Pokémon: Yin and Yang [Mira-Charma13 and Immy]

The normally vibrant blue sky was blanketed with thick, puffy gray clouds, and by the smell of things, it was very likely that rain would arrive in the next hour or so. The thick forest below was well-shielded from rain, with full trees creating a makeshift, but rather leaky, roof above its residents. A colony of Beedrill nested in the high reaches of an ancient oak tree. Two young Bunearys, both in their humanoid forms, crouched at the foot of this tree, babbling away about their troubles. A short distance away, an irate and elderly Zangoose and an equally irate but not quite as elderly Furret, both in their humanoid forms, were squabbling over territory. Further up in the trees, a mother Vivillon tucked her two small Scatterbugs into a hole in a tree trunk, shielding them from view as a massive Braviary flew overhead. They were a noisy bunch, these forest folk were. At least, that was the opinion of an outsider just passing through. The resident Pokémon knew instantly that he did not belong here...but he looked powerful, and they wisely gave him a wide berth. It was much easier to travel in his Pokémon form, which he took now. This Pokémon was tall and leggy, with long, sleek snow white fur (especially boundless and fluffy on the defined ruff on his chest). Three huge, razor-sharp onyx claws protruded from each foot. His tail was short and ended in a point, almost like a blade. The spike that jutted up from one side of his head was also dangerous-looking, almost like a sickle. His tail and the spike were the same onyx color as his claws...and his round face, which stood out amongst the stark white fur. A horrific jagged scar marred the left side of his face, starting near his brow and dragging all the way down below his left eye, toward his chin. Perhaps most striking of all were those bright blood red eyes. They shimmered like beautiful crimson rubies, sparkling in the faint sunlight that managed to breach the cloud barrier every now and again. This strange creature seemed awfully thin, as if he hadn't had a square meal in days. A handmade leather traveling bag was fastened securely against his back, but other than that...he carried nothing. Traveling light, maybe. He avoided the forest's inhabitants, ducking behind bushes and escaping into the thicket whenever they came too close or even stumbled upon him without meaning to. Only a couple of Pokémon recognized the species of this intruder, and they claimed he was a mountain-dweller. But what in the world was a mountain-dweller doing here, when the nearest tall mountains were miles and miles away? It was suspicious. |

Out of everything he was doing mistaken for stealing for something in the town he just came out of after protecting a younger Pokemon that did the deed. This was Karma, though he expected something better to come out of these results after helping another fellow Pokemon he didn't know, but that wasn't the case here. Now he was running in his Espeon form in order to avoid getting caught and attacked by the villager's Pokemon that was after him. Glancing back he took notice of a Jolteon who didn't seem to care that they were of the same evolution as it used thunder against him. Ignoring the feeling of it, Espe saw the others Growlithe tried using ember like it was told, and two beedrills trying to use "Sting" against him luckily he was able to dodge it. Running past several other pokemon who hid once they heard the startling sounds, Espe turned for a moment using psybeam to hopefully throw off their concentration though it wasn't very helpful, and it made them attack harder. Their human trainers were already out of sight unable to keep up with their pokemon. The four pokemon decided to attack at once, but try to wait a second apart from their attacks as Espe sped up as fast as he could go. Using his speed to go from left to right quickly so they couldn't attack him, though the beedrills noticed the pattern and both attacked on each side getting him to where he slid to a stop on the ground. "Beeeeee" Thunder rolled across the skies making the beedrills aware the rain would come soon meaning they would have to go back soon otherwise they wouldn't be able to get back home. Beedrills didn't do well in water or the rain since it would weigh down their wings making it unable for them to fly as well as move. Finally the humans caught up "Alright, Jolteon give it one last electric shock to knock it out, and then we'll take it back to the village" one of the female humans said as she had short, spiked, light blonde hair that almost made her look like a guy if it wasn't for the tight tank top she was wearing with the baggy shorts. There were only two humans as a guy with long red hair in a low ponytail must have been the owner for the Growlithe who was starting to stay more under the trees rather than the clearing they were in. Rain wouldn't hurt him, Espe knew this since he did a lot of traveling from town to town unable to stay out of trouble with helping others; Jolteon powered up more than expected because of the storm that was brewing in as lighting seemed to build the energy not only on the ground but in the sky. "Jooolteon" Jolteon said before attacking the unmoved Espeon who was already paralyzed by the beedrills stinger still in it's upper part of his paw. He couldn't even bring up his psychic shield he learned awhile back waiting for the painful feeling of the electricity to course through him. |
The violently clashing Pokémon and their gleefully-observing Trainers, still lingering behind, were far too engrossed in the task at hand to notice the sound of rock-hard claws digging into the loose earth. One of the humans might have noticed something out of the corner of his eye--he squinted hard at the thick brush all around them, sure that he saw something big and dark in his peripheral vision...but, upon finding nothing, he turned his attention back to the battling Jolteon and Espeon. A real Espeon, all for themselves! Now they wouldn't have to spend an outrageous amount of money to purchase an Eeeve, and (even better) they wouldn't have to waste time developing a real friendship with the thing simply to get it to evolve!
They should have been paying closer attention to their surroundings. If only they had...then things wouldn't have turned out so poorly for them. The wind began to pick up, swirling around them all ominously. It seemed to be picking up more speed than was natural, but again, no one took notice. A shame, really. That poor Jolteon never knew what hit it. One moment, he was shocking the life out of his poor, unfortunate psychic cousin... And then he was shrieking with horror, his legs forcibly ripped from the ground as a miniature tornado engulfed him. It threw him around like a rag doll, slamming him into tree trunks and branches before eventually depositing him with a sickening thud onto the ground. A soft whoosh-ing sound passed over the area...and all of a sudden, an intimidating beast stood before the downed Espeon, facing the human threat. It was the strange, unfamiliar mountain-dweller that the forest Pokémon had been speaking of as of late! Oh, and he certainly was intimidating, with his snowy white fur standing on end and those blood red eyes almost glowing with fury. The Jolteon was out cold. A one-hit knockout! The white-furred intruder took a menacing step toward the humans, a low, earthshaking growl spilling forth from his lips. He was not focused on their Beedrill, which were wisely backing away. No...he was fully prepared to attack the humans! They must have realized that something wasn't right about this weird-looking Pokémon, because they, like their Beedrill, also backed off a bit. But not before one of them whipped out a small red device, which folded over like a book but was only the size of a very small tablet. She flipped it open, aiming it straight at the odd Pokémon. It whirred on immediately. Ping! The screen lit up brilliantly. A slightly high-pitched man's voice spilled from the device. "Absol, the Disaster Pokémon!" It flashed a picture of the unusual-looking mountain-dweller. "Absol live in steep, icy, and treacherous mountainous regions, and rarely venture down into areas inhabited by humans. It is said that should an Absol be seen by humans, a great catastrophe is soon to follow. The mere sight of an Absol has been widely accepted as being a bad omen. They often appear before human beings when they detect the impending arrival of a natural disaster with their sensitive horns, but whether their forewarning appearance is a good or a bad sign has been debated by experts for many years. Absol are fairly uncommon Pokémon because they are rarely found anywhere but the highest peaks of the coldest mountains. They are also notoriously difficult to catch and not the most trusting of Pokémon...but make for unshakably loyal partners to any Trainer who can manage to tame them. A Dark-type Pokémon, Absol does not evolve by natural means...but those in possession of the rare gem Absolite and who have a deep bond with their Absol can temporarily Mega-Evolve their Absol into a Mega Absol." Another image flashed on the screen of an Absol...but this one seemed much more majestic than the last, with fluffier fur, a second (albeit smaller) horn, a longer tail, and, perhaps most impressive of all, huge white angelic wings. The temptation was certainly there--oh, yes. The trainers lingered despite the murderous look on the Absol's face. Finally, with great reluctance, they called the Jolteon back into his Poké Ball and hurried off just as the first droplets of rain pattered onto the ground, deeming the infuriated creature too powerful for them. |
The Espeon watched as the Jolteon was picked up and thrown around the open area of the forest. The rest of the pokemon stayed hidden until the humans disappeared the way they came to get away from the storms. Some of the pokemon came over to help Espe and check to see if he was okay. However, he wasn't too friendly with them as he quickly got up and jumped back a bit. Standing his ground the best he could, he could feel the pain subsiding and the numbness go away.
When they tried to get closer to him he got ready to use psybeam to use against them. Espeon glared it was because of one of their little one's that got away from the mother that this was all happening. The young pokemon earlier was the one to steal what he did and that resulted in Espeon making his move. So he wasn't happy with any of the other pokemon. Shaking his head as if to clear his thoughts or shake away the paralysis, Espe watched the others back away into the forest, and he waited while he laid back down. Getting up after a few moments he walked away from everyone finally being able to feel his muscles in his body lessen with tension. There was no point in staying around a bunch of others who would just whisper behind your back twisting rumors about you. So he decided going to the next town would probably be a better idea, however, walking in the rain wasn't a good idea considering it could make him sick. Staying in a tree until the rain let up, he caught up on some sleep since the rain was very calming to him. Espe was happy none of the others were coming near him so he could sleep longer un-bothered, but eventually the rain let up and he had to get moving. Jumping down from the tree as the ground he could feel was still wet from the rain under his soft paw like feet. (thats all I got sorry Mira-Charma13:) |
