"Can't exactly call Cam," Logan pointed out. "Her car's at the mansion. So unless ya want ta wait for Chuck and Roro ta get back from DC..."

Sabine groaned. "It's a damn good thing I always have my phone on me," she grumbled, pulling it out her bra where she'd stashed it the night before. She hit Tony's number and waited.

"Hey! You're still alive! Good, Peps was worried," Tony said.

"Yes, still alive, and grouchy," Sabine growled. "I need a ride back to the city. Room enough for two of us."

"Logan got stuck with you?" Tony asked with mock sympathy. For Logan.

"Hey!"

Logan snorted a bit. He could hear the whole thing.

"I can still shred that tin can of yours, kid," he said, loud enough for Tony to hear.

"You'd have to catch me first, and you don't fly," Tony said.

"Tony," Sabine said in the tone of voice that Pepper used. Tony actually shut up and stood up straighter. "I need a car down here."

"Alright, alright, don't get in such a huff," Tony grumped. "Someone will be there in half an hour. I've got all the kids here, everyone's safe, don't worry about that."

"Good. Don't get into more than average trouble." Sabine hung up and huffed.

Logan smirked.

"Looks like someone's got the kid of a leash," he said. "Good thing."

"Yes, her name is Pepper Potts, and I kind of want to be her when I grow up," Sabine said with a grin. "Fortunately I have learned from Miss Potts and I'm her favorite PA, so I have weight to throw around once in a while."

"Good ta know," Logan said, nodding. He held out a hand. "Lemme see yer phone so I can call Chuck." He gave her a bit of a Look. "Could mentioned you had it."

Sabine shrugged. "I actually forgot about it, it's habit to have it on me and I didn't feel it." She did hand over her phone without a fuss, though. "Sorry."

"How d'ya not feel it?" Logan asked with a bit of an odd look. Taking the phone, he dialed Ororo's number. She was more likely to have time to pick up than Charles.

"It ends up there a lot, I'm used to it," Sabine said with a shrug.

"Yes?" Ororo asked, not recognizing the number.

"Roro, it's Logan," he said even as he suppressed an eyeroll at Sabine. "There's been an attack on the mansion. Everybody's out, but the place isn't safe right now."

Ororo sighed. "We're still stuck here for another few days," she said. "I'll tell the Professor, but I doubt we'll be able to make it back until tomorrow, at least."

"Thanks, Roro," Logan said. "Maybe Chuck can get the word out to the rest of 'em, tell'em not to come back for now, until things're sorted out."

"We'll let everyone know, don't worry," Ororo said. "Whose phone are you using, by the way?"

Sabine, who had been shamelessly listening in, grinned. "Hi 'Ro!" she said brightly. "It's Bee, we're waiting for a pick-up in the middle of nowhere because Logan got us lost last night."

Logan grumbled at that, but couldn't outright protest without sounding petulant, and he just didn't do petulant.

"I'll call back if anything changes," he muttered.

"Please do," Ororo said, snickering. "We'll see you in a few days."

Sabine grinned at that. "At least there's only one of me," she pointed out. "And not your normal half dozen kids."

Still grumbling, Logan just handed back her phone and started off down the side of the road. Stark would find them soon enough.

Sabine quieted down after that, following Logan but not getting in his way. She did sag just a little in relief when Happy pulled over next to her.

"Heard you needed a lift," he said, hopping out and opening the back door for her.

"Happy, I could kiss you, you are my favorite now." Sabine smiled at him and slid into the car.

"Yeah, no, please don't," Happy said as they got into the car. He pointedly didn't look at Logan, who was very intimidating even after a night sleeping in the woods. "Where to?"

"My apartment, please." Sabine settled in for the drive, tucking her phone away again. "Won't take too long," she told Logan.

Logan just nodded and settled into the seat, though he didn't bother with the seat belt. Once they were both in, Happy got in as well and started driving towards the city.

As predicted, it didn't take too long to get back to Sabine's apartment. She thanked Happy again before she headed inside.

"And this is why I keep a spare key," she muttered, stretching up until her fingers could brush along the top of the doorframe and knock her spare key off.

"Good ta know," Logan replied as he waited for her to unlock the door. He wouldn't admit it aloud, yet, but a hot shower was starting to sound real good.

Sabine let them in and let out a little sigh of relief. "The bathroom is right there," she said, pointing it out. "I'll grab you some towels, too. Don't think I have anything that'll fit you, though, sorry about that. I could run those things through the wash, if you want."

"Sure," Logan replied, a bit absently. The smells of the apartment were new, and rather interesting, so he was making a quick mental catalog of them.
