Talia glared at Gemini then glanced at Rosemary. "Your right child I'll just take Lori and go." Lori gasped and gripped Bruce's arm she closed her eyes as Talia came towards her opening them when she heard a grunt from Talia. Damien was standing in front of her while Talia gripped her stomach as if the child had punched her. "You will regret that child." She growled smirking when a group of her men emerged from the hallway. Lori paled and hide behind Bruce as Jason joined Damien glaring at Talia.

Bruce automatically put Lori behind him, keeping one hand on her arm to make sure she didn't get away from him. "You're making a mistake, Talia. This is your last chance to leave." He warned. Talia and Ra's were nothing to sneeze at, but even with their minions they were outclassed here. With him, Damian, Jason, Gemini, Ivy and Selena all ready to fight, the outcome seemed obvious.

Gemini also moved to protect Lori, eyes flashing. True, she wasn't a hero or villain, but she was perfectly capable of fighting. More capable than most, even. "You're not going to win this one, Talia."

Suddenly more angry than scared, Rosemary stepped up and joined Jason and Damian, forming a line. She hid it from everyone, but she often secretly watched Jason's training sessions, and she could fight almost as well as him now. "No one's gonna let you take auntie Lori!" She declared.

Lori stayed behind Bruce smiling a little at the surprised look on Talia's face. "Well seems I'm out matched." She glanced at Pam and Ivy who stood behind Lori glaring at her. "Come Damien." She looked to her son. "Surely you want to join your mother." Damien's jaw set. "Fine but you will be treated like them." She signaled to her men. "The girl is mine. Do what you want with the others." She pulled her sword smirking at them only to stop short when Ra's put a hand on her shoulder. "That's enough my daughter you have lost." She glared then growled. "You better watch your back girl." She looked at Damien before backhanding him. "Never disobey me again." She marched off without looking back. Lori let out the breath she had been holding. "Are you alright Damien?" She asked emerging from behind Bruce to examine his cheek. "Fine." Damien looked away not wanting her to see how upset he was. "I didn't tell her." Lori smiled and hugged him tightly. "I know you didn't." She looked at the mess that had been made. "Well...I think crying is in order." Pam shook her head "we can fix it." She gestured to Selina and Gemini.

Gemini nodded. "Yeah, this is nothing for a single mother." She said, already starting to clean up.

Relieved, Rosemary turned and hugged Damian. "I'm sorry that happened. Thank you..." She said.

Bruce went and took Lori's hand. "I think we'll just edit that part out of the wedding tape. Are you okay?" He asked.

"Yeah." Lori sounded a little sad. "I'm just glad everyone's OK." She leaned against him enjoying the moment while the girls cleaned. "Done." Pam grinned. "Bruce..." Lori pulled away to look him in the eye. "Your sure this is what you want."

Damien blinked then gave Rose a quick hug before pulling away a slight blush on his face as he sat back down.

Bruce blinked. "What? Of course this is what I want, Lori. If I didn't want this, I wouldn't be fighting so hard for it. I love you...so much that I can't live without you. I'm prepared to do anything in the world to prove it."

Coming closer, Gemini smiled. It was great to hear that her friends had so much love in their lives.

Also blushing slightly, Rosemary sat back down.

Lori smiled and hugged him tightly still feeling insecure but he always made her feel better. "Let's get this over with before something else happens." Selina stepped back from the priest who had gone into shock. "All set." She smiled and the priest began to stumble threw the ceremony. While it wasn't perfect the happy look on Bruce's face was enough to make things right. "I now pronounce you man and wife." The priest smiled. "You may kiss the bride." Lori blushed feeling her heart flutter in anticipation.

By the time the ceremony drew to a close, Bruce was anxious to get to the kissing part. As soon as he was given permission, he stepped forward and drew Lori close to him, kissing her deeply.

Gemini dabbed tears from her eyes, smiling.

Rosemary made a face at the kiss. About a minute later, when the kiss hadn't ended yet, she spoke up. "Get a room!" She called, making people laugh at the innocence of the girl who didn't know what she had just said.

Lori who had been missing Bruce back clinging to his shirt to keep from melting on to the floor broke away with a bright blush when Rose spoke up. "Maybe we should." She smiled at him breathless. "But everyone did come to see use dance and eat cake. We can get a room after." She smirked.

Bruce smiled back at her. "That was the plan all along." He said devilishly.

Giggling, Gemini raised her hand up. "Party time!!"

"I love parties!" Rosemary said excitedly.

Lori blushed and kicked him gentle. "Perv." She grumbled a smirk on her face. "Yeah party." She rolled her eyes at Gemini but let the girls lead them away. When the stepped onto the dance floor the lights dimmed as a slow song drifted from the DJ's system. She took Bruce's hand pulling her dress up with her free one. "Dance with me?"

Bruce took Lori's hand and bowed to her. "It would be my pleasure." He said, leading her out onto the dance floor.

After the party and one sugar free cake Lori yawned slightly. "I'm pooped she glanced at Damien and Jason. " You boys ready to go home?" They both nodded looking bored.

Rosemary, who had been trying almost the whole time to make the boys dance with her, pouted. "You get away this time, but someday I'll make you dance with me." She told them.

Gemini approached with a little smile. "Come on now, Rose. It's late." She said, taking her daughter's hand.

Bruce came up behind Lori and hugged her. "Are we ready to go?" He asked.

Lori blushed and leaned back against him. "Ready when you are." She smiled melting into his warmth pretty sure she would now be unable to walk with out help.

"Excellent." Bruce said, scooping Lori up into his arms. "We'll need to get plenty of sleep. We leave for the honeymoon in the morning."

Gemini grinned. "So where are you two going?" She asked.

"Paris." Bruce answered, then glanced at Lori. "If that's alright with you."

"Ooh, the city of love~" Gemini sighed dreamily.

Rosemary made a gagging sound. "Gross! Can we just go home now?" She asked.

Lori's eyes got all big and sparkly. "Of course that's all right." She grinned and kissed him. Jason laughed and watched Damien make a face as they climbed into the limo.

Bruce chuckled as well and carried his new wife to the limo, placing her inside gently before getting in himself.

Gemini picked up Rosemary, who was suddenly yawning, and headed for her car.

They boys where silent for a change till Damien looked over. "I didn't tell mom about the wedding."

Bruce looked up sharply. He hadn't been expecting that. "I know you didn't, Damian. No one blames you." He reassured the boy. "And...I would like to thank you...for standing up for Lori today. You had to make a difficult choice, and I am sorry for that...but I'm proud that you were able to make your own decision."

Damien smiled a little then sighed. "She hates me know I know it." He looked sad. "Oh Damien...you don't need a mom like that. I'll be your mom." Lori pulled the boy into a hug. He blinked then hugged back crying softly into her shoulder.

Bruce, not knowing what else to do, reached over and patted his son's back.

Damien fell asleep in Lori's arms having cried himself out. "Poor kid." Lori sighed carefully shifting as they got to the manor. "There's no way I can carry him." She chuckled.

Bruce smiled slightly. "I'll carry him in. But you have to wait here, so I can carry you in, too." He said. For some reason, he wanted to follow the old tradition of carrying his wife across the threshold.

"I'm perfectly capable." Lori blushed and went to get out but Jason held here there. "Oh no it's tradition." He grinned as she sighed. "Gemini got to you didn't she?"
