"Bruce... Banner?" Cameron asked, blinking. "The Professor mentions him quite a bit. You work with him?"
"Yup, the very same. He lives in the tower, he was the first one to come back of the team." Tony grinned. "Life is never boring, at least."
"No kidding," Cameron said. She stretched a bit. "Must be nice to have interesting, sometimes. Best I get around here is a new arrival."
"Life around here does not count as boring," Tony pointed out. "You live with Logan. And a bunch of other crazies." But he at least said crazies affectionately.
"You get used to it after a while," Cameron admitted. "It is actually possible. You get used to the crazies around here."
Tony snickered. "Well, considering I got used to the team, I don't doubt you." He smirked. "Except for Logan, anyway."
"It's even possible to get used to Logan," Cameron said, grinning. "I promise it is."
"That I will doubt, for now," Tony said with a grin. "Logan is his own brand of crazy." Not that the Avengers weren't their own brand of crazy, after all.
Cameron snorted.
"As if you all aren't crazy yourselves," she retorted, grinning. "I watch the news." |
"Never said we weren't," Tony pointed out with a grin. "We're all a special kind of crazy for volunteering to be on a team that fights other crazies. Oh wait, you have another team here too, so more crazies."
Cameron smirked.
"Then you're double-crazy," she said. "Because if you weren't one of them, you'd be one of ours." |
Tony snickered. "Yeah, but I am okay with this," he said. "Charles and I have already talked extensively."
"I'm not surprised," Cameron replied. She grinned. "I'd pay good money to see you in an X-uniform though."
Tony snorted. "No thanks. Me and leather don't mix well. I like my armor."
Cameron snorted.
"I don't know who you think you're fooling," she replied. "I've seen those pictures of the leather pants." |
"That was thin leather," Tony pointed out. "Quite comfortable, really, you should try sometime."
"No thanks," Cameron said, holding up a hand. "Leather's not my thing."
"It could be," Tony said, but then he shrugged and let it drop.
"Having fun?" Sabine asked as she walked into the kitchen to make herself some tea. |
"Could ask you the same thing," Cameron replied, grinning teasingly. "What took you?"
"Took the scenic route," Sabine said with a little grin and a shrug. "Nothing exciting, though."
"Uh huh," Cameron replied. She grinned a bit. "Not that there's anything to see between the danger room and the kitchen that you haven't seen a million times before."
"I went outside in between."
Tony paused. "There are no doors or no windows in the Danger Room." "I took the long way around." Sabine shrugged. |
Cameron snickered a bit, but didn't push for details. She just pulled a chair out for Sabine to sit down and pushed over the pot of tea.
Sabine nodded her thanks, pouring herself a mug of tea.
"So, you and Logan, huh?" Tony asked with a grin. Sabine snorted and shook her head. |
"I told you it was nothing for you to worry about, Tony," Cameron commented. "Or at least, something along that line."
