"A complete guess." Raven smirked, "I was banking on being wrong." She said honestly.
Amaya felt heat rising to her cheeks after hearing Raven's admission. "O-oh"
"You need to stay calm. It's really alright. We'll work through things together... okay?"
"Alright," she said before raising Raven's hand with her own, giving it a light kiss. "Thank you..." she whispered
She blushed, "What was that for?" She said softly, as they made their way to a spot she could sit.
"Do I have to have a reason?" Amaya asked softly.
"I guess that's a good point." Raven said softly as she took a seat on a bench. "The breeze feels amazing..." She let out as she shivered from the sudden chill down her spine. It hurt, but she fought it. She needed this.
Amaya sat down next to Raven and closed her eyes, letting the breeze pass by her as well. "It really does" she said softly. Feeling her faunus girlfriend shiver lightly she opened one of her eyes and looked at her with concern. "You okay?" she asked with a whisper.
"Sudden body movement. A bit of pain but I'm alright. I promise." She smiled softly, "Don't worry, I will tell you if something is wrong."
Amaya looked at Raven for a few minutes before nodding. "Alright. Just please do tell me if something's bothering you," she started to say before smirking. "As your bodyguard/girlfriend it's my job to worry"
"Thank you. Nothing is bothering me. I just had a shiver." She said as she looked up at the sky. "Go away..." She muttered to the clouds above them, wanting the direct light of the sun to fall onto her, not just the stray beams that peak through the clouds on the very rare moments.
"Alright," Amaya said before hearing Raven's comment, giggling lightly. "Sorry love, I can't blow away the clouds" she teased. Though it would be nice if she could.
"Yeah yeah, I know." Raven sighed as she stretched out her neck. "So, Anything you'd like to talk about? I mean... We have all day and everything but..." Raven was finding this a little awkward. She was weak, couldn't do much and her mind wasn't in the right place so it was difficult to come up with something to talk about.
"Well...you know about my past, what about yours? All I know is that you were once in the White Fang, but that's about it" Amaya admitted. "Though...if you don't want to, you don't have to," she said before rubbing the back of her neck. "Or you could tell me how you met Blake"
"I was an orphan. I don't really remember my parents. With that, I never really had a last name. All I know, is that my parents gave me the name Raven. I hold onto it tightly. As I grew up, I use to read comics all the time." She smiled weakly, "Superhero comics really. Of course, I had to fall in love with one specific hero... or really Anti-hero. I've read every comic revolving around Raven, even going so far as to make her cloak myself. I see myself in Ruby honestly." She paused, remembering the time before her time with the Fang. "I remembered how big that cloak was, as I wanted to grow into it, so it dragged on the ground. I was constantly repairing it."
Amaya blushed lightly as that. "So...is that why you were looking for me in the Emerald Forest?" she teased before noticing something. "If that's the case...what happened to it? Did you leave it behind when you escaped?" she asked.
"I couldn't find it when I left. When I joined, I was always seen with it on. Blake can vouch for that. But that's not the only thing. I didn't use my name while I was with them. I went by Rachel Roth. I was actually a little afraid to go by my real name while I was with them. Even if it was protests as first that I was apart of, I still wasn't... comfortable. Blake has more confidence then me when she first joined."
"Yet...you're the one whose showing your faunus features while she isn't," Amaya admitted, wondering why that was. "But it's a shame that you couldn't find your cloak. Perhaps...I could create another one for you?" she asked.
"Not... It's got some memories I'd like to forget. Also, I never have hid what I am... just who I am. My name. I guess... I guess I knew that what happened with them would. Female intuition I'd guess."
"I see what you mean...I think. Speaking of your kitty...do you mind if I ask how you two met and befriended each other?" She asked.
"I was there when she first joined. I was always standing beside her during the protests, the movements. All the peaceful movements we tried to support. We had similar ideals and she was just a little younger then I was. So I also wanted to protect her. It was rough at first, but it quickly became a very strong friendship."
"And the catnip? I promise not to bring it up, but I'm curious" she admitted.
"Catnip?" Raven tried to remember, putting her hand to her head. "I... don't recall bringing that up." She said, her mind still hazy from the recovery process she was going through."
"Before the White fang idiots, you told me that Blake got into some catnip and she was affected by the drug," Amaya responded
Raven sat silently for a moment, thinking, before finally piecing her statement together. "It's like getting her really drunk, and on a lot of drugs at the same time... just without the negative side effects. She changes into something that I never want to see her in again... and I know her team would never want to see her in."
