Bruce shuffled his feet slightly. "Well, I was curious...I mean, I just wondered if..." He cleared his throat. What was he doing? He couldn't ask her out. She just broke up with Clark! Making a move now would be wrong. "I still have some questions about what happened earlier." He blurted out. "Ah, I mean...would you like to talk about it...maybe over coffee or something?" Oh God he'd asked. He'd just asked her out. She was going to think he was such a horrible pig.

"Your so cute." Lori laughed and reaching forward she took his glove off and got a sharpie. "Here meet me here tomorrow at noon. We can get some coffee and talk." she smiled up at him as she wrote the address on his hand.

Bruce hadn't known until that moment that it was possible for him to blush, but that's exactly what he did. "A-all right then." He stared at his hand where she was touching it. "I'll meet you tomorrow, then." After a moment, he cleared his throat. "Right, ah, I should probably get going. Let you get some rest. It's been a busy night. I look forward to seeing you tomorrow." He managed to put his professional face back on, though he was still blushing slightly, as he stood to go.

Lori noticed the blush and smiled. "Goodnight Bruce." she stood to see him out frowning as Athena darted out of her arms. "I'll see you tomorrow." her smile returned.

Bruce nodded, saying his goodbyes, and disappeared into the night.

Lori woke the next morning and took a shower. "Gemini breakfast time." she called as she made a batch of waffles and bacon to go with it.

The smell of food woke Gemini, but it was her curiosity that actually made her get up. She shuffled out and smiled at Lori. "Morning. So, what did Bruce want?" She asked, getting straight to the point.

"He wanted to go and have coffee to talk over what happened between you and Joker. Don't worry I'm not saying anything." Lori smiled at her. She placed the waffles on the table and settled down to eat. "I'm meeting him in a couple hours." she blushed.

Gemini squealed. "That's a date! He asked you out for coffee, I don't care what the topic of discussion is, that's totally a date!" She said, excited. "And honestly you can tell him whatever you want about me. Who knows, maybe he'll have some insight on how to squash my emotions."

"It is a date." Lori grinned then shook her head. "I've been hiding what I felt for Bruce and know I'm going on a date with him. It's not that simple."

"Why not? You like him, and obviously he likes you back because he asked you out." Gemini said, perplexed. "It's certainly easier than...whatever I've got going on."

"No I meant love isn't so easy to throw away. I tried when I went out with Clark I thought I could get over Bruce but it didn't work. Some time's the heart wants what the hearts want." Lori shrugged finishing her waffles. "I have a couple things to do then I need to do my hair before I leave."

Gemini fell into a thoughtful silence as she finished her breakfast. "Alright. I'll probably go out today to visit my boss and see if he'll rebuild the restaurant. I mean, if he doesn't, I'm out of a job."

"Good luck." Lori cleaned up did a few things then did her hair into loose curls and went to work. When nine o'clock come around she hurried to the cafe to wait for Bruce.

Gemini showered and got dressed, then headed out for the day. She had to catch a few buses just to get into Gotham, but decided to walk to her bosses house once she got into the city proper.

Lori glanced at the clock and smiled when she saw it was almost nine. "Any minute." she glanced at the door.

Bruce walked in at exactly nine o'clock, looking slightly nervous. He smiled when he spotted Lori and made his way over to her. "Good morning." He said.

'morning." Lori noticed several girls turning to look. "You have a few stalkers already." she joked nodding to the girls.

Someone who looked suspiciously like the Joker sat at a dunkin donuts drinking coffee.

Bruce rolled his eyes. "Sometimes I consider wearing a disguise when I go out." He said, with just the tiniest twitch of a smile. "Just ignore them- I've gotten pretty good at that."

Gemini spotted him and did a double take. Why was it that no one else seemed to notice this oddity? She shook her head. It didn't matter. She had to learn to stop thinking about him.

"Well you wear a disguise sometimes." Lori smiled. "Though I like it better when I can actually see your face." she blushed and stood. "I'll go get us food and coffee! What would like?"

Joker noticed her and gave her a wave before throwing his cup away.

Bruce blushed slightly and cleared his throat. "Ah...actually, let me get it. You can sit down." He said, trying to regain his composure by being a gentleman.

Gemini waved back, then noticed what she was doing and, distracted, slammed face-first into a pole. She fell back onto her ass, swearing up a storm.

Joker burst into laughter and went over staring down at her. "Walk much?" he joked holding his hand out.

"Oh alright. A hot coco with milk and a chocolate muffin please." Lori smiled sitting back down.

Gemini shot him a glare and accepted his help, brushing herself off. "I was distracted by the fact that a known villain was just standing in Dunkin' Donuts and no one else seemed to notice." She said.

"Coming right up." Bruce said with a slight bow before heading up to the counter. He waited in line, got their food and headed back to the table. "One hot coco with milk and one chocolate muffin." He said, placing in in front of her as he sat down. "And one black coffee for me."

"Black?" Lori smirked. "Help keep you awake?" she teased biting into her muffin. She knew it was a childish snack but she likes hot coco and chocolate.

Joker shrugged. "Sometimes you just want breakfast."

Bruce shrugged. "Late nights and early mornings, you know. I need to fire whoever schedules my meetings." He said with a small smirk.

"Yeah I get that, but...how the hell does no one else notice?" Gemini asked, looking around. "I think I'm starting to understand why the police are useless in this city. The whole populous are just morons."
