"...What?" Foggy actually took a few moments to process that. "Why me? Matt, why can't you take her in? And it's a her? Is she hot? Why am I asking that, of course she is."

Pietro didn't notice and-or didn't care, take your pick, but he didn't stay long anyway. He just checked on her and left again, because he was impatient and kind of hungry.

"Just-- Trust me, Foggy, okay, I can't take her in, so I'm sending her to you," Matt said. "Get up, at least make sure you're wearing pants, she's on her way."

The fifth time he came in and woke her up, she sat up and groaned a bit.

"Stop that," she said. "I'm trying to rest."

Foggy groaned. "You owe me, Murdock," he growled. "All the bagels. And I mean all of them. At the office. In a few hours when we're there, which, by the way, so not cool, dude." And then he hung up, because he had to go make sure he was dressed when this girl showed up.

"Not well," Pietro pointed out. "Eat first, then vent, then rest. It will work better that way."

"All the bagels, Foggy, promise," Matt said. He hung up the phone as well and hurried to catch up to the girl, though he kept out of sight.

"Maybe if you stopped disturbing me, I'd have slept better," Kendra snapped, a few sparks crackling through her hair. "And you don't want me to vent here, trust me."

Bianca walked with purpose towards the apartment. One or two people gave her a second look, but she ignored them, walking like she wanted to murder someone. Which she kind of did.

Fortunately it didn't take her long to get to Foggy's apartment.

Pietro shrugged. "Better than keeping it inside," he said. "But if you prefer, I know a safe place you could use."

Even though he was expecting it, Foggy still jumped when he heard the knock. Grumbling under his breath, he went to as we'd the door.

"Just leave me alone," Kendra said, turning away from him again.

"Foggy Nelson?" Bianca asked, looking him over quickly. He looked relatively harmless. And grumpy, but she could understand that.

Pietro shrugged and left again. Not his job to talk to her.

But if she didn't come out on her on in the next few hours he'd go pester her into it.

"Yeah, that's me," Foggy replied, looking at her. Of course she was pretty, Matt didn't know how to meet girls that weren't pretty, Foggy still didn't know how. "How can I help you?"

Kendra tried to settle back in, but it was futile. With a frustrated growl, she got up and paced around the room some.

"Your friend in the mask said I could stay here for a day or two." Bianca looked at him for a moment before she shrugged. "I understand if you say no, but if you could point me at the nearest coffee shop? I don't know this area that well."

"There's warm food if you want," Wanda called through the door after several minutes of silence.

"Of course he did," Foggy said. He resisted the urge to roll his eyes. "Come on in, I've got coffee. We can... figure out what's going on."

Kendra was quiet for a moment, and then did what she could to get the static out of her hair. Then she opened the door.

"Thanks," she murmured.

Bianca stepped inside carefully, glancing around before heading towards the coffee. She had the feeling she was going to need a lot of it.

"I am sorry about this," she said, glancing at him. "To put you out, and all that."

Wanda smiled and ushered her into the little kitchenette. Pietro had plates out, and there was food enough for the three of them.

"I got a little of everything, I wasn't sure what you'd like," Wanda said, not quite fretting as she picked a chair and let Kendra settle in.

"Don't worry about it," Foggy said, closing the door again. "This is definitely not the worst thing that's happened since that guy showed up in Hell's Kitchen." Heading into the kitchen, he turned on the coffee maker and brought out a mismatched pair of mugs and handed her one. "Here. Milk's in the fridge, sugar's in the cabinet."

"Thanks," Kendra said as she cautiously sat down. She took a plate as it was passed to her.

"Thanks." Bianca doctored her tea and drank slowly, relaxing a little. She glanced at him from time to time, trying to figure out why he was so okay with this.

Wanda and Pietro ate quietly. Pietro was done first, no surprise, and he cleaned up while the two girls finished eating.

"I was thinking we could go to your apartment in a few hours, pick up some things for you," Wanda offered. "That should be safe enough."

"So," Foggy said, "who are you, anyways? I mean, since you're here and all, may as well get to know you some."

"I thought the point was to not go back there," Kendra replied, raising an eyebrow.

"Bianca," she said after a moment. "My sister and I were jumped by a group of people, don't know what they wanted, but they knew where we were. A couple of people helped us out, your friend in the mask got volunteered to take one of us in because apparently we can't go back to our apartment, so here I am."

"They'll never see me," Pietro said with a smirk.

Wanda rolled her eyes at him. "You should not go back, but Pietro can get some things for you."

"I swear to god I'm gonna punch him in his smug face next time I see him," Foggy grumbled into his coffee.

Kendra paused.

"What do you two do, anyways?" she asked, looking at them a bit sideways. "I don't think I ever caught it."

"You and me both." Bianca made a face. "I get the feeling he was laughing at me part of the time. Also, not cool to drop me on your doorstep."

"For a living?" Pietro asked, because he was a little shit.

"Or our mutations?" Wanda was a little more helpful.

"Yeah, well, nothing we can do about it now," Foggy said. "I'll see if I can get any more information for you later on, when I'm relatively certain nothing bad will happen because of it."

"...Yes," Kendra replied cautiously, looking at them both.

"You're going to see him later? Or someone who might have an idea what the hell happened?" Bianca raised her eyebrows at him.

Wanda snorted. "Pietro can run very fast," she summarized. "I can see the probabilities of certain events."

"And she hits people with red lightning," Pietro chimed in.

"Hush. It's not lightning, exactly. As for jobs..."

"We recently left our last employer," Pietro said, his voice a little too cheerful. "So we're on our own now."

"That, I'm not quite sure yet," Foggy replied, a bit of sarcastic brightness in his tone. "But I'll tell you when I've found something."

"Probabilities?" Kendra asked, blinking a bit. "How does that one work?"

Bianca blinked, and then smirked at him. "I think you might actually be okay," she said, still smirking. "You're a decent sort, Foggy Nelson."

Wanda shrugged. "It is difficult to explain. But when I focus, I can see the probabilities of different outcomes. Like earlier this morning, I saw that if you and your sister returned to your apartment, there was a very high probability of you being injured and kidnapped."

"Glad to know you approve," Foggy replied. He gestured to the coffee maker. "Have all the coffee you like, make yourself comfortable. You're probably going to be here at least for today."

Kendra blinked.

"O...kay..." she said. "Weird, but useful. More useful than what I can do, at least." She wiggled her fingers a bit and sparks crackled along the lines of her bones.

Bianca made a bit of a face. "You got a job you have to get to?" she asked, because it was already light outside now and she really wanted to sleep, but maybe not if she was going to be alone here.

"Electricity is useful," Wanda said with a shrug. "Our powers were... enhanced."

Pietro frowned at her for that and got up to go get more coffee.

"Attorney," Foggy said with a bit of a shrug. "Pays the bills and all."

"Enhanced?" Kendra repeated with a bit of a frown. That definitely didn't sound like a good thing, the way Wanda had said it.

Bianca actually paled a bit. "He sent me to a lawyer. Right. Genius idea." She briefly hid her face in her hands.

"It was voluntary," Wanda told her. "But painful. We realized later that the organization that did it was... not one we wanted to be associated with."
