"We can't look after each other if we split up," Kendra protested. "That's not a good idea."

Daredevil studied them for a moment.

"Actually, it's not half-bad," he said. He turned towards Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. "As long as they look after whoever I can't find a place for."

"We can take one," Wanda agreed easily.

"I don't like this," Bianca said, looking at them with wide eyes. "Not at all."

"Pick one," Wanda murmured to Daredevil.

"I don't like it either," Kendra replied, shaking her head.

"You take the other one," Daredevil murmured back to Scarlet Witch. "Whatever she does, she messes with my senses, I don't like it. I can find a place for her sister."

Wanda nodded and looked at the girls again.

"I know this is difficult," she said. "But it is safer this way. It won't be for long, and you two can still be in contact. You just won't be staying at the same place." She paused for a few beats, giving them a chance to protest. Then she looked at Kendra. "You will be staying with us."

Bianca made an aborted protesting noise at that, mostly because she didn't want to be separated from her sister.

"I still don't see why we need to be split up," Kendra replied, taking a step back. She glanced at them. "I mean, how is it more dangerous for us to be together than it is for you two?"

"They have nothing on us." Wanda shrugged. "But they know about you two. They will be looking for a pair of sisters hiding out together. They will overlook you if you hide separately."

Kendra bit her lip, glancing at Bianca. She didn't want to leave her sister, she really didn't. But what Wanda said was making a terrifying amount of sense.

Bianca sighed. "Text me as often as you can," she said. "We'll meet up in a few days, make sure everything is still going alright."

Wanda nodded her satisfaction and stepped back, giving the two a minute.

Kendra nodded reluctantly and hugged her sister.

"Constant contact," she agreed. "Be careful, alright? I'll come find you if you need help."

"Same to you." Bianca hugged her tight for a moment before she took a step back. "I'll see you soon." She huffed and looked at Daredevil.

"Well, guess you're stuck with me now."

Wanda moved so she was next to Kendra, waiting quietly.

"Oh, you're not staying with me," Daredevil replied. "I know of someone I can send you to, you'll be safer there."

Kendra pressed her lips together tightly, and turned to the other two.

"Well?" she asked.

"That sounds lovely. And this person is just going to take in a total stranger on your word?" Bianca raised her eyebrow at him.

"This way," Wanda said, motioning. Pietro went ahead of them, and Wanda fell into step next to Kendra.

"Pretty much," Daredevil replied. "Don't worry. He's a good guy."

Sparks still crackled around Kendra's fingers as she walked, and she didn't bother trying to reign them in. She wasn't pleased with the situation, at all, and she wasn't going to pretend otherwise.

Bianca snorted a bit and shook her head, but she didn't contradict him.

"You know, you are kind of not surprised at all by this, which makes me wonder how often this has happened."

Wanda was quiet for a few moments. "This is temporary," she said after a few moments. "I know you're upset, and I understand. I would be if I was told we had to separate." She motioned between herself and Pietro. "But I am hoping this will go away soon."

"What, sending someone somewhere safe?" Daredevil asked. He gave a single shrug. "Once or twice. Anyway, I have an address for you, you'll need to write it down somewhere."

"I just had to leave my sister in the hands of a guy who parkours around Hell's Kitchen in a mask, I think I'm justified," Kendra retorted.

"Just tell me." Bianca pulled out her phone to jot it down, glancing around every once in a while. So she was feeling a little paranoid, she figured that could be forgiven.

"He's a good man," Wanda said. "She will be safe." She slowed a bit as they got farther away from the area. "This is our building." She gently pushed open the door to an older apartment building, half-empty from the looks of it. But no one had noticed or said anything about the twins moving into a vacant apartment.

Daredevil nodded and recited an address.

"Ask for Foggy Nelson," he said.

"I'm still going to worry about her," Kendra said as she followed them into the apartment. She stood there a little awkwardly once they were inside.

Bianca paused for a moment, looking at the address. "Isn't that above the liquor store?" she asked, glancing at him, because she was pretty sure she knew that building.

"I never expected otherwise." Wanda slid her jacket off once they were inside. "There's a spare bedroom for you, if you'd like to sleep. Otherwise I was planning on making breakfast in a little while, or you can shower. Whatever you'd like to do."

"Would that stop you if it was?" Daredevil asked in reply. "Just go there. You'll be safe."

Kendra didn't respond immediately, and then closed her eyes briefly and took a breath.

"Thank you," she murmured. "Are you sure it's okay I take the bedroom?" The apartment didn't look all that big, after all.

"No, I know the owner of the liquor store," Bianca replied, almost absently. She frowned at him. "You're oddly invested in reassuring me for someone who wanted nothing to do with me fifteen minutes ago."

"We normally share the other bedroom," Wanda said with a nod. "Go ahead and get some rest, we'll still be here when you get up."

"Would you rather I was abrasive and rude?" Daredevil asked. He couldn't help but raise an eyebrow, even under the mask. "You're wasting time. I'll follow you to make sure you get there safely."

Kendra nodded and quietly headed into the other room. It had been a long night, and a stressful morning, and she felt wrung out.

Bianca snorted at him, shook her head, and headed off towards Doggy's apartment. And hopefully there would be coffee.

Wanda and Pietro settled in as well, talking quietly. They figured they had some time before Kendra woke again.

As soon as she was out of earshot, Matt pulled out his burner phone and hit the speed-dial for Foggy.

In spite of how tired she was, it took Kendra a long time to fall asleep. Once she did, her sleep was fitful and light, and her tossing and turning built up static electricity in the bedding.

"Wha?" Foggy still sounded mostly asleep. "'s goin' on?"

Pietro checked on her a few times, though he never tried to touch her. He just made sure she wasn't getting too upset or anything, and then went back to whatever he'd been doing. Wanda, mostly, was more patient, sitting in the living room with the TV on as quiet background noise.

"Hey, it's me," Matt said quickly. "I'm out. Listen, I have someone coming your way, she needs to lie low for a bit and I can't take her in."

Kendra woke up every time he opened the door, even though she dozed back off quickly afterwards. The fourth time, though, she couldn't help but let her skin spark up some in warning.
