Lori emerged from under the blanket and swallowed the pills groaning a little. "Thanks Tony...I didn't know who and Pepper had broken up. I'm so sorry Tony but clearly she doesn't deserve you especially if she did that." she growled a little unable to understand how a girl could do that.

"I'm no hero just a normal man who's trying to do what's right and regardless of the fact that they saved me I would still take down S.H.I.E.L.D. if they did anything." Steve shook his hand. 'I don't need you to fear me I just need you to understand that I will destroy anything that threatens this world."

Tony shook his head "We were together for quite awhile, but it doesn't bother me. That's why I don't mind getting close to anyone else of my choosing. For right now just focus on getting over this hangover, we'll do some tests tomorrow to try and figure out where that fire stone is." Tony then thought about something "Need anything else?" he asked saying his thoughts.

Rose stared at him for a moment with a blank look on her face, not amused clearly, but then again there was no reason to be amused. "What point is protecting a world if it just falls apart anyways?" she heard him say that he would do anything to protect the world and her mind simply remember who she had spoken to. "Understood, but you need to understand that there is more out there in the world than those who make themselves known as a threat." in simple terms those who appear normal are the ones you have to watch out for.

"No I don't think there's anything I need." Lori trailed off and reaching out she grabbed Tony's sleeve. "Do I have to search for it?" she sounded frightened. "I'm so scared that if I listen to that voice it will take over my mind and make me do horrible things." she swallowed. "I can give you a description and how it works."

"I know that." Steve shrugged. "So long as we understand each other." he stepped away and stared at the wall. "If you want to leave feel free to at any time." he turned to leave. "It's late though at you should rest a little. Bruce is are doctor and he'll look you over before you go if you want.''

Tony saw the fear in her eyes, he couldn't tell her to search for it with how she seemed to have felt about being close to it. "Don't worry, once we get a description of it and how it works, I'm sure we can find it easily." Tony answered scooting over to sit next to her placing his arms around her to hopefully comfort her. "Now come on, you need some sleep. I'll stay until you fall asleep." and he would too, lately Tony has grown to become a man of his word more than ever before.

"Do you guys really help the world? Do they want your help?" Rose sounded more hopeful than ignorant wondering what it was the Avengers really did besides taken down villains who thought they were everything. She remembered stories of superheroes and villains growing up. Heroes had rules. Villains had none. Rose stayed where she was as she leaned against the wall.

"Well the second question depends on who you ask." Steve laughed a little. "Some feel like we're a disaster others think where a great thing. I think it's a little of both we are needed to protect the world but sometimes we create the problems we need to solve so it's a weird situation. I feel the world needs us as the New York incident proved."

Lori nodded and slowly feel asleep her hand gripping his shirt sleeve tightly until she was completely out. Once she was her hand released his shirt and flopped to her side.

Rose remembered that incident, she was there, and even watched for a bit as the Avengers fought. Though she knew they didn't cause that, she still envied them on being able to not hide and let the world see themselves for who they really are. Heroes. She still had her choice to make, though she didn't have to do it right off the bat. First things first.

"I'm not a threat, at least not unless you give me a reason to be which isn't easy to do. I don't like machines or things that are not natural. I wasn't raised that way and will not care to change my ways. I know how to work some technology up to this day and age, but only because I can't live in the past forever. I'm Rose, Rose Unilon, but just call me Rose. I don't care for my last name really." Rose spoke giving a small smile then looked down at her appearance, her clothes were changed, but she really wanted to get back into her actual style.

Tony waited until she fell asleep, he felt like he remembered something when he and Pepper would cuddle while she passed out. Always trying her hardest, he thought he had the best woman in the world, until something changed, and she...well cheated on him with his best friend. His friend was still trying to make better amends with him, Tony forgave him, but never her. Moments after she fell asleep he stood up quietly moving away after tucking her in. Walking to the door glad the light was dim as he flipped the switch to turn it off, he closed the door going back to his office. He already had started to try and locate the fire stone.

"It's nice to meet you Rose." Steve smiled at her. "I should warn you that Tony likes to dabble in technology. So far he hasn't made anything to out there just his Iron man suits. I don't understand technology yet." he admitted feeling a little out dated by the thought of all the advances that had happened during the eighty years he had been frozen. He let out a soft yawn and chuckled "For know I'm going to head to bed."

"He can create them, but I just hope he keeps them from me." Rose knew she had a way to keep herself safe if ever needed be from technology in more than one way depending on the situation. "Yea I gave up trying to understand this world's advancement with technology. Soon enough we might actually have someone who can do alchemy which is a combination of magic and science. Then again I think that villain from The Battle Of New York, Loki, pretty much accomplished that, but only with energy." Rose added thinking that Loki was cool, but too power hungry. "Alright then, Guten Nacht." Rose spoke using German to say 'Good Night'

Lori woke the next morning with a groan and rubbed her temples as she stumbled to the bathroom to get aspirin. "Oh God my head." she swallowed them then went to go get a cup of coffee wondering if anyone was up. She made herself a strong cup of coffee and sat at the table letting her head rest on it.

Steve woke early like usual and went for his morning jog. When he got back he smelled coffee and blinked when he found Lori sipping coffee at the table. "Morning." he blinked at her glare. "hangover?" he smirked earning a deeper glare. "Alright sorry." he held up his hands in defeat and poured himself a cup making sure to be as quiet as possible.

(You are fine, I found someone to talk to which is brightening my mood and inspiration)

Tony had gone to bed that night since there wasn't much left to do. What no one knew was that the robot was actually recording everything within the tower without Jarvis detecting it yet. It seemed rather advance even for a super computer to notice right off the bat. Tony didn't drink last night, but he sure wished he had even though he had plenty of sleep for the first time in awhile. Waking up wearing nothing, it was more comfortable that way for him to sleep; he pulled on his boxers and a pair of pajama pants that were dark red with gold going down the sides of them. Stretching he left his room to go to the kitchen to get some coffee even though he craved to go back to sleep for more hours. "Well this is a surprise to see you up so bright and early Lori, Steve." he nodded to Steve knowing it was no surprise that he was up that early. Tony poured himself some coffee straight, he didn't care for any creamer or sugar, no point in adding that to a cup of perfectly blended brew.

Rose had slept in the infirmary that night finding that her clothes were torn and dirty. What was she going to wear? There had to be something other than an over sized t shirt that she was currently wearing which was a deep blue and not the color she wanted to wear. However, it was better than nothing; Rose found a pair of socks left for her, but she didn't put them on. Rose came downstairs to find the others already there. A good looking gentlemen with dark hair was teasing the girl who looked like she wanted to hit someone or something. The blonde, which was Steve she remembered his name and his blue eyes, was getting glared at by the girl as well. "What do we have here?" her red hair was tousled a bit since she hadn't straightened it. She had forgotten to braid it last night before sleeping.

"Good morning Rose." Steve greeted the girl. "I'll make breakfast for everyone." he went to make breakfast. "Nothing is happening. Just that Miss Lori has a slight hangover from her over drinking last night." he ducked to avoid the spoon Lori threw at him. "Better be quiet or she'll try to kill you."

Lori glared at him harder. "Do you think you'll set on fire if I glare hard enough?" she growled then groaned. "Fudge." she whined and rubbed her temples. "Everything hurts.'' she pouted a little.

Rose wondered if there was going to be bacon in this breakfast meal as well. She loved bacon, but wasn't as obsessed with it as others were. "Oooh will there be bacon?" Rose asked sounding more like a kid wanting a toy as she walked over sitting down at the table. She already knew how to cook so instead of just sitting there without drinking coffee since it wasn't really her fortay. She stood up walking over to Steve "Want some help?" she offered wondering what he was going to make.

Tony walked over to Lori shaking his head giving her a new refill cup of coffee. Standing behind her he began massaging her neck shoulders knowing how a massage would feel with a hangover. Pepper would always do this for him after a hangover that was too much for him, so he knew it worked wonders for him. However, Lori was her own person so however it would work would depend if he would get hit or not.

Natasha came downstairs wearing a baggy, navy blue, t- shirt which was Banner's and her own pair of socks. Banner was wearing pajama pants that were dark green and slippers on his feet that matched. He had his arm around her waist when they came out of the elevator and sat down with two cups of coffee. "So what's this morning's topic?" Banner asked.

"I had thought of making bacon but if you want some I'll make it." Steve smiled getting the ingredients ready for breakfast. "Your the guest here. Make yourself comfortable while I make breakfast." he glanced over as Nat and Bruce walked in smirking when he noticed Nat was wearing one of Bruce's smirk. "Well there's nothing to really talk about." he wasn't sure if Rose could be trusted with the info of the Fire Stone.

Lori froze when Tony touched her shoulders then blushing sighed softly sinking against the table in relaxation. She glared when the couple loudly moved there chairs around but focused on Tony's hand which was roaming over her shoulders and neck. She felt herself drifted into a zone of relaxation, her concentration faded and her coffee started to bubble as her hand heated it up. She heard a soft voice calling her and shook herself scrambling away taking deep breaths.

Rose shrugged sitting down after pouring herself a glass of orange juice figuring maybe she could get some clothes after all this is over with. Though that would mean she would have to go home and get her clothes. Some what of an easy task for her as long as SHIELD stayed away from her. She also wanted to grab a few things if she was going to be here, but wondered what would the point of it be?

Yes she knew her task very well, get close, get the information, and crush them. She really wondered what everyone was like and if this was a bad idea. She hated SHIELD not the Avengers. There was a huge difference in what they believed in. Rose' eyes glanced up after Tony looked away, she could always tell when someone was watching her or not. Then she glanced away trying not to smile at the view in front of her (Staring at Steve as he cooked) as she took a sip of her juice then made a face. The juice had sugar. She wasn't diabetic, but didn't know too much about sugar and how it could make someone feel.

Tony continued massaging her until she appearently shook herself a bit. He leaned down to her ear in case not wanting the others to notice who were oblivious to the situation at hand. "Are you okay?" he wondered if he should ask or not if she wanted to talk about it. Then his eyes shifted over to Rose who appeared harmless, though he didn't believe that at all. Tony kept his hands on her shoulders as if for reassurance.

"I'm fine." Lori took a deep breath and ran a hand threw her hair. "Nothing I can't handle." The slight shake of her hands told a different story but her eyes sparked with determination. "Why is she up and about anyways?" she glanced at the girl then to Steve. "We aren't just going to let a stranger roam around the tower picking up information are we?"

Steve sighed a little and shook his head. "Lori I know the argument but right know she's a guest until we can figure out are next step." he placed the food on the table careful to not make any loud noises having gotten use to Tony's hangovers he was a expert. "She isn't a threat right this very second surrounded by all of us." he added. "Let's just talk."

"Don't worry, after this I'll be going home for clothes, I can't just leave my baby girl all by herself." Rose said hearing the girl, she would have gotten up sooner, but the food was placed in front of her. She really did love breakfast no matter what part of the day it was. Rose could feel the negativity from the distrust this was going to be harder and more annoying than she thought. Then again she kind of expected this from everyone and what she expected wound up happening. She had her plate as she instantly first went for the bacon then the eggs.

"Easy now Lori, Steve is right. She is a guest, we'll have plenty of time to talk later." Tony patted her shoulders sitting down next to her with his coffee. The look in Tony's eyes meant he didn't trust Rose either, even with Natasha and Banner, they agreed. Tony whispered something to Lori "Don't worry, just relax, we've been through this before. We won't talk about it while she is around."

About fifteen minutes of silent eating on her end she figured it wasn't worth it as she finished her food. "I'm going home to change clothes and check on my baby girl. I'll come back later when you guys contact me and I know you can. I don't know much about that machine last night, but be careful. I thought I took one down yesterday and the only way to fully stop it is to destroy it." With that Rose walked through the room to the large front door saying "Good bye Jarvis, nice to meet you." she smiled whispering something to Jarvis about being safe around the machine. She had spent her night mostly talking to Jarvis since she could and gotten to know the computer. He was really the only one that trusted her.

"Well that was odd, who was she?" Natasha asked not remembering everything about last night with how bad her hangover and pleasant time was in the end.

"Sorry it's the hangover it's made me testier then normal." Lori sighed running a hand threw her hair. "It's the fire stone I can feel it trying to get to me. Either I'm getting weaker or it's getting closer." she shook her head. "If you want I can try to tape into it to find it if you don't go anywhere." she looked to Tony swallowing nervously.

Steve blinked and joined them at the table sighing a little. "That was Rose we save her last night remember? Are you sure you want to risk that Lori?"

"It's her choice Steve, either way we need to find it soon, and fast. If the teseract cube was powerful enough to open a wormhole with technology combined. Then I'm not sure I want to see what this fire stone does." Tony spoke as Thor entered the room "It can cause nothing but devastation and destruction if we do not obtain it, quickly. In the wrong hands it could destroy everything you know and love dear."

Rose walked home the way she was, it was early enough that no body was up yet, and she was quite glad. That was until she noticed others following her, she wasn't a fan of SHIELD and remembered the past. Her eyes narrowed not liking this, being alone out here with SHIELD agents. Damn she should have thought about that before leaving the freaking mansion like building.

"Now let's see what you can do child" a voice off in a very deep cave far, far away said while watching the computer screens in front of him. If she wouldn't join him then he would have to MAKE her see that he was her only ally.

Lori nodded and took a deep breath. She closed her eyes and let her mind go blank as a thin line of fire raced over her form as she focused on nothing a voice entered her mind. "Yes child that's right open yourself to be." the fire stone's power urged her the voice was soft and soothing as it guided her closer to it's source. Outside her mind her body had frozen and the fire had turned a up a notch.

Steve blinked and frowned at the fire. "Do you think she's alright?" he asked nervously. He didn't expect anyone to know the answer but he had to ask since he felt kind of useless.

The only reason why Rose had said no to the man because she found out he wanted to kill off the Avengers. She didn't like SHIELD either though so she wouldn't trust them. Before she got to her small place that she lived in, she noticed too many people standing around it, and wondered what was going on. Then it occurred to her as she turned to leave bumping into 'Nick Fury' she knew exactly who he was and didn't want anything to do with him. "Hello there, you seem lost." Fury spoke in a not so caring, mono toned voice.

The last time they tried to capture her she was put in a room of nothing, but white walls. That sort of made her freak out which is how she got away for the first time. "Excuse me" she tried to walk away from him, but he grabbed her wrist. This made her think of all those movies girls were grabbed by the wrist and taken away. Let go she thought, not that she could speak minds, but the nature around her quickly grabbed everyone around. Wrapping them up in vines from trees and plants around including Nick Fury. She dashed off blending into nature knowing the only real way to find her was through burning all the nature around her, but that would be a terrible idea.

"Well she isn't screaming yet, so I would say she is fine..." Tony said waiting to see what would happen next, but not sure if he would like the result of this or not. What was so bad about this fire stone? He looked up information and the only person who would know anything would be Thor. Though, then again Thor himself was speechless at this time now that everyone was in the room. Tony watched intently already having Jarvis record this in different ways to be able to study later.

"Why do you fight me child?" The stone caressed her mind making her sigh. "Just let go." Lori nodded and started to lower her defense's. Her fire which had been blazing around her began to dim but just before it vanished it transformed into a hit white light that roared to life setting the table on fire.

Banner quickly pulled Natasha back away from the table watching the others move almost in unison as the fire came out of no where. "Hey hey hey, come on. Not the table." it was an antique table he didn't think that anyone would ruin it by catching it on fire. Maybe he should have bought the fireproof one instead of this one. Tony quickly pulled Lori out of her chair away from the fire, even if her element would be fire, he didn't know if she could be harmed by it, but better safe than sorry. Jarvis activated the sprinkler system, but only over the table itself not getting others wet luckily. "Lori" Tony sighed hoping she would snap out of it before lighting something else on fire, hopefully not himself.

With a chocking gasp Lori's eyes flew open and she stared at Tony eyes wild with terror. "I'm never doing that again." she leaned against Tony breathing hard trying to calm her beating heart and her fast breathing. When the fire was out it revealed a map of Europe with one deep burn mark near Scotland.

Steve blinked at the map. "I...don't...that's amazing and terrifying." he studied the map. "It seems like the stone is there. It must really want Lori to find it. That may not be a good thing." he glanced at the others frowning a little.

(sorry for late and shortness. Crazy 40 hrs each week, watching a kid, going nuts, overworking myself, getting sick, being in depression, overly tired.)

Tony watched Lori with concern in his eyes as he held onto her not letting go so easily. She was scared over what had happened, he shouldn't have asked her to do such a thing, but then again he was Tony. What was done was done and couldn't be taken back now. "Looks like it worked" Tony said watching Banner get close to the map making sure it wouldn't start up out of no where again. "Apparently this stone is in Scottland" "We don't have a choice Cap, we have to find the stone before anyone else. Besides Lori might just be the person able to control it when the time comes." hopefully that time wouldn't come.

"Your right for a change. We don't have much choice though I don't like the idea of letting Lori touch the stone we'll have to see what happens." Steve sighed a little crossing his arms over chest. "Who wants to go?"

"Will you come Tony?" Lori asked looking up at him. "I think Bruce should stay here. The stone is a delicate thing...sorry Bruce." she looked at Bruce looking apologetic.
