Batman blinked, then nodded. "If I had to guess, I'd say Gemini's gone into labor, and Lori is driving her to the hospital." He said with a sigh. "We'll need to swing by later and make sure the hospital is secure."

Gemini was taken by the nurses as soon as they walked into the hospital, and wheeled away to the delivery room. Screaming could be heard even through the doors for over eight hours, and then there was an ominous silence. A flurry of doctors ran past Lori into the delivery room, and chaos ensued. After a good hour of this, things settled down and a tiny cry was heard. A nurse came out and looked for Lori. "Lorinda? Your friend wants to see you."

Lori hurried inside. "Are you OK?" She took her friends hand. "How's the baby? I was worried sick don't ever do this again." She pouted.

"Yeah...can I ask her for driving lessons?" Robin asked standing back up smirking a little. "It looks like fun."

"Absolutely not." Batman said, moving back towards the alleyway. He started climbing the fire escape to get to the rooftop, where he would do a bit of surveillance before heading back to the cave.

Gemini looked exhausted. "There were complications...they almost lost the baby, but she's okay now. They're about to bring her in. And trust me, I'm never doing this again." She said, just as another nurse brought the baby in and placed her in Gemini's arms. "Oh...she's perfect. It's nice to finally meet you, little one."

"So cute! I'm going to spoil you rotten!" Lori smiled at the baby. "What are you going to name her? Is it OK if she calls me aunty?"

Robin chuckled and followed him. "Not like she would agree till I was old enough to drive anyways...although you never know with her."

Gemini smiled brightly. "Her name is Rosemary, and of course that's okay. Actually, I wanted to ask you something important. Lori, would you be Rosemary's godmother?"

Batman grunted. "It is hard to tell with her..." He said with a sigh. "If Lori does teach you, you're not driving my car. Let's go."

"Of course I will be! One of us has to be the bad influence." Lori laughed and then shifted. "Can I try holding her?" she glanced at the baby nervously.

"Deal." Robin smiled. "So...how's it going between the two of you? There's a charity event soon maybe you could take her out instead of watching movies in the manor." he smirked a little.

Gemini nodded. "Sure, here. Hold her like this, and support her head." She said, handing the baby over. Rosemary cooed and made happy baby sounds. "She likes you."

Batman raised an eyebrow. "Not that it's any of your business, but I was planning on asking her tonight." He said, leaping down to where the Batmobile was parked.

"I was just curios is all...you two are so ackward it's cute." Robin smirked more chuckling as he dropped next to Batman sliding into the batmobile.

Lori cradled the baby smiling nervously. "I'm glad she likes me. Is it strange to be scared of a little baby?" she chuckled. "when I'm not scared of some of the bad guys in this city."

Batman was glad at that moment for the mask that covered his blush. "Gee, thanks. Nice to know." He said before revving the engine and gunning it back to the cave.

Gemini chuckled. "It's okay to be nervous. I'm pretty scared, myself, to be honest. I have to be mother and father both to this child...it's terrifying." She admitted.

"I'll help as much as I can!" Lori nodded. "My little godchild while not go without." She passed the baby back. "I'll let you feed her and rest I'll be staying with you the first nights." She yawned. "Better get my beauty sleep know." She kissed the babies forehead. "Goodnight little one. Goodnight Gemmy." She walked off planning to get home before she fell asleep.

Robin hopped out when they got to the cave. "That wasn't to bad. I can't wait for the Joker that should be fun." He got changed. "Do you need my help with anything else?" Jason asked smiling at him.

Gemini smiled tiredly. "Thank you, Lori. You're the best. I'll see you in the morning." She said, waving as her friend left. The nurse came in after that to show Gemini how to breast feed, and once Rosemary was fed they both went to sleep.

Batman pulled his mask off, shaking his head. "I'm not sure if it's good or bad that you're so ambitious." He said with a sigh. "No, I'll be fine from here. But I'll be going to visit Gemini in the morning, so if you want to come then be up early."

Jason nodded and hung his suit up before crashing on the couch easily falling asleep there.

By some miracle Lori made it home and to her bed before falling asleep.

Gemini woke the next morning to the uncanny feeling that her baby was crying. As she sat up to find out, a nurse bustled in with a fussing Rosemary. Gemini took the baby with a smile and started feeding her.

Bruce woke to his alarm easily, used to early mornings by now. Not that he liked them- in fact, he hated mornings with a passion these days, but he dealt with it. After turning the alarm off, he went to get dressed.

As soon as Bruce was done a blond flash struck him in the side. "Morning!" Lori grinned hugging him tighter.

Jason woke with a groan and stumbled downstairs yelling as Lori flew by him. "Jeez." He shook his head and went on his way. "If I need to wake up I can rely on Lori."

Bruce grunted in surprise. "Good morning. Impeccable timing, as always." He said, regaining his breath. "So are you going to visit the new mother? I'm on my way there now."

Gemini finished feeding Rosemary and burped her, and then got to spend some time just holding the baby.

"Of course. I came to collect you and Jason so we could all go together but first breakfast." Lori vanished downstairs joining Jason who just smiled.

Bruce chuckled and went down the stairs to join everyone for breakfast. "How do you move so quickly in the morning?" He asked Lori with a smile.

"Sugar." Lori nodded. "It's my secret for going faster and staying awake longer." She grinned finishing her waffles in a few bites.

"Your amazing." Jason grinned very impressed by Lori finishing his waffles as well.

Bruce sat down, shaking his head, and started eating quickly. "What happens when you hit a sugar low?" He asked as he finished.

"You do not want to see that mess." Lori chuckled. "I'm usually like that in the morning or at night when I'm getting ready for bed."

"Well alright, then. I'll make a note to only see you during the day from now on." Bruce joked. "Now, how about we get going?" He suggested, standing up. He had something he wanted to talk to Gemini about, anyway.

"Sure...go run and get dressed Jason." Lori stood and took Bruce's hand in hers. "Yes ma'am." Jason smiled and went to change. "Ready." He found Lori examing the car keys. "Which one do you think Jason?" She smiled at him. "The lamborghini." Jason grabbed the key and handed it to Bruce. "Excellent choice." Lori chuckled.

Bruce took the key with a smirk. "Just in case us showing up at the hospital wasn't noticeable enough, right?" He teased, getting into the car and starting it up.

"Of course I want people to notice I'm with you. I can mark my territory if I want." Lori shrugged as she slid into the car. Jason grimaced and shook his head "TMI thank you." "Sorry." Lori blushed.

Bruce rolled his eyes and gunned the engine, making sure both passengers were buckled in before driving to the hospital. He was excited to see the baby- he'd never admit it, but he had a soft spot for children- so he drove at a speed that Lori would have been proud of. They got there in record time.
