Ember giggled and skipped away then yelped as the building exploded in flames. "Oh she came out to play!"

Tony gasped and headed for the rubble he found Aurora standing in a ring of flames with a untouched Gemini next to her. "Are you ok?" he asked Gemini going to help her. Aurora growled and blasted him. "Ow! Hey!" Tony frowned glad he had his suit on.

Steve flinched at the blast of heat, but went towards it anyway. "Aurora?" He spoke uncertainly. "Aurora, it's us." His eyes widened. "Or...is it Cress?"

Gemini huffed. "Yeah, I'm alright. Actually, she just stopped something even worse from happening." She said. She gasped as Tony was blasted. "Aurora, what was that for?"

"It's Cress." Ember stepped closer. "oh how perfect." she grinned. Her father emerged from the debris. "Lets go Cress." Cress frowned as Ember held out her hand. "Come child." her father smirked. "Yes papa." Cress went to grab Embers hand.

"What? No! Cress snap out of it!" Tony cursed.

Steve lurched forward and grabbed Cress' hand. "Cress, don't leave. Please. Don't you know us? Don't you know me?"

"Cress no!" Gemini cried. "You can't go!"

Cress stared at there hands frown deepening. "Steve?" she blinked. "Oh hell no! You did not just control me!" she glared at her father. "It would be easier if you had just agreed to come with in the first place." he scowled. "Now come along." her eyes dimmed from there usual sparkling red to a dull red. She looked confused as she looked from Steve to her father scowling.

Steve gripped her hand tighter. "Don't let him tell you what to do!" He said.

Gemini stepped in between Cress and her father, her eyes glowing again. "You leave her alone. You have no right to control her."

"She belong with us!" Tony joined Gemini.

Cress blinked then smiled. On the inside Aurora stood with Cress and grinned "They really love us." Cress nodded in agreement. "We have to protect them." Aurora held out her hand. "Together." Cress grinned and took her hand. "No one can beat us." On the outside she was glowing white "I will not let you control me!" she opened her eyes. One was fire red and the other pink. She blasted fire letting it part around Tony and Gemini slamming her sister and father. "No one messes with my friends."

Gemini gasped slightly at the intense heat of the flames. Even though she knew it wouldn't hurt them, she still pulled Tony close just in case.

Steve smiled proudly, still holding her hand. He stepped up to stand next to her, presenting a unified front.

Tony blinked as the flames died. "That was great!" he grinned.

"Thanks." Cress smirked and shook her hands out. From the smoke her sister and father appeared unharmed. "Crap." she growled. "My powers don't work against them."

"Then maybe we can help." Steve said. "Do we have permission to beat up your father and sister?"

Gemini listened for the answer, looking eager.

Cress took a breath and then nodded. "Yes you can beat them up."

Tony smirked. "Perfect " his mask slid back down as he blasted them. Ember threw up her hands then gasped as the blast struck her. "Sorry but my beams aren't fire." he smirked though no one could see it.

Steve dashed forward and went straight for the father, launching a volley of kicks and punches his way.

Deciding to help Steve, Gemini ran forward as well, her speed making her just a blur. She came from behind and went for the father's neck, slashing with her claws.

Cress used her powers to keep them from getting crisped. Her father growled and dodged Steve cursing when Gemini got him. "Ember!" he glanced at the girl who took his hand and with a huge blast of fire vanished with her. It was all Cress could do to keep them from dying. She cursed as she shook her burnt hands trying to hide them.

Gemini stopped in her tracks, growling out a curse. She looked up at Cress. "Sorry. We couldn't get them."

Steve walked back over to Cress and spotted her hands before she could hide them. "Oh my God, are you okay?" He asked, gently grabbing her wrists so he could look closer. "We should get some burn cream on these."

"Its fine. I'm sure they show back up and I'm fine. Hurts a little but nothing I can't handle." Cress assured Steve.

Tony sighed and signaled Friday to get a car. "It is not fine. You can handle it but Aurora can't." he shook his head. "Your only human Cress."

"We'll still get it taken care of, just to be sure." Steve insisted.

"Alright alright." Cress rolled her eyes then blinked as a car appeared. "Your cars drive themselves...why does that not surprise me?" she chuckled.

"Hey I didn't want you to walk all the way." Tony smiled at her.

"It's convenient, at least." Gemini said.

Steve nodded. "Let's get out of here."

Tony stepped out of his suit and set it home ahead of them. He opened the door for Gemini "Hey why take the subway when I can have Friday bring my car." he grinned. "I would never go down there. To many people and to much can go wrong."

Cress slid into the back flinching a little. She had a couple more burns on her body but they didn't need to know about them.

"Is it really that bad?" Gemini asked as she slid into the car.

"Yes." Steve answered immediately, tucking himself in next to Cress. "If it's anything like it was back in the day, it's that bad and worse."

"Its worse then worse." Tony made a face. "People pee down there and there are rats. It's disgusting."

Cress grimaced. "Can we not get graphic?"

Gemini scrunched up her nose, her ears going flat. "Gross." She said.

"Let's talk about something else." Steve suggested.

Tony smirked a little. "Sorry." he chuckled. "But you did ask." he shrugged driving them home. "How about we talk about Cress and the fact that she has more injuries then her hands."

Cress glared at him then shrugged. "I'm perfectly fine...besides my hands which don't hurt they just feel weird."

"Fine? You've been moving like your clothes are full of spikes." Steve said. [B]"You're hurt pretty badly. And even if you don't feel the pain, Aurora will. Cress, please just let us take care of you. Both of you."

Cress blushed softly. "I don't want to be a burden plus I'm not use to people wanting to take care of me. Aurora is fine as long as I'm in charge she's not going to feel it." she shrugged. "All I need is some burn cream and a bath."
