"That's actually a good impression. Maybe you should show her it sometimes... at least I can talk to her about it." She smirked, knowing Ruby would clobber him for that.

"But Tai...I can't confess my love to you if I do that," Ren stated in Ruby's voice, seriously trying to keep a straight face as he did so.

"I am so telling her when we get home..." Yang smirked.

Ren quickly stopped as a look of fear crossed his face for just a moment but came off just as quick.

"Who is Ruby?" Rose asked as she found the key to her old home and unlocked it, letting the two alchemists inside.

"Ruby is my Auto-Mail Mechanic. She's a family friend, the three of us grew up together." Yang smiled as they followed Rose inside.

"And is that why Ren teasing you with her?"

"Pretty much." Yang stretched.

"I see," she said with a light laugh. "Well then, please make yourselves at home. I know it's not much but it should do as a safehouse"

"Hey, If you want this place fixed up just let me know. I'll fix whatever you need to for housing us like this." Yang looked around, noticing the dust that had settled.

"I'll help as well," Ren said, both of them meaning what they said.

"Thank you, That means a lot." She said as she went through the place to see what was still intact and working.

Yang waited before fixing a few small things she noticed. Thankfully the materials and fragments were still there for the fix to work without getting anything. She waited to see if Rose brought more to her, but the small details she could handle first.

"Anything else you think I can help with, sis?" Ren asked.

"If you see something small, try to patch it. Worst case, You can stretch out the material like I've done to your arm before when we could get the right material." Yang smiled.

Ren nodded before noticing a few holes in the floor and started patching them up by splitting the wood atoms around them to 'stretch' the molecules and cover up the hole.

With all the small stuff taken care of, Yang moved with Rose to fix anything major that was up. It took them all of an hour to get everything fixed, and working again. "There, This place looks as if it was just built." Yang smirked, putting her hands behind her head. She had to replace the pins twice, as all this movement made them bend. That bell must of been made of something really horrible for that metal to fail so easily.

"Thank you so much, both of you" Rose said once she saw her old house in tip top condition once again.

"No problem. When I'm in central, I occasionally help out with basic work like this to help bring in a little more income. My grants are nice, but they monitor it heavily."

"Why would they monitor your grants?" Rose asked, entirely confused. Then again, she wasn't sure about anything when it concerned state alchemists after all.

"Just to make sure they are being spent properly. I mean, I have the ability to almost buy anything BUT I'd rather not get them involved if they think I'm just buying useless items. I heard of one State Alchemist near the beginning that lost his title because he was caught buying drugs."

"So basically you have funds that you can use if you need to but it's regulated to make sure that you don't abuse it?" Rose asked.

"Exactly. That's the easiest way of putting it I guess." Yang laughed before taking a seat, putting all the fabric before her as well as the new top she made.

"I see," she said understanding it at least a little. "I'm going to go see if there's any food that's edible. If not, I'm going to do some shopping. Any preferences I should be on the lookout for?"

"Nothing in particular." Yang admitted, "I'm not picky, get whatever you want." Yang was just looking to lay low for now, keeping an eye on things while the chaos went through. This was going to be a long few days, she knew it.

"Does Ren need something to eat or something?" she asked, not meaning to offend if she did.

Yang shook her head, "Sadly, No. He still needs to rest occasionally, but as far as food he doesn't need any."
