"Why not?" Lucivar asked in return. "Get up, and make sure you pack what you need. I'm giving you half an hour."
Robin flapped a hand at him dismissively as he got up and got ready to go. He could do camping. He didn't enjoy it, but he could.
Lucivar nodded and left the room, going to pack his own bag quickly. He wanted to be out of the house soon, so Lily could have her space.
Clint and Robin both met him on time, although Robin did not look all that pleased still.
"So where are we going?" Clint asked. |
"I have a few spots that I prefer for camping," Lucivar said. "Just follow me. We'll be gone for the whole weekend."
Robin grumbled but headed after him. It was going to be a long weekend.
He was quite happy to see the house again at the end of the weekend. |
Lucivar had to admit, he was grudgingly impressed by Clint and Robin. They were both able to survive the camping trip fairly well, and they returned home only a little worse for wear than when they started. Hopefully, they'd given Lily the space to think that she wanted.
When they got back, Lily was curled up in front of the TV napping with Dejaal sprawled next to her, clearly keeping her warm. The tiger lifted his head to watch the three troop in and snorted at them.
Lucivar nodded in greeting to Dejaal and went to put his things down.
Robin sighed in relief when he walked in the door and immediately went upstairs to put his stuff away and shower. Clint just left his things by the door for the moment and worked on getting his boots off. |
Lily woke when she heard them all and blinked a few times, yawning and stretching, revealing a stripe of pale skin on her stomach.
"Hey," she greeted, looking at the two who hadn't vanished straight upstairs. |
"Hey," Lucivar said, grinning a bit. "Have a good weekend without us?"
"Mmhm." Lily grinned. "I made scones and watched sappy movies, it was awesome." Because while Lucivar would occasionally suffer through a romantic comedy for her, she knew he hated them, and so generally avoided them unless he was away.
"Good, you had fun," Lucivar said. He made no secret of not liking sappy movies, so at least she got to watch them when he was gone.
"How about you? Did you all get along okay?" Lily sat up to look between him and Clint.
"We got along fine," Lucivar said. Clint snerked a bit.
"Yeah, once we got Robin to shut up about roughing it," he added. |
Lily grinned. "I figured he wouldn't be happy, Robin likes his creature comforts," she said. "You two want to go set your stuff down and I can throw something together for dinner?"
"Already way ahead of you," Clint said once he managed to get his boots off. He grabbed his bag and headed up the stairs.
Lily grinned and shook her head, getting up and heading into the kitchen so she could get a start on dinner.
Once Lucivar was sure that Lily was alright and the other two were getting settled, he headed towards his own room to settle in himself.
Lily didn't bother with anything fancy, instead making pasta for them all for the night. Pasta was always a good go-to in this house, after all.
Robin was the first one back downstairs. He was dressed in silk lounge clothes and a silk robe, and he sprawled out on the couch with a dramatic sigh.
"Feel better now?" Lily teased with a grin, looking over at him. Oh yes, back to the creature comforts.
"I've done my time camping out," Robin grumped. "I have more than enough money to never need to do that again."
Lily snickered. "Lucivar probably won't ask again, especially if you grumbled about it. He's not usually unnecessarily cruel."
"Not usually, oh that's reassuring," Robin grumbled. He settled back on the couch some more.
