Maya nodded.

"That sounds nice," she said.

Finally, Bucky got in what even he would call a lucky shot, managing to get her legs out from under her and put her on the mat. He backed off immediately, giving her a chance to get back up.

"Do you need anything? Or are you ready?" Steve raised an eyebrow at her, though he didn't push either way.

Colbie got to her feet again almost immediately, prowling in a circle around the edge of the mat, giving the start of the next round to him.

"Let me just put my shoes on and get my coat," Maya replied, walking carefully towards the door, where her coat was hanging and her shoes were waiting. She moved at an easy waddle, now that the baby was so big, but she wasn't necessarily slow.

Bucky watched her stalk around the mat, studying her carefully. Then he lunged at her, starting the new round of sparring.

Steve didn't offer to help, because he knew she didn't need it and she'd get a little upset if he offered too often. But he did keep half his attention on her as he got his own shoes on.

Colbie settled in to the next round of sparring easily, more on the defensive this round, but also a little calmer, more clear-headed. Which wasn't necessarily good for Bucky.

Once Maya had her shoes on and was pulling her coat on so it fit around her belly, she glanced at Steve.

"I'm ready," she said softly.

Bucky could tell that her mental state was changing a bit. Her moves were becoming more calculated, less frustrated and wild. It was forcing him to get more serious himself.

Steve nodded and settled his hand gently against her lower back, walking with her into the elevator and pushing the button for the ground floor.

With a few well-timed feints and kicks, Colbie actually managed to get Bucky off his feet, even if only briefly. She looked a little surprised at that herself.

Maya couldn't help but smile a bit when she felt his hand. The touch was comforting, and she wanted to enjoy it for a while.

Bucky hit the floor hard on his left shoulder, grimacing when the arm socket got jammed up against the bone for a moment. He got to his feet quickly, flexing his arm and hand a bit.

Steve didn't do more than that, but he did stay close once they were out of the building.

"Nice day today, for once."

Colbie watched him, assessing. Not that she wanted to do him real harm, of course, so she did have to be a bit careful.

"Mmm," Maya agreed, nodding. "Feels nice." It was cold out, since winter was approaching quickly, but the fresh air was nice and Maya enjoyed the chill.

As soon as he was sure the arm was fine, Bucky smirked a bit and dropped back into a ready stance.

"Ladies first," he said.

Steve grinned a bit and just settled in to walk with her for a little bit. That was fine, he didn't mind that in the least.

Colbie smirked and lunged at him, moving quickly and retreating as soon as she lost the upper hand.

Unfortunately, Maya didn't notice that they were being tailed. The plainclothes Hydra agent began to follow them almost as soon as they left the tower, and had already reported back to base that the asset was in sight.

Bucky was ready for the lunge and made her work for the upper hand. The workout was good for both of them.

Steve didn't notice until it was too late. A dozen Hydra agents came out of nowhere, circling around them so Steve couldn't put Maya in a safe corner or anything. He swore quietly.

Finally, after a little while longer of sparring, Colbie hit the mat, and she slapped the mat twice to show she gave in. But she was clearly more relaxed.

Maya tensed up, wrapping her arms around her belly protectively.

"No," she said, "stay away. You can't have her!"

Bucky backed off as soon as Colbie tapped out, and held out a hand to help her up.

"Better?" he asked.

Steve hit the panic button on his phone, eyeing the Hydra agents and figuring out how long he could hold them off for. His estimates were good, but not good enough.

"Much." Colbie accepted his hand up, standing easily. "That was good."

"Good." Bucky was just reaching for a bottle of water when the alarms started going off. He froze for a moment, and then swore and took off for the doors.

Colbie ran after him without even really registering what she was doing. Something had happened, that much was obvious, and apparently she was going to help now.

"What's going on?" Bucky demanded when he found the others. He barely even registered Colbie following him.

"Cap set off his alarm," Tony said without looking away from the screen in front of him. "He's here." He brought up the GPS to show the others. Steve's little dot was moving rather erratically on the map in the middle of the park.

"What the hell is he doing out there?" Bucky asked, watching the screen. He wished it was more than a dot on a map; he needed to know what exactly was going on, damn it.

"No idea," Tony muttered. "Just another second for those cameras, and--" He flicked his fingers at the screen, and multiple security feeds came up to show Steve fighting off the Hydra goons as best he could and trying hard to stay close to Maya. He wasn't managing to do both very well.

Bucky swore under his breath. He could make a few pretty good guesses as to why Hydra was there and what they wanted.

"He can't manage that all on his own," he said, abruptly turning and heading down for the garage. Steve's motorcycle was still down there, it would do.

Tony growled something about super-soldiers but didn't actually try to stop him, instead going to get the suit.

Colbie stayed right on Bucky's heels, her eyes narrowed and her posture tense.

Bucky went straight for the motorcycle.

"Get on," he said to Colbie, already getting onto it himself.

Colbie settled on behind him, expression grim. She knew how Hydra worked; she knew they wouldn't get there in time to help Maya.

As soon as Colbie was on the bike, Bucky turned the engine over and took off, heading towards the park. He knew how Hydra worked, as well, but he still had to try.
