Lori chuckled a little. "They understand all to well someday." she squeezed his hand. "Momma?" Martha tugged her shirt. "Yes baby girl?" Lori smiled at her. "Can I have a sibling?" Martha pouted as Lori turned a pink color.
Damien laughed at the look on Lori's face. "Come on Rose lets go." he lead the way to the training room. |
Rosemary covered her mouth, stifling her giggle at the question. She followed Damian, glad to get out of the room before the conversation continued.
Bruce was a similar color to Lori, having not expected the question. "Well, Martha, we'll have to talk about that with the stork. It's an important decision." He said. |
Martha nodded and hurried off singing softly.
"Will uh...that happened." Lori blushed more and looked to Bruce. "what do you think?" |
Bruce took Lori's hand. "I think...I wouldn't mind having one more. But only if that's what you want." He said.
"I would love to have a baby boy...not that I don't love Damien but I want a baby boy of my own." Lori nodded squeezing his hand gentle.
Bruce nodded. "I agree." He said, kissing her hand. "Then it's settled. We'll give Martha a full-blooded sibling."
Lori smirked a little. "Would you like to start trying know or wait till the bed time?"
This startled a chuckle out of Bruce. "We should probably wait, just because Martha is still wandering around." He said.
"OK." Lori grinned ad slipped away to find something to do.
Damien trained with Rose and paused to take a breath. "Your so much better at this then when you started." |
Rosemary smirked. She was barely winded. "Well, it has been a while. And I've had some great teachers." She said. "So listen, I wanted to talk to you about something."
"Shoot." Damien tossed her a bottle of water a smile on his face.
Rosemary caught the bottle and took a long gulp before talking. "Okay. Don't freak out, alright? There's this guy at school that I've had my eye on for a while, and last week he asked me out. I said yes, and our first date is tonight, but I'm kinda nervous." She put the water bottle down. "So I need some advice. What should I expect, and what should I do? If he tries to kiss me, is it okay to hit him?"
Damien dropped the water bottle in surprise and stared at her. "You...can leave we are done training. I've taught you all I know there's no reason for us to train together anymore." he vanished from the room heading for his room.
Rosemary's ever-present smile vanished. "Damian? Wait, what the heck?!" She called after him. She was completely dumbfounded. Why had he changed the subject to suddenly? And why would he stop their training, when she only knew half of what he did? Why wouldn't he be happy that she had a boyfriend? She had really been hoping for his approval. Feeling disappointed, she wandered off to find Jason. Maybe he could answer some questions.
Damien destroyed him room leaving it in a mess when he slipped out into the night alone something he never did anymore.
Jason was hanging out in his room throwing daggers at the wall because he was bored. |
Rosemary knocked before entering- something she always made sure to do after her mother had given her "the talk." "Jacey?" She said as she came in. "Something happened. I don't even know what happened, but something did." She was on the verge of tears.
"What's wrong Rosey? Who do I need to beat up?" Jason sat up frowning at her.
Rosemary shook her head. "No, you don't need to..." She sniffled. "I was just training with Damian, and I told him about this guy, and..." She recounted exactly what had happened. "It's like he was mad about something, but I don't know what I did wrong."
Jason blinked and then laughed softly. "Oh no I'm not stepping into this mine field." he held up his hands. "If I explain he'll murder me."
Rosemary looked like someone had just kicked her puppy. "I don't...understand. If I did something to upset him, I want to know what it is so I can fix it! Otherwise...it's just not fair that he walked out on me like that! What am I supposed to do if my best friend won't talk to me?"
"Rose you know I would normally tell you. You know that however Damien is a growing boy who kind of freaks me out when he's mad...ask Lori she'll tell you." Jason sighed softly.
Knowing she wasn't going to get anything more out of Jason, Rosemary nodded. "Alright. I'll have to wait, though...Auntie Lori and Uncle Bruce are "talking to the stork."" She said, using air quotes. "In the meantime, I have a date tonight. Wish me luck!"
"Rose..." Jason shook his head. "Just talk to Lori first." His door was open and at that moment Lori passed by pausing. "What about me?" she smiled at them. "Damien got mad at Rose because she has a date." Jason explained. "Oh well that's because he wants her to be his girlfriend of course." Lori shrugged.
Rosemary stopped cold, staring at her aunt. "W-what?" She asked. "You're kidding, right? Damian doesn't like me that way. He's like...my best friend." She smiled nervously, almost expecting for someone to say 'gotcha!'
"No it's true." Lori chuckled. "He's had a crush on you for a little while know but he hasn't gotten up the courage to tell you mostly because he thought it would ruin your friendship if you didn't like him back."
