Callie grinned. "Oh, I'm going to enjoy this," she murmured. "And you'll have to tell me more about this dog test you mentioned, Val wouldn't tell me any details."

"Knighthood candidates only, I'm afraid," Merlin replied promptly. "Can't have everyone knowing about our testing methods."

"I see." Which meant that she'd have to go to Eggsy, fair enough. "Alright. Marksmanship, you said. No hand-to-hand?" That, she had to admit, rather surprised her.

"That will come," Merlin said. "But I won't be the one testing you on it. There are others more suited than I am to that task."

Callie snorted quietly. "Merlin, I'm pretty sure you could knock me flat on my ass in half a minute," she said, shaking her head. "And as educational as that would be, I'd rather not have that be in my first week here."

"Be that as it may, your hand-to-hand combat training assessment is going to be handled by one of the Knights," Merlin said. "They are better suited to judging your readiness for the field."

Callie nodded. "Fair enough," she agreed. She paused in front of the weapons station, eyeing the different weapons set out for her. Her grin wasn't quite manic, but she was definitely looking forward to this part of the test.

Merlin got himself safely out of the way, and then nodded at her to begin. He was rather interested to see what she chose and how she handled it.

Callie started off with the rifle, deciding to show off a bit. She hit the targets first, and then made a nice little design for him. She switched easily to the handgun, moving down to the next set of targets for fresh readings, and grinned to herself as she kept hitting everything dead center. Working with Clint did have its benefits.

Merlin kept track of her results, and his eyebrows went up a bit when he saw her precision scores.

"Well, well," he said, when she was done. "Seems there are some benefits to working with world-class marksmen. Admirable job."

"Thank you." Callie grinned. "Yeah that is definitely because of Clint. I wouldn't be surprised if Val comes back with better marksmanship scores too." She set the weapons down after a quick check to make sure everything was in order.

"I would be disappointed if she didn't," Merlin replied. He watched her check over the weapons and made note of it on her file. He raised an eyebrow at her. "Should I find you a bow as well?"

"Oh god no, that'd bring my average way down," Callie said with a shudder. "For someone as talented as he is, he has absolutely no talent in teaching someone else to use a bow. He's abysmal at it."

"Good to know," Merlin said with a bit of a smirk. "Alright, take fifteen, and then Eggsy will show you downstairs so you can prove your hand-to-hand aptitude."

Callie nodded and went to go down a water bottle, taking the rest gratefully. She had the feeling Eggsy would wipe the floor with her too, but at least she'd give him a hard time about it.

Eggsy was the one to lead her downstairs, but as soon as he'd gotten her to the practice ring, he went to sit on the sidelines. Intead, Harry stepped into the sparring ring, dressed in comfortable workout gear.

"Are you ready?" he asked her.

Callie didn't quite blanch, but she did pause for a moment. Well, shit. This was going to be harder than she'd thought. She rolled her shoulders once before she stepped into the ring as well.

"Ready when you are."

Harry nodded and gave the signal to start. He wasn't going to assess her as a field agent, because he knew she wasn't going to be one, but he still wanted to make sure she had adequate skills to defend herself.

Callie knew she was going to get her ass handed to her. Hands down. But she was at least going to make him work for it, and even surprise him if she could. Which is why she tried the thighs of death on him. Nat, at least, would have been proud of her form on that one.

The thighs of death did surprise Harry. He definitely hadn't been expecting that move. But he wouldn't be a Knight if he couldn't handle the unexpected, and he managed to roll with the maneuver enough to get free of it and pin her on the mat.

All of her training with Nat was paying off, and Callie managed to squirm out of the hold he had on her, bouncing up and giving herself some room again.

"I think that's the fastest I've ever seen someone shake off that move," she told him, on the defensive now.

"I'm rather impressed, not many people can claim to have trained with Ms. Romanov," Harry said in return, watching her carefully.

"Nat has a vested interest in keeping me alive and well," Callie said, for now just watching and waiting for him to make the next move. "She said it's a pain to train new agents."

"Indeed," Harry said, circling carefully. "I understand that sentiment well. Training new Kingsman is rather a pain as well." Without warning, he lunged at her.

Callie yelped and dove out of the way, rolling away before springing to her feet again. She circled one direction to start, watching him and trying to figure out if she could risk getting close again.
