Rose nodded at that. "Alright then, I'll see what I can find. In the meantime, please make yourselves at home," she said before heading out, intent on getting some food for the two of them.

Yang looked to Ren once Rose left, "How you holding up?" She asked, putting her arms behind her head.

"All things considered, I'm doing alright," Ren replied.
|
"Good." Yang looked up at the ceiling. "I wanted to kill him..." She admitted, clenching her fists. "I wanted to pull the trigger and end his life... But I couldn't bring myself to do it. I fought against myself to keep myself from murdering him."

"But you didn't, which is what's good" Ren replied.
|
"Yeah..." she closed her eyes, "What stopped me was the thoughts of those I have killed... I was told it might be easier to deal with the memories but it is still the same."

"Meaning you are still trying to get over those deaths?" Ren asked, curious.

"Of course. They wre all in defense. I was just protecting myself and those around me... but I'm still haunted."

"Just make sure that they don't control who you are. I know that they haunt you, but I think you're doing a good job coping with them" he said honestly before Rose entered, holding a few bags of groceries.

"Thank you Ren... That means a lot to hear you say that." She said before shifting so she was upright. "Hey, Welcome back." Yang smiled.

"Thanks," Rose said as she placed the two bags on the counter.

Yang got up and walked over to Rose, "Want some help?" She offered as she didn't like the idea of just sitting around and doing nothing. They were her guests and it wouldn't be polite. She also wanted to ask about what was going on. She wasn't sure if the mob had attacked or if they were planning to do it closer to when sunset. The latter would be stupid, but possibly more beneficial for Cornello to escape.

"Yes please," Rose said with a light sigh, glad to be able to put the bags down. She had been carrying them for quite a while. "So anything happen while I was out? I'll have to admit that I'm a little surprised that the mobs haven't tried attacking anyone just yet" she commented.

"We were just talking but you gave me the news I was curious about. We were not sure if the mob had really begun or not. The main question I am curious about is how the town looks at me. I shattered the illusion for this town, and they might not be happy with me."

"True...and it would be foolhardy to just go out there and check," Rose added, knowing that would just be a Bad Idea. "Maybe I could ask around, see what people think of you and/or your brother?"

"At least after they've finished dealing with the church. That is something you wouldn't want to interrupt." Yang admitted as she helped put everything away. She took to mind what Rose bought, finishing up the bag that she took. She was wondering why Rose was being so nice to her, after how Yang acted and what was said. Her life changed drastically in a matter of hours.

"Probably not," Rose admitted.

"So, I must ask... Why are you being so nice to us. Considering what I did in such a short period of time, You should by all rights be pissed off and down right angry with me." Yang questioned after they had a moment to relax. It was something she needed to have answered.

"Because I can tell that you didn't do that for the wrong reasons. You opened my eyes to who the Father really was...and he tried to make me kill you. If he was the man that I trusted before you came to Reole...truly that man, then he wouldn't have made me do that in the first place," Rose stated truthfully.

"I'm happy to hear that I could change your outlook of life for the better." Yang laughed softly, "Makes me feel better about being a 'Dog of the Military'"

"You know what they call female dogs, right sis?" Ren stated albeit teasingly.

"Most are at least respectful enough to not use that." Yang glared at Ren.

Ren just shook his head at that. "You really are easy to tease, you know that sis?" he asked.

"Yes, and so is hitting my temper with your prodding." She retorted quickly.

"Yet I'm one of the few people that gets away with it," Ren replied back.
