Alissa walked with him easily, just enjoying the peace while it lasted.

"Whatever you'd like," Steve said with a little grin. "We can go back to ice skating or we can do something else."

It didn't take long for Bucky to find the little ice cream place. It was out of the way, but it was obviously popular; there were people sitting outside on benches, and there were just as many sitting inside. As he opened the door for Alissa, the man behind the ice cream counter waved.

"Hey, James," the man said. Bucky waved back, grinning.

"Surprise me," Taylor said with a little grin.

Alissa grinned a bit at that. Oh, he was a regular, then. That was a good sign. She headed up to the counter to look at the flavors.

Steve paused for a moment before he grinned. "Ever been on a motorcycle?"

"Who's the lady, James?" the guy at the counter asked as Bucky walked up with Alissa. He waggled his eyebrows a bit.

"Quit that, Cody," Bucky replied, though he was grinning. "This is Alissa."

"Once or twice, when I was a kid," Taylor replied. She grinned. "Why, what did you have in mind?"

"Hi." Alissa grinned at Cody. "So you've got an expectation to live up to, he says this is the best place in town." She nudged Bucky.

"It's a nice clear night, traffic won't be too bad this late. Good night for a ride." Steve grinned a bit.

Cody grinned.

"He's biased, this place's been in the family for four generations now, it's older than he is," he replied. "But hey, I'll take all the praise I can get."

Taylor smiled.

"Sounds like fun," she said.

Alissa laughed a little at that. "Well, if it's been in the family for that long, I'll let you pick the flavors," she said. "Surprise me."

"I've got an extra helmet," Steve told her, walking over towards his bike with her and taking his time. "We don't even have to come back to the city tonight if we don't want to."

"Allergic to anything?" Cody asked as he went to open the freezer.

"I'm not exactly packed for an overnight trip," Taylor pointed out. She slipped her hand into his. "Where did you have in mind for us to go?"

"Nope, no allergies." Alissa grinned as she watched.

"For just a few hours out? I know a good diner. If we were to go overnight, there's a nice little town not too far away." Steve shrugged.

"Good," Cody said as he pulled out a scoop. He doled out three scoops of butter pecan into a waffle dish. "Toppings?"

"Then how about we pop back to my place so I can pack a bag real quick?" Taylor asked, smiling a little.

"Hmm. Whipped cream and one of your choice?" Alissa grinned. Oh that looked so good.

"Sounds good to me." Steve grinned and led the way over to his bike, handing her a helmet.

Cody grinned and put whipped cream and tiny rainbow candies on the ice cream. He handed it to her along with a spoon and a napkin.

"And there you go," he said.

Taylor took the helmet with a grin.

"You just happen to keep the spare with you?" she teased, looking at him.

"Thank you. This looks amazing." Alissa grinned, kind of excited now. It had been a while since she'd had good ice cream.

Steve blushed a bit but grinned. "I was planning on asking if you wanted to at least go for a ride," he said.

"My pleasure," Cody replied with a wink, grinning. "Make James bring you around more often, yeah?"

"Oh I plan on it," Bucky broke in.

Taylor grinned a bit.

"I see," she said. "Well, it's a good thing I agreed, then, isn't it?"

Alissa grinned at that. "Well, then, I guess I'll see you again soon." She tucked her free arm through Bucky's.

"Definitely. I'm glad you agreed and didn't laugh at me or anything." Steve grinned a bit.

"Nag James to bring you in on experiment days," Cody said with a wink. "I'm mixing up new flavors all the time."

"I wouldn't laugh at you for that," Taylor said, kissing his cheek. She grinned teasingly. "Though I'm sure I can get my hands on something suitably mortifying, if you want me to."

"Sounds awesome," Alissa agreed. "I'll definitely bug him about that."

Steve laughed quietly. "I don't think you'd have to try too hard," he said, rather wryly. "Bucky likes to try to mortify me occasionally."

"Good," Cody said. He gave them both a wave. "Enjoy!"

"I bet you return the favor whenever you can," Taylor said, grinning.

"Thanks!" Alissa grinned and headed out with Bucky, already getting a quick lick of her ice cream.

"Whenever possible," Steve agreed with a wicked grin. "I have plenty of ammo, fortunately."

Bucky grinned as he walked with her.

"Glad I brought you here?" he asked.

Taylor grinned back.

"Good to know," she said. "Anyways, come on, I need to pack a bag if we're going to run away for the weekend."

"Very," Alissa said with a grin. "This is the best ice cream I've had in a while, I will definitely be going back there."

Steve chuckled but got on his bike, giving her time to get settled behind him. He'd take it easy on her while they were in the city, at least.

"Feel free," Bucky said. "Cody's always nice to the regulars." He grinned. "And he wasn't kidding when he said he's always mixing up new things, I swear it's like every other time I show up."

Taylor settled behind him, wrapping her arms around him and holding on.

Alissa snickered at that. "Sounds like my kind of place," she said. "I like trying new things."

Steve drove back to her apartment at a nice, sedate pace, parking there and letting her off first. "Do you want me to come up or wait here?"

"Good," Bucky said, grinning. "That means I can take you to all of my favorite places."

"You can come upstairs, if you like," Taylor said. "Up to you." She still turned a bit pink, though.

Alissa laughed quietly. "You sound like you've been waiting for this," she teased.

Steve smiled a bit. "I'll come up, this way I can carry the bag," he said. "Fortunately I don't mind being a pack mule."
