'They've been wonderful this morning. No biting or hair pulling or anything. Since the weather is so nice today, we played outside and I read them a story and now they're napping." Tino responded. He had a smile on his face, happy that Berwald had responded so quickly to his good morning message. 'How has your day been so far?' he sent.

Berwald chuckled to himself as he read Tino's message. He took another sip of coffee before responding. 'That's good. I got Peter to go out and play with his friends. I've just been reading the newspaper.' He always found that more relaxing than listening to the news on tv or reading it online. There was something to be said about actually paper, solid in his hands. 'Do you have long to talk?'

"Anything interesting happening in the news?' Tino sent. He himself didn't really watch the news to often. He normally just checked the weather before he left the house. At Berwald's question, he looked at the clock to where the kids were sleeping on mats in front of his desk and thought for a moment. "I have about half an hour. Can't leave the kids asleep for to long.' he replied.

Berwald eyed the neatly folded newspaper. 'Not really. Read something about the yankees and this and that.' He tended to read the news just to, in case something interesting had happened. It served as routine and something to do when he woke up. He sipped a little more coffee, tasting as much sugar as the bitter flavor. 'Lucky. I wish I could get my son to nap like that.'

Tino wasn't surprised by the bit about the news. That's the reason he stopped paying attention to it; nothing ever happened. He let out a quiet laugh at the next part. "It helps when they've been running around all morning. That and a good story. But isn't Peter a bit to old for naps?' he sent, curious. He wasn't sure what age children stopped having naps, but he was sure it was at least ten. But on the other hand, he himself liked to take naps occasionally. So he couldn't really judge about that.

Peter never took naps since Berwald adopted him, but then, he'd always been an outgoing and very active child. He didn't fall into the stereotype of children adopted at that age. 'Yes,' Berwald admitted. 'But if he ever took a nap, or slept when I told him too, I could too.' Really it was all for his own benefit. Children were so much more peaceful when they were asleep. Or out of the house. He really was enjoying this overwhelming silence.

'I understand what you mean. There are some days were I wish I could lay down and sleep with the children. But I have to stay awake in case something happens.' Tino responded. He thought for a moment and checked the time. He needed to be waking the kids up soon and there was still something he wanted to ask Berwald. 'I was wondering.... When are we going to go out again? I want to see you again.'

'I think that would be cute,' Berwald said honestly. His fingers paused on the keyboard as he started at what else Tino said. He sighed a little, showing his embarrassment and own nerves, the things that didn't show in the way he typed. He really had meant to call Tino, but hadn't managed it. He told himself that would be best, or at least shoot him a message, but he ended up unsure of how to start the conversation. 'We can go out whenever you want. I want to see you too,' he finally typed back.

Tino thought for a moment before replying. 'I'm free this weekend. We could meet up somewhere for the day.' he suggested. He was excited at the thought of spending more time with Berwald. He felt he has only began to scratch the surface of what made the man. He wanted to know more and to do that, he needed to spend more time with him.

'I can do that,' Berwald replied before even thinking. He supposed he would have to find someone to look after Peter if he would be out of the house for a while again, especially with the kid's penchant to not listen and get into trouble. He spent a few seconds looking up the weather forecast. 'Looks like a chance of rain Sunday. Saturday would be better unless you want to stay indoors.'

Tino thought for a moment. He wondered what sort of things Berwald might be interested. He knew what he liked to do on weekends, but felt that it might not be something the other man would be interested in. 'We could go to the mall or the park or the beach.' he suggested, listing out the things at the top of his head.

Berwald opened a few more tabs, continuing his research in a quick manner. 'Beach is too far,' he responded with immediately. The other ideas took more googling. 'Mall is too crowded.' It would be the weekend after all. Park? That he didn't need to look up. 'Park would be fine. You could bring hanatamago.' He liked the sunshine after all and it would be fun with someone bubbly like Tino.

Tino beamed to himself. 'That sounds wonderful~ Hana loves the park. I'm sure you'll love her~ So I'll see you Saturday at the park then. Let's say about noon?' he asked, looking at the clock again. Not that he needed to. He could see a few of the kids already starting to stir from their naps. He needed to wrap this conversation up before they awoke.

'Sure I will too,' Berwald typed. 'I'll see you there then. Do you have to go soon?' It didn't seem like much time passed, but the time at the bottom of his screen had moved anyway. He wanted to keep talking to Tino, but he also knew he couldn't hog him. 'If so, have a very nice day.' He even added a smiling emote to the end, a total contradiction to his normally unsmiling face.

'Unfortunately, yes. The kids need to be woken up and kept on schedule. I will see you Saturday then. But you are free to contact me before then if you want:D' Tino sent. He closed his laptop and flipped on the classroom lights, going around to wake everybody up so he could take them to the bathroom before continuing with their day.

Berwald sighed and clicked out of the chat window as he pondered what to do next. Since he still had a good portion of his morning left to himself, he decided to do the chore of finding someone to keep an eye on Peter for that day. Of course, he had someone in mind even if he hesitated. Eventually, he texted Mathias that he needed a babysitter. As an afterthought, he added that he had beer in fridge, just not to drink it around Peter. Lord knew that guy could be irresponsible sober and worse drunk, but he liked kids and would babysit for free.

Five minutes later, the other man texted him back. 'Cool! Be there at noon!'

Tino was in a great mood for the rest of the day. Nothing could bring him down. Not even the really rude man he ran into on his way home. When he got home, he picked Hana up and held her in his arms. "Guess what girl? We're going to the park on Saturday~ Isn't that wonderful?" he asked, getting a happy bark in return. "I want you to meet somewhere very special, so I expect you to be on your best behavior when we go, understand?" Another bark. He gave her a smile and kissed the top of her head. "You're just a good girl, aren't you~" She licked his face at that, tail wagging back and forth.

When saturday came, Peter barely looked up from his video game as Berwald told him he'd been out for the afternoon. "And Mathias'll watch over ya," he added. Peter let out a whine.

"Aw! But that guy's such an idiot!"

"Peter," he warned. "You still have to listen to him." Berwald didn't actually discount what his son said. When the other man pulled into the driveway, he headed out, feeling like hurrying to his date. He couldn't help it. He wanted to see Tino.

Tino was excited when he woke up on Saturday. He gave Hana a bath before washing himself and getting ready. When it was time to go, he hooked Hana up to her leash, grabbed his phone, wallet, and keys, and headed out. Since it was such a nice day, he decided to walk to the park instead of drive. It would take a little extra time, but that was fine. He still arrived at the intended time. But once he got there, he realized they hadn't specified where in the park to meet. He decided that he should just wait at the center for Berwald and if he wasn't there in ten minutes to go looking for him.

Berwald walked himself' always considering the city easier to get around that way. In his excitement he arrived almost five minutes early and found himself wandering. He didn't mind and kept an eye out for the shorter man, though that would make him harder to find. The breeze felt nice where he left the top button of his shirt undone though and the bag he carried didn't way much. He started on the left side of the park and made his way to the far end at his slow pace.

Tino got tired of just standing there after a couple of minutes. He checked his watch and decided to just go ahead and start looking for Berwald. He began walking, smiling down at Hanatamago as she trotted beside him, head held high as her tail wagged. He knew the park was her favorite place to be. He headed in the left direction, since he had come from the right when he got here. He hoped he would find the other man soon.

Berwald made it to the park center, looking a little lost, before he tripped over a little white dog. "Sorry," he murmured. When he looked down though, he realized who was attached to the dog's leash. Berwald offered his best smile. "Hey. Almost missed ya. This hana?" He bent down to give the dog a pat, already feeling he would like the animal.

Tino hadn't noticed Berwald at first until he heard him speak, having been looking in a different direction. He beamed at the other man. "Yep! This is my little baby. Hana, this is the man I wanted you to meet. His name is Berwald. Say hello." He stated. Hana gave a small bark before raised onto her back legs, the front ones resting against the tall man's legs as her tail wagged quickly.

Berwald smiled at Hanatamago. Leaning down more, he took a little paw to shake. "Nice ta meet ya." He shifted to free his leg up before he turned his attention to Tino. "Wanna walk to the lake? I brought things," he murmured as he thrust out the bag he held. Berwald really did think this through. Inside the reusable grocery bag, he tossed a frisbee, two bottles of water, and a disposable camera. That had been an afterthought and he hoped he could bring himself to take it out and use.

Tino smiled when he saw Berwald shake Hana's paw. He could tell they were going to get along great. Dogs, after all, were great judges of character. And he definitely trusted Hana's opinion on that. Not that he didn't already trust Berwald. But Hana was always able to tell when his past boyfriends were bad people, despite appearing to be a good person. "That sounds wonderful!" He exclaimed. He turned in the direction of the lake and started walking. He wanted to take Berwald's hand while he walked, but wasn't sure if they were at that point in their relationship or not.
