"Cuddling it is." Lori pulled him onto the bed and curled against him.

Almost a month passed, and Gemini felt herself getting closer and closer to Al. The kitten stayed small instead of growing up, which concerned her a little, but it was otherwise healthy. It seemed more intelligent than cats were supposed to be, so Gemini talked to it a lot. That morning, she woke up to see a warm, breezy, sunny day- perfect for a day out. With a smile, she got up and went out to the kitchen to start breakfast.

Al was already awake doing his morning work out. He had discovered that he loved eating but that he had a slow metabolism so he had to work out if he didn't want to get fat. "Morning." He smiled at her.

Gemini smiled at the now-familiar sight of Al working out. "Good morning." She said. "Eggs for breakfast?" She asked, taking out a pan.

"Eggs sound great." Al hopped to his feet. "Maybe you could teach me how to cook so you don't have to all the time."
|
Gemini shrugged, smiling. "Sure, if you want." She said. "I don't mind cooking, though. I kind of like it." She added, breaking a couple of eggs into the pan.

"But I should still learn. Seems like a useful tool to have." Al smiled and cracked an egg experimenting.

"That's true enough." Gemini said. "Oh, here, try it like this." She showed him how to lightly tap the egg on the counter to crack it, then push gently on the crack to break it into the pan. "It takes a little practice, but it's easy enough to learn. Just remember there can't be any shell pieces in there."

Al did as told frowning when a shell dropped into the pan. "Sorry." He fished it out with a fork. "It's harder then you would think."

Gemini nodded. "It's okay." She said. "Like I said, it gets easier. And you're already doing great. Your first time and only one shell? That's amazing. I still get shells in every so often."

Al grinned. "Maybe I'm gifted." he was joking of course. He tried again this time managing to not get a shell in the pan but they did go on the floor."

Gemini laughed as the kitten instantly appeared to clean up the mess on the floor, but ran away quickly after finding she didn't like the taste. "I'll clean that up after. Now, all we do is use the spatula to flip the eggs over when they're ready."

Al gave it a shot but soon they eggs become scrambled. "Um...I hope that was what you where going for." he smiled sheepishly.

Gemini chuckled. "Not really, but it'll do. I haven't had scrambled eggs in a long time." She said, reaching up to quickly kiss his cheek before working on the eggs.

Al blushed and then kissed her letting the eggs burn a little just so they could kiss. "I love you." He smiled at her.

Gemini blushed and smiled. "I love you, too." She said. After a moment, she went back to the eggs, attempting to salvage what she could.
|
"Sorry about the eggs." Al blinked at the slightly burnt mess he had helped make. "I'm sure it's still eatable." he grinned sheepishly.

Gemini chuckled. "It's not a problem, they're totally fixable." She said, even as she did so. "Just a few burned edges. See? Perfect. Can you get the plates out?"

Al nodded and set the plates out then helped her set the food on the table giving her one more kiss before he sat down to eat digging in with gusto.

Gemini went about setting the food up quietly, comfortable in their routine by now. If she wasn't careful, she sometimes caught herself imagining that it would be like this if they were married. Sitting down, she started eating much slower than him. "Please be careful. Remember to actually chew." She reminded him gently.

Al paused fork half way to his mouth he swallowed and blushed. "Thanks." He smiled and ate more slowly. "I still forget that I have all the time in the world. It just feels like a dream any minute I'm going to wake up and be stuck in that can."
