Gemini looked up, blinking at the sunlight. "Yeah, I guess we did." She was used to pulling all-nighters, but it was still frustrating. "You gonna be okay going to work?" She was unemployed until her boss got a new restaurant built, so she didn't have much to do.

"Nope but I'll manage." Lori sighed and headed out looking like she would fall over at any second. She took the two hour train ride to Metropolis and struggled threw work. She spotted Clark as he come in to get her for there usual lunch date and decided to leave early heading home with a dark scowl on her face.

After Lori left, Gemini checked around to see if there was any food. Not surprisingly, there was very little. Since she had nothing else to do, she decided to go out and buy some groceries.

Lori collapsed at Gemini's waking only when her phone buzzed. She groaned and stared at the message sighing when she saw it was from Clark. She ignored it and checked her other phone blinking when she saw that a villain was nearby. She hadn't invented the thing but it came in handy when she wasn't at home to check her supercomputer.

Gemini walked at a leisurely pace, not in any particular hurry. There was a lot to buy, but she only had a few bags with her. Luckily, the market she went to made deliveries, so the rest of their groceries would be there before nightfall.

Lori sighed when she noticed that one of the suicide squad had texted her. She left Gemini a note and went to talk to them. She smiled at Deadshot and Killer Croc. "Hey guys." She greeted already dressed in her costume. "We found the person who killed Harl's but we can't take him lone." Deadshot said in way of greeting. "I'll help." Lori didn't even hesitate if she got the chance she would kill that person. She left with them in search of her sisters murder smiling when she realized the others wanted to end this man as much as she did. All they could do was hope that Batman or one of the other hero's didn't stop them.

Gemini got home and placed the few groceries she had down. Seeing Lori's note, she read it quickly and texted Lori, asking what they were doing. If her suspicion was correct, she had to catch up to them.

Lori heard the phone ding and thinking it was Clark ignored it as she studied the persons M.O. sighing softly. "A water type fighter lovely." she had to be careful with her power type this could be bad...plus she was terrified of water. She had always been she blamed it on the fact that water made her useless. "Do we know where he's going to be?" "we think so." Croc growled. "Here." he pointed to a building that held weapons. "It fits his pattern so far." Lori agreed then she noticed a Wayne warehouse with the same calling card. "You guys check out that building I want to check out the Wayne building." "alright." Deadshot frowned. "Come on." he lead the team off. Lori glanced at her phone before she left and with a smirk texted Gemini to meet her downtown at the Wayne warehouse.

Gemini waited anxiously until her phone went off with a reply from Lori. Reading it, she quickly headed out. She could get to where Lori was in just minutes.

Lori watched the building then grinned when she saw a figure appear from the shadows. "Its him." she jumped down and pulled her sword free attacking the man with force. He gasped in surprise then laughed. "I see another good guy has discovered me. It doesn't matter like the fool before you, you'll die." he gestured and a sword made of water appeared. He started to fight her "I'm impressed your better then that clown." "Don't talk about her!" Lori raged her sword slicing threw the wayer and missing him by inches. "Oh did I touch a cord." he laughed. The fight escalated greatly and Lori was working hard to avoid getting to wet.

Luckily, Gemini showed up just in time. While the water-user was distracted with Lori, she crept up behind him, knives drawn. Without hesitation, she pounced, attacking the man.

The man yelled and met her attack with a blast of water. "Think you can stop me." he turned to Lori and with a gesture intrapped her in a bubble of water. It lifted over there heads "If you attack she'll drown if you make me drop her she'll die." he smirked.

Inside the bubble Lori was panicking it was her worst nightmare come to life she was going to drown. Her powers failed her as she panicked, heart racing and mind going blank. She thought of Harley who she might be joining soon she thought it would be kind of nice to run around in hell with her little sister.

Gemini smirked. "You have no idea who you're dealing with, buddy." She said, raising a hand. As she did so, the water bubble shook and shuddered until, inside, an air bubble appeared around Lori. "How many elements can you control? Just one?" She sent a shock of lightening at the man. "Because I control all of them."

The man yelped and turned to fight her growling. Meanwhile Lori was throwing up the water she had swallowed her sword accidentally popped the bubble and she tumbled to the ground. She cushioned her fall with flames and stood breathing hard "Is that how you killed her?" her eyes turned bright blue as her flames turned pure white "I'll kill you!" she slammed him against the building forgetting that Bruce would have a alarm to go off if anything happened. She slammed the blade home letting him slid to the ground. "Burn in hell." she growled setting him on fire for good measure. She backed away looking very much like a avenging angel or a goddess as she stood there with a her sword glowing white with flames over it and her hair being lifted by the same flames. The rest of her was also covered in white flames all signs of the water she had almost drowned in was gone.

Gemini fought the man for a moment before suddenly, Lori appeared, wreathed in flames and kicking ass. Gemini jumped away as Lori fought and killed the man, watching with a shudder. "Remind me never to make you angry."

"I agree." The voice came from the shadows behind them, accompanied by a small object flying past and exploding, dousing the area in foam to put out the fire. Batman stepped forward quietly. "That was impressive, ladies."

Lori blinked and then smiled. "I'll remind you both then. You don't even start on your no killing monolog he deserved. He killed Harley he very nearly killed me." she shivered and then looked at her sword. "Whoa. Whoops." she took a few breaths and slowly the fire faded and her eyes returned to normal.

Though his face was hidden, they could almost feel the disapproval radiating off of him. Still, to his credit, he didn't try to lecture. "You should both get out of here. The police are on their way." He said. "Just this once, I'll look the other way."

"Good." Lori nodded she had been planning on knocking him out but she obviously didn't need to. She took Gemini's hand and lead the way calling Dead shoot to tell him she had handled the bad guy.

Once the girls left, Batman set about making the scene less obvious. He didn't want the police to trace this guy's death back to Lori, however small that chance may have been. So he made it look like anyone could have done it, and then disappeared as the sirens drew near.

"Thanks." Gemini addressed Batman before following Lori, getting the heck out of there. Once Lori was done on the phone, Gemini squeezed her hand. "Are you okay? Did you get hurt badly?" She asked.

"I'm fine." Lori shivered. "That's just say that water and I don't mix in any sense." she was avoiding the thought of being trapped in that bubble drowning.

Gemini nodded. She could imagine why that would be the case. "It's over now. He's dead. We can go home and relax for a while." She put a comforting arm around Lori's shoulders.

Lori opened her mouth and then closed it fast as Clark landed before them. "Lori thank goodness you left so fast yesterday I thought something had happened...why are you glaring at me?" he blinked.

Gemini automatically moved so that Lori was behind her. There was enormous danger for a city-wide fire in this situation. "You need to leave. Now." She told him. "Otherwise, I can't be responsible for what happens. Go on back to Lois, you cheating bastard."

"What are you...Oh." Clark paled. "How did you find out?" "I saw you kissing her Clark." Lori swallowed. "I'm so sorry Lori I was going to tell you the other day but then you found out your sister was dead and I didn't want to break your heart more. I know I should have told you but I didn't think you would find out like this." Clark sighed."Well I did and it's over between us Clark." Lori's lip wobbled. "Just go home." Clark nodded and flew off.

Gemini glared at Clark until she couldn't see him anymore. "He's lucky I spoke first instead of kicking him..." She mumbled. "Lori, are you alright?"
