Damen frowmnd."no.Im sorry Lori",he said softly

"It's not the greatest thing in the world. The older vampires act like it's a great gift but I know it's a curse." Lori rubbed her cheeks. "this is the first time I've ever been out in the daylight and I'm realizing just how much of a curse it is."

Damien stood and walked over and pulled her into a toght hug.

Lori hugged Damien back clinging to him sniffling a little. "I'm sorry for biting you so much."

Damen smiled."its okay,maybe we can find a way to try and contol your thirst"

Miyu smiled softly at the two

"It's almost impossible to control completely." Lori sighed. "You get use to it after a while and learn how to space out your meals so that you aren't drinking every time you turn around."

Damen nodded."veruy well,well help with that"

"That means I have to avoid drinking from you. We'll get it down to once a day." Lori smiled at him.

"What about sunlight?" Cal asked.

"So long as I'm not in direct contact I can stay out for an hour or two." Lori shrugged.

Miyu blinked."what about teh parasol ,will it help at all?"

Damien smiled and nodded."lots of practice"

"It helps a lot I just need to get use to the heat." Lori smiled. "I've never been able to walk across the ground in a straight line before. Normally it's from shadow to shadow."

Miyu then looked thoughtfull."what if i magiced teh parasol to give a cooling effect...so the more sun and heat it takes in,the cooler youd be"

"That would be cool but first I have to get use to not relying on shadows and rely on the parasol as well." Lori chuckled. "It's hard when you only go out when it's dark out."

Miyu nodded."well have to work on getting outside if we can"

"It's going to be hard and I'll be tired and cranky for a while." Lori warned.

"We can handle it...I hope." Cal smiled at Lori. "That's what friends do."

Miyu nodded."well give you chocolate and Damien will give you hugs"

Damnien blushed softy and smiled."e care about you Lori and will do whatever we can to help you"

"Alright." Lori smiled back feeling like the for the first time in forever that she was welcome, wanted, and like she belonged somewhere."

Cal smiled a little and turned to his food. "We better eat fast." he began to scarf down the food.

Miyu nodded and dug in as well.

Damnien smieled and kissed her cheek."thank you for e\telling me",he said and also began eating

Lori ate slower not really to hungry that day. She finished first and waited for the others.

Cal finished second and stood wiping his mouth off.

dAMEN SMIELD AS HE FINISHED."THAT WAS GOOD",HE STOOD AND OFFERED HIS ARM TO lORI

Miyu STTOD UP."WE BETTER GET GOING WE'LL BE LATE"

Lori took his arm smiling happily and lead the way to there first class.

Cal took Miyu's hand giving it a gentle squeeze.

Miyu smiled at Armand and followed teh others;

Damen smiled ,glad that she took his arm,.then kissed her cheek before they started to walk

Lori claimed them a row of seats and pulled Damien down next to her.

"This is the best." Cal observed determined to pay attention this time.

Damien smieled staying close to her."lets try and focus"

Miyu nodded."absolutely"

Lori focused on the class amazed by the what kind of spells they could do.

"She looks so amazed." Cal whispered to Miyu. "Aren't I suppose to look like that?" He was half wizard while Lori's parents where both wizards. She should be use to magic at least kind of use to it. His father tried to never use it unless it was absolutely needed and he wasn't sure he would ever get use to the things they where learning to do with just a word.

Miyu blinked at Cal and smiled softly."maybe they dont use it much so knowing what you can do is amazing"
