Lori was way too cute in that outfit, he decided. He almost couldn't handle it. "Well...breakfast would be a good start." Roy said, realizing they'd never had anything to eat that morning.

"That sounds like a plan to me." Gemini said, fanning herself lightly. "There are plenty of cafes around here. Do you want to go to one?"

"What would you like me to make master?" Lori was already getting tired of calling him master.

Al spotted a small place that he could afford. "How about there?"

"You don't have to call me master after every sentence." Roy said, sensing Lori's irritation with the name. "As for breakfast, I would like bacon and eggs."

Gemini looked at the place Al pointed out. It looked cute, and affordable, which was fine with her. "Yeah, okay." She said, smiling once again.

"Alright." Lori went and made breakfast setting the table as well managing to not burn the eggs like she usually did. She plated him food "I made waffles as well." She couldn't handle eggs and bacon without something more filling. If she had just eaten the eggs and bacon she would have eaten all the bacon.

Al lead the way and found a table near a window. He head over and held the chair out for her smiling.

Roy sat down to eat and smiled inwardly at the sight of the pancakes. He'd had a feeling Lori might do something like that. "This looks wonderful, thank you Lori." He said. "Now please sit down and eat with me." He didn't really plan to abuse his privileges for the day, he mostly just wanted to see her in a maid costume. Mostly.

Gemini followed him into the cafe and to the table. Her cheeks went slightly pink when Al held the chair out for her. He was always such a gentleman, doing small things like that. "Th-thank you." She said, sitting down.

"No problem." Al grinned. "Mom and Ed raised me right." he sat across from her and gave her hand a squeeze. "Remind me to call and see how he is." he hadn't talked to his brother in a few days.

"Alright." Lori sat and dug in having been starving. She sat back with a sigh and let herself digest before she got to work on the dishes.

Gemini nodded, squeezing his hand back. "I'll make sure I remind you. I'd like to call miss Lori, as well, when you're done." She said. She hadn't spoken to anyone in a while, either, and though she had sent letters out, those wouldn't arrive until the next week at least.

Roy ate a little more slowly, enjoying Lori's cooking. He had to admit that she was good- really good. He chuckled as she took the dishes away. "Is there anything in the world you're not good at?" He asked.

Lori thought about the question. "If there is I haven't found it yet." she smirked a little going to do the dishes humming as she worked. She put everything away and managed to drop the towel on the floor just as she was putting it away rolling her eyes she picked it up.

"I hope her cat hasn't killed her yet." Al smiled a little. "that cat was just like her though."

Roy watched her do the dishes, smiling the whole time. When she had to bend over to pick up the towel, he found himself doing something he'd never done before: he looked away. For some reason, he didn't want to violate her privacy like that.

Gemini chuckled. "I know. I didn't think it would be like that, but I guess pets take on the characteristics of their owners. That cat is probably even more grumpy now than ever." She wondered if the cat would recognize her when they eventually made it back.

"Is that even possible?" Al laughed. "Imagine if it had babies."

Lori turned to Roy. "Anything else Master?"

Gemini's face lit up. "They would be the cutest kittens ever." She said. "But probably the grumpiest, too."

Roy was still looking away, so he startled a bit when she spoke to him. "That will be all for now, Lori." He said, turning to look at her again.

Lori sat next to him and at once her cat leaped into her lap. "Cute." She smiled and pet the cat who purred giving Roy a smug look.

"I can see them know." Al chuckled. "Lori would be so mad but she would huff and then get over it."

Roy smiled. "Really cute." He said, but he was looking at Lori instead of the cat.

Gemini giggled. "She wouldn't be able to stay mad, they'd be too cute. Miss Lori pretends to be all mean, but she's a softie inside."

"Yeah she is. She has to put up with Roy you would need a hard shell." Al joked really glad neither of them could hear them.

Lori didn't even bother looking up she was busy combing her fingers there her cats fur a smile on her face. It was the first time he had seen her look that relaxed. The cat sensing her mood fell asleep in her lap happily acting as a calmer as long as she got petted.

"That's true." Gemini said, wincing slightly.

Roy watched the scene, smiling gently. He wasn't used to Lori looking so domestic, and he found it...attractive. Adorable. He found himself imagining her holding a baby- his baby- and blushed. What the heck?! He started coughing and shook his head to clear it. Obviously he wasn't thinking straight.

"Are you alright Roy?" Lori frowned. "Your all red." she pressed a hand to his forehead leaning a little closer. "You don't seem to have a temperature. Are you allergic to cats maybe?"

Al fell silent imagining the beating they would get them with a grimaced changed to subject. "So um my favorite color is blue." he nodded.

"What? Oh, I-I'm fine." Roy said, trying to cover up his discomfort. When she put her hand on his forehead, he actually jumped backwards- which caused his chair to tip over and send him sprawling on his butt. "I'm okay. No, I'm not allergic."

Gemini blinked, then laughed at his sudden change of subject. He was so cute sometimes. "Okay. Mine's green." She said. "Specifically, seafoam green, but really I like all kinds of green."

"OK. My favorite time of year is Spring and as you know I love cats. Dogs are cool to but there just something about cats." Al shrugged.

Lori had been leaning so far forward she nearly fell with him. "Are you alright?" she gasped displacing the annoyed cat who glared at Roy before she rushed away. Lori rushed to his side "Are you hurt anywhere?"

Gemini nodded. "My favorite is fall, I love all the colors and the warm days and cool nights...and I love all animals, not just dogs and cats." She said.

Roy was now blushing even more than he had been. "I-I'm fine, not hurt at all." He said, not looking at Lori.

"Why won't you look at me?" Lori pouted placing her hand on the side of his face gentle pushing his face towards her. "You can tell me if something's wrong."

"What else? You know I have a brother and you know all about him. What about you?" Al frowned realizing he knew next to nothing about her past.

Roy looked up and looked at her reluctantly. "Nothing's wrong, Lori. I was just thinking about something silly." He said. "Don't worry about it."

Gemini shrugged. "There's really not much to tell, besides what I already told you when we first met." She said. "I lived with my parents until I was about five, when they died. Then I lived alone, and I taught myself alchemy to get by."

"That sounds sad." Al frowned. "I don't think I could have gotten as far as I did without my brother."

Lori smiled at him. "Alright love." She kissed him gentle pulling away slowly. "I love you."

Gemini shrugged again, this time looking a little less cheerful. "Yeah, I guess it's sad. I've never let myself think about it. If I think about it...I wouldn't be able to keep going."

Roy smiled, relieved to a certain extent. However, he also felt...strangely unsatisfied, like maybe he should have told her. "I love you, too, Lori." He said.

"good because I would b upset if you didn't." Lori kissed him again and then helped him up. "There we go."

"Well you have me know." Al kissed her hand gentle.

"Well, we dodged a bullet there, then. I wouldn't want you to be upset." Roy said.

Gemini blinked, jolted out of her memories, and blushed. "Th-thank you..." She said.
