The Silver Millennium

The Silver Millennium was a peaceful Kingdom located at the Sea of Serenity on the Moon, inhabited by a royal family and their subjects who were blessed with a longer lifespan than those on Earth. Tasked with the mission to help the people of Earth progress and prosper, the royal family took their duties seriously and welcomed the royal family of Earth and their subjects with open arms. The Queen of the Silver Millennium was named Serenity, as was her young daughter who followed in her footsteps. The young Princess of the Moon was protected by her inner guardians, each a princess by their own right of their planet: Princess Amy, of Mercury; Princess Rei, of Mars; Princess Lita, of Jupiter; and Princess Mina, of Venus. These young guardians were tasked with protecting their princess and guiding her through life as she learned the ways of court and her duties as future Queen of the Silver Millennium.

Though they were her guardians, they were the truest of friends that followed the young princess wherever her heart took her. Soon, her heart took her to Elysion, the Golden Kingdom of Earth, where the Earth's royal family resided. Within this Kingdom, lived a young Prince named Endymion with his guardians Jadeite, Zoisite, Nephrite, and Kunzite. Each chosen for different reasons, they were both comrades and guardians to the Prince of Elysion, and they did all in their power to protect him from harm. What neither the Guardians of Earth nor the Guardians of the Moon could anticipate, was the development of love between the young Prince and Princess. Torn between the Kingdom they love, and the heart they wished to follow, it was no surprise when their love created turmoil for their respective Kingdoms. This turmoil within Elysion gave Queen Metalia, a demon of the Sun, a chance to fill Earth with Darkness and strike at the Silver Millennium, bringing Chaos to light.

This is the story that has never been told: the story of a Prince from Elysion and a Princess from the Silver Millennium who faced their Kingdoms and stayed true to their hearts, and the love they had for one another, until the very end.

As Prince Endymion stood in front of the crowd, his back was rigid and he tried desperately to hide all of his emotions: fear, excitement, and curiosity. He had never been so far away from home, and just the idea of being on the moon rather than Earth was simply terrifying. He was also surrounded by the people of the moon. Many of the King and Queen's subjects had gathered to help welcome the prince of Earth and his family.

"Welcome everyone, I am very pleased that you could join us for this joyous moment for our kingdom. Let me show you to the castle." His mother stepped ahead first, talking to the escort. Next stepped Endymion and his knight: Kunzite. Leading the back was Endymion's father.

As they started moving again, Endymion allowed himself to finally look around. They had been walking through a garden. It had many normal garden features such as fountains, ornate plants, pillars, and various raised garden beds. It also had many unique features to it: shrubbery with glowing flowers that looked similar to lilies, the stone everything was made of had subtle flecks of other pastel colors, even the leaves of the plants appeared different, though he never got close enough to check.

His mother had stopped walking and gasped. Endymion moved around her and looked straight ahead to see what had surprised her, it could've been nothing else but the Moon Kingdom's castle. In front was a huge fountain, which set a beautiful reflection of the castle. The spires of this castle looked rounded, almost like some he had seen in desert countries. Though the main castle looked similar to what he had seen in other northern countries. Whoever had crafted the castle, it almost seemed like they gotten their inspiration from Earth... Though he had a feeling this kingdom could've been around longer than that.

Their escort gave them a moment to stare in wonder, and continued taking them up the path.

The Silver Millennium was alive with curiosity and wonder. Today was the day that their beloved Princess Serenity was to be presented to not only the Kingdom, but also to the first Royal Family of Earth. The people of Earth had never been to the Moon before, so this was a ground breaking time for all. As much as the people were excited to see their young Princess, they were almost just as excited to meet the people of Earth, for until this moment only their King and Queen had been in contact directly with the people of Earth.

The palace itself had been decorated with sweet flowers from both Earth and the Moon in order to emphasize the new alliance between their Kingdoms. Outside of the palace was a grand festival for all of the people of the Silver Millennium to enjoy to celebrate the birth of their new princess. It was through this festival that the Royal Family of Earth had walked to reach the palace steps.

While an envoy was sent to escort the royal family to the palace, the Silver Millennium royal family was housed in the Chamber of Prayer, offering their thanks and blessings to the Crystal Tower as they sought guidance for their young daughter, who was wrapped inside layers of silk swaddling cloaks. The small babe slept soundly in her mother’s arms, her crescent moon slightly aglow from the power of the Legendary Silver Crystal that surrounded her, enveloping her in its protection as a member of the royal family.

When they had finished their prayers, the King and Queen stepped from the Chamber of Prayer and found a group of young girls, led by an elder girl with hair of gold, kneeling at the base of the steps, awaiting their arrival. It was the Princess of Venus, who now served as the head of the Sailor Guardians, and the other young princesses of the group: Mercury, Mars, and Jupiter. Together this group of four guardians would protect their dearest infant daughter, and they would guide her as she grew into the Queen she would soon become.

With a small nod to them as she passed, an endearing smile present on her lips, Queen Serenity acknowledged their presence and silently gave them permission to rise and follow the royal family to the Palace steps where they would greet the royal family of Earth. The guardians, mere children themselves, were all present in order to become acquainted with their new charge. It was the official presenting of the Princess, and everyone would be there to welcome to newest addition to the royal family of the Silver Millennium.

As they reached the palace steps, the King and Queen smiled at the approaching family before them, the sailor guardians lining up in order of rank to the left of the Queen.

“Welcome,” Queen Serenity called out, “to the Silver Millennium.”
