Aurora put her head on his shoulder, closing her eyes. She wasn't sure if she would be able to relax, but he at least made her feel safe.

Bucky gathered her up gently, pulling her close.

"Just settle in," he murmured to her. He moved them so they were both laying on her bed, with him between her and the rest of the room.

Steve pulled her closer, and then just pulled her into his lap so he could get his arms around her and keep her half-hidden.

Reilly blinked at the move but didn't protest. Instead she just curled up closer to him.

Aurora cuddled closer, hiding her face against his shoulder. Her fingers tightened on his arms as she finally just started crying.

Bucky pulled her close as she curled up, just holding her.

"Let me know if there's anything you want," he murmured to her. "Anything at all."

Steve rubbed her back, petting her hair and holding her close. He didn't try to stop her, just letting her get it all out.

Reilly nodded a bit. "Just... stay for a while?" she murmured.

"I can do that," Bucky murmured, still holding her close. "I've got you."

Reilly let out a slow breath, relaxing a little finally. She hid her face against Bucky's shoulder and just tried to relax.

Bucky just held her as long as she needed. He didn't need to sleep, so he just stayed there with her, keeping watch and making sure she had what she needed to relax and start to recover.

Reilly didn't sleep much that night, but she did stay curled into him all night. She did eventually get up after dawn, red-eyed and sleep deprived.

Bucky just stayed there with her all night, holding her close.

Aurora had eventually cried herself out and dozed a little with Steve, but the sleep was fitful and intermittent. She eventually gave up as the sun came up and just laid there, awake.

Reilly got up and started making coffee a little after sunrise, poking around the pantry while she waited on the coffee.

Steve started rubbing her back again once he knew she was awake, though he made no move to get up.

"Sounds like Reilly's up," he told her. "Do you want to get up?"

Aurora thought about it for a moment.

"Not yet," she murmured. "Just-- no. Not yet."

Bucky followed Reilly into the kitchen, leaning against the wall just inside the doorway and letting her do her thing.

Steve nodded. "Then we'll stay here," he murmured, holding her a little tighter.

Reilly took her cup of coffee, doctored it the way she wanted, and then walked over to go lean on Bucky and sip her coffee.

Aurora snuggled close to him, taking comfort in the fact that he was there with her.

Bucky put an arm around her and held her as she drank her coffee.

"Feel any better?" he asked quietly.

Steve pretty much just wrapped himself around her, content to lay there for however long she wanted.

"A bit." Reilly shrugged carefully. "Not a ton, but."

"A little is better than nothing," Bucky said, just holding her. "It's alright, there's no rush to suddenly be better."

Reilly sighed and nodded, settling in closer to him. She hooked one arm around his waist, still being careful not to spill any of her coffee on him.

"You don't actually like coffee, do you." It had literally just occurred to her.

"I used to," Bucky replied. "I mean, y'know, before. I still don't mind the smell."

"Well, you don't have to drink it, but I'm not giving up my coffee." Reilly made a bit of a face at the thought.

Bucky gave her a crooked little grin.

"Oh trust me, you can have all the coffee you want, I won't stand in your way," he said.

"Good, because if you did things would get messy." Reilly actually smiled, though.

Bucky grinned.

"I used to take mine black with sugar," he said. "Probably still would, if I could."

"I can't do black," Reilly said, shaking her head a bit. "I don't need the sugar, but there has to be cream." She shuddered a bit.

"Army," Bucky said with a bit of a shrug. "Got used to doing without cream when there wasn't a whole lot. Didn't really get the chance to get used to having it again."

Reilly paused. "Army?" She looked at him. "During which war?" Because this was a legitimate question, now.

Bucky hesitated just slightly and then just forged ahead.

"World War Two," he said. "Steve and I both."
