I just, it'll take a bit for me to really know, okay?" she asked, just a touch defensive, because even though Lucivar and Daemon tried to kill each other sparred regularly, that was very different from actual world-saving combat.

"Would you feel better if I let you put an ice pack on it?" Clint teased. "I was going to get one anyways."
