Clint made a face.
"Nope, peanut butter coffee, sounds nasty, never going to try that," he said. |
"No, not in coffee," Jackie said, rolling her eyes at him. "Just in terms of candy bars. Jeeze, peanut butter coffee, no. Peanut butter is good in a lot of things, but not coffee."
Clint snorted a bit.
"I just eat it from the jar, most of the time," he said. He grinned. "Like that Goober stuff, where it's peanut butter and jelly together in the same jar? You just gob it out and spread it on bread, one-step snack." |
Jackie snickered. "Yeah, that's pretty good stuff, although I get the good stuff too, for baking."
"You should team up with Bruce," Clint suggested, grinning. "He cooks like nobody's business, it's awesome."
"Sounds like my kind of man," Jackie said approvingly. Then she grinned teasingly at him. "Who knows, maybe he's my other soulmate, I still have one unaccounted for."
"Yeah, you mentioned that," Clint mused. "What kind of words are you listening for for that last one?"
"More Doctor Who references," Jackie said with a grin. "New Who, specifically. Because New Who is awesome."
"Really?" Clint asked, grinning. "Wow, you must click with a geek. That's kinda fun."
"I bet. I'm kind of looking forward to that one and having someone new to talk to about the Doctor. Cat and I see pretty eye-to-eye, but it's always fun to talk to others."
Clint grinned.
"Well, you're in luck," he said. "I've seen most of New Who, myself." |
"Who's your Doctor?" Jackie immediately asked, looking at him. Because this was Very Important.
"Ten," Clint said immediately, grinning widely. "All the way. Ten forever."
"Okay I love Ten," Jackie said with a grin. "And Nine. Nine was my first, so Ten can never replace him, but I love them both. Just all the feels for those two."
"Nine had sass," Clint agreed. "But, I dunno, I guess I clicked better with Ten."
"I liked Ten better for the adventure and for the fun, but Nine just broke my heart, multiple times." Jackie shook her head.
"I didn't like Eleven much, though," Clint said. "Too... I dunno. Too something."
"I had to drag myself through Eleven. Eleven was too different, too childish, almost." Jackie made a face. "I don't know how anyone can like Eleven unless they started with him, he's just not at all like the Doctor."
"Exactly," Clint said, grinning. "That's exactly it. Though I hear Twelve shows promise."
"I haven't started on Twelve yet," Jackie admitted. "I kind of don't want to. I just want to binge on Nine and Ten, again."
"I want to see Twelve, if only to see what happens," Clint said. "I need to see how different he manages to get from Eleven."
"Yeah. I'll get there. Watch Nine and Ten, the last episode of Eleven, and then go into Twelve. See if I like him at all." Jackie shrugged.
"The 50th was amazing," Clint offered, grinning. "Ten, Eleven, and War. It was hysterical."
"That I will have to catch up on," Jackie agreed. "If I ever have time again, anyway."
"It was glorious," Clint assured her. "Ten and Eleven were kind of snapping at each other for a while, War pretty much decided that Ten and Eleven were his mid-life crisis, it was great."
