Gemini shifted in her chair, looking uncomfortable. "Well then...I think I'm going to forget that bit of information."

"That wasn't what I meant, but okay." Roy said, taking the stack of papers.

"Well thats just a start. You need to look over the list of general and decide if there are any changes you want to make. We need to come up with any law changes or new laws." Lori listed them off then sighed.

"I don't think about it either." Winry chuckled. "If I did Ed wouldn't be able to walk."

Roy nodded. "Well, at least I already have a few ideas for that much." He'd had a long time to plan out what he wanted to do, after all.

Gemini snorted. "Let's talk about something else." She said, trying not to imagine Winry kicking Ed in the family jewels.

"Good." Lori settled against his side and got to work her pen flying over the papers as her eyes darting back and forth between sentences and papers.

"Like how good this cooking is." Al suggested staring at his plate.

Roy did the same, getting as comfortable as he could before setting to work. There was a lot of writing, and he had to shake his hand out several times, but he didn't stop or complain even once.

Gemini latched onto this new topic like a life preserver. "Yeah, it's really good! I'd like to learn how to cook this way." She said.

Lori stopped after a couple hours. "Tomorrow is the day." she squeezed his hand. "Who do you want to be your second in command?" she asked wishing Hughes was there so they could ask him.

"I'm sure Grandma wouldn't mind teaching you." Winry smirked letting the subject change.

Roy paused a moment, flexing his fingers to bring feeling back into them. "You." He answered, without hesitation. He had thought of Hughes as well, but refused to continue that line of thought. "There's no one I would trust with this more than you. Unless you don't want to, of course. I won't force you. I don't want to put too much pressure on you." He did have a backup in mind if she said no.

Gemini smiled. "Really? That's great! I love cooking, but I only know a few things since I'm self-taught. It would be awesome if I could cook new things like this." That would mean less dinners out, and she could cook good food for Al.

"Roy I would love to be your second in command but with a baby on the way we'll have to think of someone else...how about Riza?" Lori scowled a little still a little jealous of Riza.

"Well go ahead and ask her." Winry smiled.

Roy shook his head. "No, actually I had someone else in mind if you said no." He said with a smirk. "Though I'm not sure if this choice will go over well or not."

Gemini nodded. "Okay! I'll ask after we're done eating."

"Do I dare ask who it is?" Lori blinked a little.

"It's up to you." Winry shrugged.

Roy grinned. "I was thinking of Al." He said. He had thought of Ed as well, but that situation seemed a little too dangerous. "He's young, but he's got a good head on his shoulders. And he's one of the heroes who saved the world, so it shouldn't be too hard for him to be accepted."

Gemini quickly finished eating, then jumped up from the table to go ask Winry's grandmother to teach her how to cook.

"Thats perfect." Lori grinned and added it to her notes. "Speaking of I should tell Gemini and the others the good news when they come back."

Roy smiled. "They'll be thrilled, I'm sure." He said, imagining the response to this news.

"I think Ed may pass out." Lori smirked. "We may need to catch him."

"Are we lucky or what?" Ed grinned watching the girls cook. "Yeah." Al smiled.

Roy laughed. "Either that, or he'll start running." He said. "At least Gemini will be happy for us." That much he could be sure of.

Gemini managed to cook the recipe right after her second try. By that time, Selena had come out to see what smelled so good and was now sitting below them, waiting for food to drop.

"This is true...probably they only one." Lori sighed looking a little depressed.

"Oh, come on, I'm sure that's not true. I'll bet everyone except Ed is happy for us." Roy said. "And even Ed will be happy, he just won't want to let us know about it."

"We can count on Al and Gemini for sure." Lori smiled. "Riza and Winry are a maybe."

"At least we have two on our side." Roy said with a smile.

"Yeah." Lori sighed again and pouted. "I'm hungry."

"We should head home." Al voiced after while.

Roy chuckled. "Do you want to go out, or should I make you something?" He asked.

Gemini nodded. "Yeah, probably. It's getting late." She agreed.

"Would you make me something?" Lori pouted more. "pretty please."

Al took her hand and waved to Ed and Winry who would be staying put. He had even managed to borrow Grannys car. "I actually get to drive." he grinned.

"Of course. I wouldn't have offered otherwise." Roy said, getting up. "You relax, I'll come get you when it's done."

Gemini smiled. "I don't think I've ever seen you drive before. This should be fun." She said brightly.

Al managed not to hit anything of importance. "We managed to survive." he gasped when he found a parking spot at there hotel.

Lori put her feet up and relaxed humming softly.

Gemini laughed nervously. "Maybe next time let's just take the train." She said. From her lap, Selena opened one eye and meowed frustratedly.

About twenty minutes passed before Roy reappeared. "It's ready." He said. "I can bring it in here if you want. Or I could carry you out there." He was already going into overprotective mode.
