"Sorry, I didn't know what came over me," Weiss responded as she stopped, coming back to her senses.

"This isn't like you..." Ruby said before getting a mischievous grin. "... I didn't think I had that effect on you." She shot back a tease.

"I guess you do," Weiss said with a light laugh before noticing her mischievous grin. "Now then, what do you have planned, hm?" she asked.

"M-me? What do you mean?" Ruby asked, actually a bit confused by what she was meaning.
|
"What, you don't have anything planned, with a grin like that?" Weiss asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Yes... I mean no!" Ruby realized what she said and quickly corrected it, blushing furiously. "I mean... Well... I..." She was at a lose for words, trying to figure out what to say.

"You aren't?" Weiss asked, surprised before getting a mischievous grin of her own. "I didn't think I had such an effect on you Ruby..."

"H-Hey! You can't use that against me!" Ruby pouted.

"I just did, sweetie," Weiss responded with a smirk now. She didn't realize how much fun it was to tease Ruby like this until now.

"Y-y-y-you!" Ruby let out, looking away in a pout. "Mean..."

"Sorry," Weiss said as she tried to stop from laughing. "Though I will admit, you look cute when you pout like that," she said before wrapping an arm around her lightly. "I am sorry though, for doing that. But it is a little easy to tease you Ruby," she admitted.

The moment Weiss' arm went around her, Ruby turned her name sake. She went silent, her eyes widened and her mouth hung open as she tried to think of what to say in response. Her admitting her feelings and Ruby, without saying it, feeling the same.

"I'm glad I told you," Weiss said softly.

Ruby finally found her voice, speaking softly. "Yeah, I'm glad you told me as well. At least now I can stop wondering who you had feelings for... That was actually kind of annoying to try and guess with no clues." She quickly looked away, wondering if Weiss was going to get upset by that.

"What about you?" Weiss asked curiously. "I mean, if I hadn't told you...well, you get the idea, right?" Weiss asked, trying not to get too embarrassed over the question. She was also a little worried about the answer. If she hadn't told Ruby...would Ruby have eventually asked on her own? 'Probably not...' she thought silently.

"I'd of been to afraid to say anything... at least at first. It's hard to say, You are not the easiest person to talk to sometimes, but you have been working on it." Ruby nodded, looking away. "So it's... hard to say if and when... I'd think so... eventually."

Weiss thought about that for a second, knowing what Ruby said was true. She knew that she could be a bit bossy at times, among many other things; the battle with the Death Stalker and Nevermore a good example of that. "Sorry...it's just...I'm not really use to having someone having my back, you know? I've learned how to look after myself in the past and well..." she started to say, not sure how to finish the sentence.

"It's given you a sort of pessimistic outlook on things?" Ruby asked as she tilted her head to the side. That was the only that Ruby could assume she meant. There might of been something else but she just jumped on it for now.

"Yeah, something along those lines," Weiss responded.

Ruby stood up suddenly, puting a hand in front of her clenched in an over-dramatic fashion. "Alright, Then I'll make sure to break that attitude as best I can!" She let out, before turning to Weiss. "You know... Do you even think you can handle someone like me?" Ruby asked bluntly.

Weiss was set off-balance for a second once Ruby got up. After hearing her proclamation, she couldn't help but laugh before getting up and close into Ruby's personal space and placed her hand over Ruby's heart, being bold for once. As she did so, she could feel her face heating up, and could also see Ruby starting to blush. "I don't know if I can handle someone like you to be honest...but I'm willing to give it a shot. Just don't use your Semblance to run away, alright?"

"I remember what happened when we became partners... I think I'd like to avoid the yelling again." Ruby said, at a lose for any more words then that.

"Well...you and I did get off on the wrong foot," Weiss said as she remembered how Ruby caused an explosion by sneezing on some fire-aligned Dust.

"It was an accident. You did wave that slightly opened vial at me..." Ruby rubbed her nose. "I didn't know it before, but that stuff is like pepper to the nose." She said, blushing as she remembered that chaos.

"At least I know how to distract human enemies," Weiss said with a light laugh.
