Berwald snapped the picture and set the camera back in his bag before nodding. "Kay, I'm ready," he grunted to indicate Tino should take his picture. Unlike the other man though, he didn't do much to pose or even smile. He simply held still with his usual face on. He found himself thinking and almost giddy to see what Tino's picture would look like even if that didn't show on his face. Waiting to develop the film only added to the goodness right?

Vampyre Ninja 05-07-2015 12:06 AM

Tino nodded and picked his phone back up. He activated the camera mode and aimed it at Berwald. Though he wished the other would try to smile, he wasn't going to try to force him to do something he wasn't comfortable with. Though he felt it would make the picture better. He took a moment before snapping the picture and setting the phone back down with a smile. "All done~"

Kat Dakuu 05-07-2015 03:37 AM

Berwald relaxed a bit when the picture was over, then leaned over the table. "Can I see?" he asked, holding his hand out for the phone. "Can't show ya mine till I finish the whole film though...." He only took the two pictures so far. At this rate, he wouldn't finish the roll soon. He didn't even know what to take pictures of.

Vampyre Ninja 05-07-2015 06:43 AM

"Of course you can see." Tino told him. He picked his phone up and opened his photos. After selecting the one he just took, he handed the phone over. "How much more space is on the film?" He asked, curious about how soon he was going to be able to see the pictures. He wasn't sure if Berwald just got the camera, or had it for a while, so he couldn't be entirely sure just by judging from today.

Kat Dakuu 05-07-2015 05:59 PM

Berwald leaned over to look at the picture. It didn't look like might. "Fraid I'm not all that photogenic...." he sighed. Others told him that before and he had to agree. He didn't even smile for his school pictures so long ago. He looked away, not wanting to see his stern face any longer. "Rolls got twenty-four on it. Just took the two so far."

Vampyre Ninja 05-07-2015 08:04 PM

"I think it looks good." Tino reassured him. He really did. Even if it would have been nice if Berwald smiled, it was a good picture. Besides, Lukas hardly ever smiled too so most pictures he had of him were like this. "Only two?! That won't do! We should fix that when we go get drinks tonight."

Kat Dakuu 05-07-2015 08:51 PM

Berwald looked at Tino dubiously, but didn't argue. It must have been good enough of a picture. He eyed the camera in his bag. "Ya think so?" Nothing all the camera worthy happened while drinking, or at least, the sort of moments he wanted to document. Lord knew what sort of pictures he'd end up with if Mathias got ahold of his camera. But if Tino said so, he would try and he nodded his head to accent that. "Don't know what to take that many pictures of though."

Vampyre Ninja 05-07-2015 09:07 PM

"You can take pictures of anything you want. I take a lot if I see something nice." Tino told him. He didn't want to mention the huge amount of photos he had that he had taken of just about anything that had caught his eye. It wasn't his fault though. He had been aspiring to be a photographer at that time. But changed his mind before entering college and never regretted it. It was still a nice hobby though.

Kat Dakuu 05-07-2015 09:15 PM

"Maybe ya should take pictures for me then..." Berwald hummed. He'd never been the sort to just point and shoot. He needed to want to keep the memory or the object he took a picture of and keep it as long as a photo lasted. But if he said how special photos were to him, he'd have to say that Tino was and he wasn't ready for that. Berwald ducked his head, trying to keep from showing those emotions.

Vampyre Ninja 05-07-2015 09:31 PM

"I can do that~ I'll make sure that they are special for you." Tino told him. He wasn't going to take a picture of just anything like he would do for himself. Berwald deserved better photos than that. So he would make sure not to just snap pictures of random things like he was prone to do. Especially if he was drunk. You really shouldn't give him a camera when he's drunk or you'll probably end up with photos of the toilet or something.

Kat Dakuu 05-07-2015 09:36 PM

Berwald glanced up, his happiness showing on his face and maybe just a little awe. Because how could Tino understand so well? "...thanks." He'd be sure to give the shorter man his camera when they went drinking later because he trusted him with it. "Don't get how ya understand me," he added at a low murmur, almost hoping Tino wouldn't hear.

Vampyre Ninja 05-07-2015 09:51 PM

"I'm very good at reading people." Tino told him in response. It was true, most of the time. The only people he's ever had a hard time reading was the people he was dating. If he could from the beginning, he wouldn't have gone out with most of them. But, he didn't have that problem with Berwald. Despite his lack of facial expression, he was pretty easy to read.

Kat Dakuu 05-07-2015 10:01 PM

It baffled Berwald. No one ever understood him this well, his words or his emotions. "Really?" He almost didn't want to believe it. He shrugged one shoulder, trying to make it look like not a big deal. "Always knew I was hard to get. Don't try. Just am," he sighed. "Too much time up north, I guess." That didn't make much sense, but other told that to him as an excuse. He was like ice because he belonged to ice and mountains.

Vampyre Ninja 05-07-2015 10:23 PM

"Some people are just like that." Tino told him. "But I find that if you take the time, you could learn to read anybody. No matter how hard they are to read at first." And he definitely wanted to take the time to learn all he could about Berwald. At that moment, their waitress came over. "Can I get you guys anything else?" she asked, a smile on her face.

Kat Dakuu 05-07-2015 10:48 PM

Berwald opened his mouth, about to say something too honest and embarrassing. The waitress came up right then and he closedc his mouth, relieved that he stopped himself in time. "'M fine," he mumbled. "You?" He looked over at Tino in question. Since they were going to drink that night, he felt like he didn't need to sit around testing and drinking coffee all day.

Vampyre Ninja 05-07-2015 10:57 PM

"I'm fine. Check please." Tino told her. She nodded and gathered up their dirty dishes and walking away. She returned a few minutes later and handed him the piece of paper. "Here you go. You'll have to either go in and pay or I can take it." she told them. Tino pulled out some money and handed it to her. She counted it quickly and nodded before heading back in with a quick 'have a great afternoon.'

Kat Dakuu 05-07-2015 11:23 PM

"Yer paying for it all?" Berwald asked after the waitress left with the money. It didn't much seem fair, but they never asked for separate checks at the start. He shifted to pull his wallet out of his back pocket. "I should pay for some..." But he didn't even see what the check was worth since Tino was the chatty one to deal with the waitress.

Vampyre Ninja 05-07-2015 11:26 PM

"I insist on paying. It was my idea to eat here, after all. I don't mind." Tino told him. "If you want to pay for something, you could buy the first round of drinks tonight." he added. He wasn't really going to make Berwald pay for drinks. It just felt like something he should say in this type of situation. He stood and stretched before grabbing Hana's leash. "So what do you want to do now?" he asked.

Kat Dakuu 05-07-2015 11:35 PM

Berwald sighed, but he didn't have much choice but to agree. "If ya insist." It did make him feel better that he could buy the first round of drinks and he had full intention to do so. It never felt right to let someone pay for his things, like he owed them a favor then. Slipping out of his chair, he bent down to pat Hana before looking around as if that might give him ideas. "Dunno. Didn't plan this far."

Vampyre Ninja 05-07-2015 11:49 PM

"Me neither." Tino stated, laughing slightly. He thought for a moment. "Do you want to just take a walk?" he asked. That would be nice, right? It would give them the chance to just enjoy being in each other's company. Something a few boyfriends in the past didn't really enjoy with him. He was so glad when those relationships ended. Because now he was with a great guy who was ten times better than all the ones in the past.

Kat Dakuu 05-07-2015 11:55 PM

Berwald nodded his head. He felt like it was a good time for their date to end while everything was still perfect, but he also didn't want to leave Tino's presence. Trying to make both those thoughts work, he headed in the vague direction of home, but kept his pace at an amble, not wanting to seem in a hurry because he wasn't even if his legs tended to move fast. "This city is best fer walking. No fun to drive in. I wish I could always walk like this," he said, glancing over at Tino as he said so.

Vampyre Ninja 05-08-2015 12:25 AM

Tino followed after him, Hana trotted along, her little tail wagging. "I agree. I normally walk whenever I can. I have a car, but I only use it if the weather is bad or I need to go out of the city." He told him. He was silent for a moment. "It's so peaceful today." He commented, looking around with a small smile on his face.

Kat Dakuu 05-08-2015 12:29 AM

Berwald hummed again, just enjoying the soft breeze that filtered through the trees, leaving soft sounds in its wake. "Never liked big cities like this much, but it's easier to live here sometimes. At least ya can walk or take a bus or subway anywhere." There were benefits of course. He could never truly say he hated his home when their were good parks and even better people.

Vampyre Ninja 05-08-2015 12:35 AM

"That's true. Plus you can meet all sorts of people." Tino said. The people in this country were definitely different than back in Finland. Never to say that was a bad thing. It was just a huge shock when he first came here, all those years ago. But his still felt it was nice to meet new people.

Kat Dakuu 05-08-2015 12:56 AM

Berwald had been in America most of his life, but the northern lands were in his blood, even if he didn't remember Sweden enough to miss it specifically. He just had small fragments of his childhood, cold but happy. "Americans like to talk to strangers," he observed. It was different in other countries. No one would smile to those they passed on the side of the street and that suited Berwald better. "Don't tend to meet people that way though."
