"Well...even if they don't, you can always stay with us. My mom wouldn't mind. As long as you don't mind a sofa bed." Rosemary offered.
Bruce held her closer, letting her cry. He rubbed her back gently. "It's alright. You're okay now. I'm so sorry..." |
"I'll ask them...once they've had a moment." Jason noticed Lori's shoulders shaking. "On second thought I'll take that offer."
Lori shook her head. "There's nothing to be sorry about nine of this is your fault." |
"I wasn't here to protect you. I failed at protecting a lot of people, which is how we ended up in this mess." Bruce said. "Anyway, I'll always apologize when you get hurt. You should be mad at me." He told her. "Even with your life on the line, I couldn't do what needed to be done. I didn't choose you, even though I promised I would."
Rosemary nodded. "Yeah...they're gonna need some time." She said, quietly leaving the manor so she didn't bother the couple. |
Jason followed her leaving a note telling them where he had gone.
"I could never be mad at you for choosing to protect what you believe even." Lori smiled up at him. "Besides even if he had let Joker attack me I still wouldn't be mad. I love you way to much for that." |
"Lori...you're amazing, you know that?" Bruce said. "I really don't deserve someone like you."
|
"No you really don't." Lori teased. "But your stuck with me now. Your my knight in black armor." She kissed him gentle.
|
"I'm okay with that." Bruce said, kissing her back. After a while, he pulled away. "Everyone seems to have left, and Martha's napping. We have a bit of alone time. Do you want to watch a movie?"
|
"A movie sounds nice." Lori went to make popcorn. "You know what I like to watch."
|
"Right." Bruce answered, going to pick a movie out of the collection. He had never watched movies much before marrying Lori, but he rather enjoyed it now that she was always there to watch with him.
|
Lori plopped down next to him with popcorn in hand and put up her feet. "All set." she waited for him to sit.
|
Bruce sat down next to her, smiling a little. He put an arm around her and started the movie with his other hand.
|
((Time skip?))
|
((Sure.))
|
((To what though?))
|
((Uh...uh...um...not a clue.))
|
((I'm stumped as well. Maybe to Rose confessing to Damien that she likes he or the other way around?))
|
((Uh...yeah, that works. We'll skip to them at about...fourteen? Ooh, Wolfie has an idea for plot! We'll start tomorrow.))
|
((Yay plot.))
Martha giggled around after Ace while Lori watched. "How did my baby girl get to be two?" She asked with a soft sigh. "The same way I'm fourteen." Damien smirked as Lori groaned. He had grown into a mini version of Bruce except for his eye's which where green like his mother. |
"I'm fourteen, too." Rosemary said as she walked in. She mostly came and went as she pleased these days. "Why are we stating our ages?" Like Damian, she had grown into a copy of her mother. The biggest differences were her hair, which was lighter, and her height. At fourteen she was already taller than poor Gemini, who was still a shrimp.
"No real reason, we're just wondering how time passed so quickly." Bruce answered, taking a sip of his coffee. He actually had to work that day, and he was stalling for as long as possible. |
"I'm nearly twenty." Jason reminded Lori who pouted and sunk into the couch.
"I'm so old." Lori whined glaring up at the ceiling. |
Bruce sat next to Lori and put an arm around her. "C'mon, you're not old at all." He said. "Martha's still little. Once she turns twenty, then we can feel old. Until then, we're young parents."
"My mom's a young mother." Rosemary pointed out the obvious just because she felt like it. |
"I guess so." Lori smiled softly hugging Bruce and Rose. "You two always make me feel better." "Me too mama." Martha wiggled her way into the hug. "Yes you too baby girl." Lori chuckled kissing the girls forehead."
|
Bruce ruffled his daughter's hair. "Yes, of course you too. You make everyone feel better." He told the girl.
"That's true. If I ever have kids, I want them to be like Martha." Rosemary piped up confidently. |
Damien blinked. "Why do girls always want kids?" he asked not getting the appeal at all.
Lori shrugged "guess it's just nature. Besides kids are best and there the best of you and the love of your life." she kissed Bruce lightly. |
Rosemary put her hands on her hips. "I never said I wanted kids. I only said that if I have them, I'd want them to be like Martha. I'm too young to even think about having kids yet." Too young, and too focused on her extracurricular activities.
Bruce rolled his eyes. "And once again both of them miss the point completely." He said teasingly. "You'll understand it someday." |
