Lori laughed. "I'm sorry but there is no car better then Kit I mean it's the Knight Rider car. Yours is above Sam and Deans Impala from Supernatural though."

Bruce made a slightly disgruntled noise- like most men, he was sensitive about his car. "Fine, I'll take that. We're here." He said as he pulled up next to Gemini's building. "She's in apartment 113."

"Thank you again Bruce." Lori crushed him into a hug. "Your a great friend." she pulled away and gave him a smile before slipping away. She headed for the apartment but changed her mind and went to the roof. She sat staring at the star for a few seconds before she called Clark. She just said his name in barely a whisper but he appeared in his suit sporting a black eye.

Bruce shrugged awkwardly. "You're welcome." He said, and waited for her to go inside before driving away.

Lori cried in Clark's arms when she finished he carried her downstairs to Gemini's apartment. He knocked while adjusting his hold on his sleeping girlfriend. He was scowling darkly imagining all the things he would do to Joker if Bruce wouldn't have gotten in the way.

Gemini answered the door wearing only a towel, her hair dripping wet. "Oh, hi Superman. Come on in, set her down here." She moved and gestured to the couch, which was already made up. She didn't seem to care a single bit that he was there while she was nearly naked.

Clark turned a pink color and looked away as he set Lori on the couch. "My poor sunlight." he sighed and pushed hair from her face. "When she wakes she'll most likely demand to go clubbing and break out Pamela just to go." he smiled. "Her sister is dead." he swallowed. "I wish I could stay but I have a bad guy I need to finish beating up. "Just say my hero name if she gets worse."

Gemini went still. "Her sister, huh? That's difficult. I'll do my best to help her through it." She said nothing of breaking Ivy out, oddly enough. Then she turned and smiled, though it was slightly forced. "Hero name? I don't know you by any other name. Anyway, try not to worry too much. I'll take good care of her. And I'll definitely give you a shout if I can't handle it. I promise." Those last two words seemed to carry some huge significance to her.

"Alright." Clark kissed Lori's forehead again and then slipped out the window and vanished into the night. Lori stirred frowning a little "Clark?" she opened her eyes. "Oh." her eyes flickered closed, opened and then shut again. "Off to protect the world." she smiled and slipped back into her dreams."

Gemini's smile softened a little as she watched Lori. Making sure she was fully asleep again, she went to her room to get dressed.

Joker .managed to break out of jail again and slipped into the night rubbing the bruise marks Lori had left. "Oh." he frowned as he walked.

After getting dressed, Gemini checked on Lori again, then left a note that she was going for a walk. She pulled on a light jacket on and headed out, intending to take a quick walk around the block.

Joker smirked as he walked back to his warehouse. People where scrambling to get out of his way and those who couldn't froze where they where eyes full of fear. He loved how even though he looked like he had taken a beating they still feared him.

Halfway through her walk, Gemini came to a halt. People were moving quickly to the sides. Trying to figure out the cause of the general panic, she completely missed the fact that the source was directly in front of her. She slammed into him and stumbled back. "Ow! Jesus, man, watch where you're going!" She looked up and saw why everyone was running.

"Since you walked into me perhaps I should be saying that to you." Joker smirked a little. "You have to be the only person in this city who wouldn't notice me." he chuckled. "That's not really a good thing."

Gemini shoved her hands into her pockets and looked up at the sky. "Is this supposed to be funny?" She seemed to be asking God. She looked back down at Joker. "I'll be clear. I am going to walk away. I'm going home. You are going to continue on your way, and I'll forget I ever say you, because I really don't feel like dealing with work right now. Understood? Good. Bye." She went to walk around him.

"You sound like Batsy."Joker chuckled. "I wasn't even going to try. I was on my way home anyway." he smirked. "Seems to me that you do want to deal with it since you mentioned it."

Gemini made a low growling sound. "Listen chuckles." She turned to face him. "I'm not in the mood for this. Just stop talking and walk away, before you end up seriously regretting your entire life."

"It's to late for that." Joker slipped away laughing.

Gemini growled again and turned back to walk home. She got back quickly, hoping Lori hadn't woken up while she was gone.

Lori was just waking. "Clark?'' she called and frowned. "Anyone here?''

Gemini entered the room. "I'm here." She said. "Sorry, I just went for a quick walk after my shower. How are you doing?" She asked.

"I'm terrible." Lori sighed running a hand threw her hair. "I just feel sad and pissed." she swallowed as tears appeared. "And now I'm having a conflict. I need to go dancing. That always helps."

Gemini chuckled slightly and sat down next to Lori. "Superman said you'd want to go out when you woke up. I'm always up for a night out, if you'll have me along."

"Of course you can come along...though I want to bring Pam and Selina along." Lori smirked. "We'll have to break Pam out of Arkham of course. I'm Lorinda but the way everyone calls me Lori though."
