Steve nodded. "Sure, sounds good." He said.
Gemini looked around. "I think you give it to the guy behind the counter. This is different from a laundromat, so I'm not entirely sure, but I think they take care of it for you and you can come back to get it later." |
Tony nodded and handed the suit over taking the ticket. "That was easy." he grinned.
Aurora found a place selling hot dog and nodded. "Want to have hot dogs?" |
Gemini smiled. "There you go. Now we can either wait here, or leave and come back another time. I suggest leaving, since it takes a while." She said.
Steve nodded. "Sure, I like hot dogs." He said, heading for the hot dog vendor. |
"OK." Tony nodded and lead the way. "You want to drive?" he asked pausing next to the car.
Aurora bought them there food loading hers with ketchup. "There good." she sounded surprised. |
"Er..." Gemini scratched the back of her head. "I actually don't know how to drive." She'd never needed to, living with her parents or even living alone.
Steve took a bite of his and made an appreciative sound. "They are good." He agreed, surprised. "It's been a long while since I've had one this good." |
"Well I'll teach you then." Tony slid into the passenger side. "Just promise to try not to run into anything or anyone."
|
Gemini bit her lip, nervous but excited. "Are you sure? I've never even tried, I don't want to mess anything up." She said uncertainly, even as she slid into the driver's seat. She wanted to learn, badly.
|
"Just go easy." Tony smiled at her.
"lets get home." Aurora yawned. |
"Easy. Right." Gemini let out a slow breath. "Okay, what do I do first?"
"Sure." Steve said, putting an arm around her. |
"First buckle up. Then start the car." Tony buckled smiling a little.
Aurora blushed and stuck close to him sighing happily. She lead the way to her apartment and headed inside pulling him down onto the couch. |
Gemini blushed slightly. "Right." She buckled herself and started the car- easy enough. "Okay, now what?"
Steve laughed lightly as he was pulled down with Aurora, landing next to her with a smile. He paused for a moment, then kissed her. |
Tony began to explain how to drive the car opening the garage door. "Alright ease it out."
Aurora blushed and kissed him back clinging to him. |
Gemini did as she was told, though she had a good bit of trouble. Once she got the hang of it, though, she did well.
((Skip, or...?)) |
((Sure but to what?))
|
((Um...er...jeez Wolfie has no clue. Do you have any ideas?))
|
((Well we could do Civil War))
|
((Ooh, there's an idea...and maybe, just for the purpose of relationship drama, our characters can take the side opposite their boyfriends?))
|
((excellent))
Tony was staring at his reflection in the mirror as the news player in the background. He knew he should have gone with Steve to Africa to track down Rumblow but he had been busy and now a whole building had been toasted. He couldn't blame Wanda if she hadn't done What she had they would have lost Steve and thousands more but still. He ran a hand threw his hair and made a phone call. Aurora was sitting staring at the tv her heart hurting for Wanda and for the people effected. |
((Can't find full script, just gonna wing it))
Steve sighed, troubled by everything that had happened. What were they going to do? Once again, they were the center of a media circus, and it wasn't good. Steve blamed himself. Gemini hit the punching bag in front of her. Hard. She'd decided she wanted to join up with the Avengers. She wanted to help. But she was still training- she wasn't allowed to actually help yet. Another punch- this time leaving a hole in the punching bag. Damn, that was the fifth one. |
Aurora blinked as Tony came downstairs. "I see you heard." she knew by the look on her face.
"I did...I need to signal the others." Tony went to his computer and typed in a message sent out to all Avengers to assemble for a team meeting. "We are in so much trouble." he sighed. |
Steve was forced out of his thoughts when the message came through. Sighing lightly, he got up to heed the call. There was no way this would be good.
After destroying yet another punching bag, Gemini decided to stop for the day. She went to get some water, and saw everyone gathering. Uh-oh... She joined the group. |
When they gt to the meeting room Tony was sitting in a corner. "Guys this is Senator Ross...he's here to well you'll find out." Ross smiled at them. "The world owes the Avengers an unpayable debt. You've... fought for us.Protected us.Risked your lives. While a great many people see you as heroes. There are some...would prefer the word "vigilantes."
"And what word would you use, Mr. Secretary?" Aurora frowned at him. "How about "Dangerous?"" Ross glanced at her briefly. "What would you call a group of US-based, enhanced individuals, who routinely ignores sovereign borders and inflict their will wherever they choose and who, frankly, seem unconcerned about what they leave behind them." he turned to the screen behind him which was showing pictured of the damage they had done. "New York, Washington DC., Sokovia, Lagos. For the past 4 years, you operated with unlimited power and no supervision. That's an arrangement the governments of the world can no longer tolerate. But I think we have a solution. The Sokovia accords." he tossed a large book onto the table. "Approved by 117 countries. It states, that the Avengers shall no longer be a private organization. Instead, they'll operate under the supervision of a United Nations Panel, only when and if that Panel deems it necessary." he fell silent letting that sink in. |
Well, he'd been right. It wasn't good. "The Avengers were formed to make the world a safer place. I feel we've done that." He spoke up.
Gemini's ears lowered. The tension was building, and she could tell things were about to go bad. She didn't like where this was going at all. |
Ross's smile was full of venom. "Tell me captain, do you know where Thor and Banner are right now? If I misplaced a couple of 30 mega tonne nukes, you can bet there'd be consequences. Compromise. Reassurance. That's how the world works. Believe me, this is the middle ground. So, there are contingencies 3 days from now, the UN meets in Vienna to ratify the Accords. So, talk it over. If you don't want to sign then you retire." he headed out leaving them to talk.
|
As soon as Ross left, the argument broke out. It seemed like the team was split down the middle.
"So, let's say we agree to this thing. How long is it gonna be before they lo-jack us like a bunch of common criminals?" Sam spoke up first. "117 countries want to sign this. 117, Sam, and you're just like, "No, it's cool."" Rhodey argued. "How long are you going to play both sides?" Sam snapped. "I have an equation." Vision interrupted. "Oh, this will clear it up." Came Sam's sarcastic reply. Vision continued as if uninterrupted. "In the 8 years since Mr. Stark announced himself as Iron Man, the number of noted enhanced persons has grown exponentially. And during the same period, the number of potentially world-ending events has risen at a commissive rate." "Are you saying it's our fault?" Steve asked. "I'm saying there maybe a causality. Our very strength invites challenge. Challenge incites conflict. And conflict... breeds catastrophe. Oversight. Oversight is not an idea that could be dismissed out-of-hand." Vision answered. "Boom." Sam muttered. "Tony, you're being uncharacteristically non-hyper verbal." Gemini decided to pitch in. "That's because he's already made up his mind." Steve said. |
