Cal shrugged, looking slightly irritated. "I guess I missed my calling. Alright, the aim is to make sure you two don't look related, so I'll be using different colors for you." He said to Rosemary as she sat down.

"That's fine with me." Rosemary said casually, waiting for him to start.

Lori stood aside still admiring how she looked contemplating keeping the look.

Alex glanced at Lori then focused on his brother.

Cal took out a new brush and a different container, and started on Rosemary. He used a mixture of dyes for her skin, then had her tilt her head back like he had with Lori. He dropped a different liquid into her eyes, then stepped back. "All set." He said.

Rosemary blinked a few times as she was told, then turned to look at her sister. "Well?" She asked anxiously. Her skin had changed to a light tanned hue with darker freckles here and there. Her eyes were almost black, and somehow looked more narrow than they actually were.

"You look great." Lori grinned.

"I agree though you looked better before." Alex turned pink. "Lets get going." he hurried away.

Rosemary blushed, though it was partially hidden by the makeup. "Right. Um. We should go before the rest of the caravan finds us here."

Cal raised an eyebrow, smirking slightly. "I've never seen him act like that before."

"he had better watch himself." Lori glowered following her sister. They caught up to the caravan with ease, they glanced at the brothers and them but didn't say much. Everyone was excited to reach the border at last. The guard post loomed ahead, Elliot was sitting on his horse watching the caravan approach.

As the guard post came into view, Cal pulled his hood up and hunched over, making a very convincing old man. He had even put on an old, tattered gray cloak and used a long stick to support himself. "Alex. You're my grandson. I'm very old and tired. Got it?" He whispered to his brother. The guard- Eliot specifically- had seen his face, but not Alex's. This way, they could avoid suspicion and never show Cal's face.

Rosemary became nervous and excited in equal measure as they neared the boarder. What if they were recognized? But they wouldn't be. They looked completely different. They were so close to being free, it took everything she had not to cry at the thought of it.

Alex nodded as they passed under Elliot stare. He let them pass a frown on his face as he studied the group.

Lori stepped over the invisible line separating the countries trying hard not to make a run for it. Once the forest hid them from view she jumped and whooped grabbing her sister in a fierce hug. "We did it!"

As they passed the guards, Rosemary broke into a cold sweat, feeling Elliot's gaze on them. By the time they had passed out of sight, she felt ready to faint. Lori's excitement snapped her out of it, and she smiled huge and laughed. "We made it! We're free!" She said, jumping up and down.

Cal smirked slightly at the spectacle of the two sister's celebrating. "I hate to break this up, but we can't celebrate just yet. You're not safe this close to the boarder. We need to keep moving and make sure we aren't followed." That guard, Eliot, didn't seem like the type to give up so easily.

Lori nodded and lead the way following the caravan. She began to sing a song, one they had learned at there mothers knee and that every one in there country knew. Soon others began to pick up the song and instruments where pulled out of wagons.

Rosemary laughed and started to sing along. Though she had never been much for singing, she was in such a good mood that she just had to join in.

Not wanting to draw attention to himself, Cal walked a bit more slowly than everyone else, keeping to the back of the caravan. Still, when the song started up, even he couldn't help humming along.

Alex laughed and joined in spinning Rose in a circle.

Lori frowned a little at there dancing but left it alone happy to see her sister having fun. Soon the group began to split up, some where heading further into the land while the rest where heading for already started colonies.

"Where are we going?" Alex asked keeping his hand in Rose's.

"I actually hadn't thought that far ahead." Lori admitted. She hadn't even thought they would make it this far.

"And it will be far away from the border. You two can go wherever." Lori glanced at them.

"I want to go with you two." Alex admitted.

"Why?" Lori frowned then blinked as Alex turned bright red.

"This was...part of the reason we came back to find you." Cal spoke up, trying his best not to blush. "We both decided...that we want to start over. And you two are...the reason we made that decision."

Realizing what they were trying to say, Rosemary blushed so brightly it could be seen through her makeup. She took a step towards Alex and took his hand. "I want you to come, too."

"Well I don't." Lori scowled darkly. ''We still can't trust you. I would rather just have my sister who I trust." She was completely missing the hidden meaning behind Cal's words.

Alex blinked looking deflated and annoyed.

Cal sighed, not knowing what else to say. For all he was good with words when he was acting, he had no idea how to express himself when he was being truthful.

Rosemary spun around. "Lori, that's not fair. They went through a lot of trouble just to help us escape. They didn't have to. And you're not the only one making decisions here. You can't just say no and ignore my opinion."

"Then you can go with them." Lori scowled. "And they may have helped us but there still criminals who tried to catch us and sell us back to are parents."

Alex flinched and looked away she sure was stubborn but she was right.

Rosemary opened her mouth to argue, but realized that she had no argument for that. She sighed, defeated. "That's not..."

"Alright, never mind. Forget it. We'll go our own way." Cal interrupted. "We don't want to cause any more trouble."

Lori nodded and walked off head held high a stubborn look in her eyes.

Alex pouted. "I don't want to leave you." he mumbled squeezing Rose's hand.

"That could work...until they kill us for running away." Alex shuddered a little. "it could be worth it. Are you willing to take the risk of permanent damage?"
