"Sir, these are Irene and Clara." Jarvis finally turned his attention back to the two ladies. "They are here to assist you."

"What?" Tony turned around and blinked at the two. "Where did you two come from?"

"We came in a few minutes ago," Irene said with a faint smirk. "Jarvis let us in." She was watching Tony, waiting for any tell-tale sign of magic from him.

"And who are you?" Tony asked. "Where did you come from?" He gave them a bit of a sideways look. "Did Strange send you?"

"Jarvis already said, elsewhere in the city, and yes," Irene answered in order. "And we're already here interrupting your work, so you may as well take a break and talk to us."

"Nope, this thing is not going to happen, I'm too busy for this right now," Tony said. He turned back to his work bench. "These prototypes are not going to build themselves."

"Well, they could," Irene drawled. "With a little help. But apparently you're rather averse to that."

"Yeah, no, that's not a thing that is happening, not in my workshop, and this," Tony added, gesturing from himself to them, "this is also not happening, I can handle myself, sorry you came all this way for nothing."

"Really? You can handle magic by yourself with no practice?" Irene raised an eyebrow at him. "I know you aren't fond of magic, but Strange wouldn't have asked us to come if he thought you had everything well in hand."

"I'm fine," Tony insisted, a little hotly. "Really, I can look after myself, I'm totally, perfectly--" Three of the lights in the workshop promptly went out, bulbs bursting.

"That doesn't look so fine to me," Clara commented after a beat of silence.

"Yeah, that's not fine," Irene agreed. "Look, obviously we can't make you cooperate, but unless you want things like this to keep happening when you're angry or excited..."

Tony scowled and turned away. He still didn't want to admit that he might have magic, but it seemed like he had no choice.

"Fine," he growled. "What do I have to do?"

"First off, you have to stop growling at us, it's not our fault," Irene said, quirking an eyebrow at him. "And then we'll work on control."

"Just tell me what I have to do so I can get back to work," Tony replied, already moving back over towards his workbench.

Irene sighed. "Unfortunately it's not that easy," she said. "It'll take a bit of practice." She followed him in a little ways, though she was looking around curiously.

"Whatever it is, I'm sure I'll get it quickly, just tell me what to do," Tony said. He glanced at them. "And why are there two of you, anyways?"

"We work well together, we have different specialties," Irene said with a shrug. "So what one of us can't teach you, the other can. Also, it's really nice to have two people to contain accidents."

"Speaking from experience?" Tony snarked as he glanced between the two of them. He couldn't deny that he'd cause some pretty spectacular 'accidents' in his day, though.

"Oh definitely." Irene grinned. "If I had a penny for every tantrum or accident averted..."

"So?" he asked, glancing at them. "How does this work?"

Irene reached out with a tendril of magic and poked him. "Feel that?"

Tony yelped and jumped, and a pile of papers blew off of a work space and into the air.

"What the hell was that?" he demanded, his voice higher than usual.

"What," Tony repeated, "was that?" He looked a bit freaked out, a the table rattled ominously.

"That was just my magic," Irene said soothingly. "Take a deep breath." But she shifted a bit so she and Clara both had a clear view of the table in case they had to intervene.
