Bruce sighed. "Can that talk wait until a little later? I'm not quite ready to face your father after what Gemini just did." He asked.

"How about we go back to your place so I can pick up my daughter." Gemini suggested.

"And deal with the boy as well." Lori lead the way to the car holding Brue's hand humming softly. When they got to the manor and they found Jason glaring across the table at Damien her chipper smile faded.

Rosemary was sitting in between the two, her homework in front of her though she was clearly too awkward to do it. She looked up at the adults entrance and looked relieved. "Hi uncle Bruce, hi auntie Lori. Did you two make up? Oh hi Mommy! I made a new...friend, I think." She said, gesturing to Damian.

Damien was leafing threw a photo album. "I won't say friend we did just meet." Jason's glare hardened and he glanced at Rose's homework determined to let the adults deal with it so he wouldn't strangle the kid. Lori took a deep breath "Not yet but we're working on it." she glanced at Bruce then looked to Damien with a brief arrange of emotions including a murderous one she smiled at Damien. "Welcome to the family." she blinked as he looked up. "What do you see in her father? Mother is clearly a better match I bet this girl can't even fight." Damien snorted and Lori's face fell.

Rosemary jumped up faster than even Gemini could. "That's not true! Auntie Lori is a great person, and really strong, and she's known uncle Bruce since they were little! She's the best person to be with him, no matter what!" She said, angrily poking at Damian's chest.

Gemini stepped in and pulled Rosemary away, giving the boy a cold look. "That's enough, Rose. Talia's brat is clearly not good enough to be your friend."

Bruce scowled. "Damian, that will be the last time you speak that way about Lori. She is trying to welcome you, despite the fact that you represent a betrayal for her. You will show respect for everyone here, or you will be punished. Am I understood?" He asked, his tone making it clear that he was dead serious.

"Well sorry for thinking my mom is better." Damien had turned a red color and his mouth was set. "Why don't you like mom? She's a great person and she loves us. Why can't I have a real family?" he stood and slammed the album closed glaring at Lori. "I don't need you to pretend I know you hate me. You both do. If I'm not wanted by my own father I'll leave and learn to fight on my own." he stormed off. Lori blinked then bite her lip "He's a complicated kid." she sighed. "Do you want to talk to him?"

Bruce sighed. "I should, but...how do I talk to someone like that? I don't know how to talk to kids, let alone a kid who's so much like me." He said.

"Well you have to try, if you hope to have any relationship with that boy. If you're not the good influence in his life, he'll end up just like his grandfather." Gemini said.

Bruce looked at Gemini sharply. How did she know who Damian's grandfather was? "Gemini, is there something you know that you're not telling me?" He asked.

Gemini rolled her eyes. "Only the exact same thing you decided not to tell me. I told you I'd figure out what you were hiding, and I did." She said. "Rosemary, why don't you take your homework and have Jason help you in the kitchen. We grown-ups have something important to talk about."

Jason took there homework and Rose's hand leading her to his room ignoring Damien who was sulking in the parlor. "How did you figure it out Gemini?" Lori asked taking Bruce's hand.

Gemini shrugged. "Once I realized Bruce was hiding something, it wasn't hard to figure out. I started to notice that Bruce would mysteriously disappear all the time, usually whenever the bat signal appeared. Then I started thinking about Batman himself and realized that there's only one person who can afford to be Batman. I've known for about three years. Why didn't you tell me? I know you told Lori as soon as you two started dating. That's just your nature." She said.

In the relative safety of Jason's room, Rosemary sat down to start her homework. "Jacey, do you think that Damian knows that Uncle Bruce is Batman? I know it's a secret and I'm not s'posed to know, and that's why Mommy sent us out of the room, but do you think Damian knows?"

"If Talia knows then you can bet that Damien knows...I hate to admit that I kind of feel bad for him." Jason sighed then glanced at her. "Your smart you know that?" he grinned. "Smarter then most kids your age and I'm not saying that as your big brother." he tickled her side.

"I didn't say because I promised to keep it a secret...I haven't told Bruce any secrets you told me in kindergarten. It's just the way I am as for Bruce well it's part because it's a risk having people know. I only know because he wanted to make sure I would stay no matter what...though having a child with another woman is pushing it." Lori glared at Bruce.

Rosemary giggled, trying to get away from the tickle attack. "Thanks, Jasey. I'm only smart because I have you to teach me, though." She said. "You know...Damian is kinda mean, but I think we should be nice to him. He needs friends to talk to."

Bruce flinched. "I never would have done that by choice. And I would have told you if I knew." He said apologetically. Then he turned to Gemini. "She's right, though. I wanted to keep you safe, especially after I learned what I did about Rosemary's father. I only told Lori because it would have ruined our relationship otherwise. I felt like it was only fair to warn her what she was getting into."

Gemini sighed and nodded. She saw the sense in what they were saying. "All right, I forgive you. And obviously, I promise to keep it a secret, just like I have for the past three years. Now, go talk to your boy." She said, shoving Bruce towards the living room. She smiled at his glare before closing the door on him.

"Your evil." Lori giggled then pulled her to a chair. "now plan with me." she chuckled evil and began to plan.

Damien glanced up at his father then looked away annoyed.

Jason sighed and stopped tickling her. "I'll try Rose but it will be hard with his attitude. I promise not to punch him to hard though." she chuckled and went back to there homework.

Gemini blinked. "Plan what?" She asked.
((No one ever told Gemini that Bruce proposed.))

Rosemary giggled and went back to her homework as well.

Bruce took a deep breath. "Damian...we should talk." He said.

"About what? The fat that you hate me? The fact I'll never be the person you want as a son?" Damien glared at his father. "You've seem to have decided you'll hate me. So what's to talk about?"

Lori blinked "Oh right...Bruce proposed to me. We're getting married." Lori held out her hand where her ring sat..

Bruce sighed, counting to ten in his head so he wouldn't yell. "I haven't decided anything yet, Damian. But you're not giving me much to work with. I understand that you want me to love your mother, but...I don't. I'm sorry, but Lorinda is the person I have always loved. And I don't hate you. Actually, I see a lot of myself in you...which is why I'm having trouble talking to you. He rubbed his forehead, trying to figure out what to say. "I want to give this a chance. You're my son...my only living relative. But you have to try, too. That means not being rude to the people I care about. They're genuinely trying to get to know you, even if you don't believe it. Can we both just try?"

Gemini squealed. "Oh my God! OH. MY. GOD. This is great! And that diamond is HUGE! Okay, let's plan a wedding that will break Bruce's credit card. You deserve it...and so does he." She added the last part in a sinister tone, indicating that she wasn't finished punishing Bruce for his infidelity.

Lori blushed at her friends enthusiasm. "Let's do this." she flipped threw a book and called a wedding planner scheduling to meet the woman in the morning. "I don't want the wedding to be all about me Bruce needs to have a place in deciding the colors, flowers, and cake. The dress is all me of course." she chuckled.

Damien remind silent thinking about what he said. "Alright let's give it a try.'' he smiled at his father and picked up his homework. "Starting know." he headed for Jason's room pausing in the doorway. Jason sensed someone watching them and looked up spotting Damien he blinked. "Don't just stand there come join us." Damien nodded and joined there study group.

Gemini nodded. "Right, absolutely. I'll help you with that, obviously. Just one request, though: can Rosemary be the flower girl? She'll probably never get to be one for me, and I know she'd just love it. Plus, I want to buy a ridiculously expensive dress for her." She said.

Bruce smiled. That had gone far better than he'd expected. He went to tell Lori about it and walked in on the tail end of Gemini's request. "Ridiculously expensive dress for who?" He asked.

Rosemary looked up and smiled when she saw Damian. "Hi! I don't suppose you have the answer to number seven?" She asked, pointing to her almost-done homework.

Damien blinked then studied the question. "Eight." He showed her his process. "Mom taught me this math so that I could..." He trailed off. "Never mind." He grimaced.

Lori glanced up at Bruce. "Rose." She answered his question. "And of course she can be. Jason's going to be the ring bearer...he won't like that." She giggled. "Our wedding planner is coming tomorrow so lets get some preliminary stuff done."

Rosemary pouted, thinking about how she would feel in Damian's situation. "No, it's okay, you can tell us if you want. I want to learn more about you, so we can be friends." She said.

Bruce chuckled. "I had a feeling you'd make this a huge affair. So you want Rose to be flower girl? I think that would be cute." He said, sitting down at the table with them.

Gemini clapped. "Yay! Rose will be so happy! Okay, so let's talk colors. You should know what colors and theme you want before you meet the planner. It will make things easier. I know it's not my decision, but I'd like to suggest a lavender color and maybe blue or white."

"What do you think love?" Lori squeezed Bruce's hand. "My hair goes with most colors. however you dark hair makes it harder." she mused. "Though I do like the thought of you in blue."she grinned a little.

"No it's fine I don't want to be a show up." Damien went back to his homework blushing a little.

Bruce shrugged."I'm okay with blue, I guess." He said.

Gemini shook her head. "The color scheme doesn't apply to what you guys wear. You pick colors to decorate with, and the bridesmaids wear a color chosen by the bride. The groom and groomsmen all wear tuxedos, and the bride usually wears a gorgeous white dress, though it doesn't have to be white. That's just an old-fashioned symbol that the bride's a virgin." She explained.

Rosemary shrugged. "Okay. But if you ever do want to tell me, I'm willing to listen. If you don't mind hearing about me, too, that is." She teased.

"Girls are weird." Damien grumbled making Jason snort. "They are but you get use to them." Damien frowned.

"You are no help Bruce." Lori groaned. "Pick a color." She sighed. "I pick blue, and gold." She glanced at him. "Your turn." she was trying to ignore her friends virgin comment since she was one.

Rosemary pouted. She was only trying to be nice, and they called her weird.

Bruce thought for a moment. "I pick dark blue and silver." He said.

Gemini smirked but said nothing.

"Silver it is." Lori grinned at Bruce. "Know for floors I was thinking lillies." She wrote it down
"As for a date I want it to be as soon as possible. " she paused. "What cake flavor...I really hope there's a place with sugar free cakes." She sighed.

"Lillies are a good choice, much less cliche than roses. I agree about the date, maybe within the month. As for cake, we should do half and half so that everyone can have some." He said. "I don't know what to do about the sugar-free part."

Gemini raised her hand, excited. "Ooh, ooh, I can do it! I'll make the cake! I'm a great baker, and I've learned how to make sugar-free everything because I've been friends with Lori so long. I won't even charge you for it, either." She said.
