As the week drew to a close, Rosemary felt herself become more and more stressed out. The moon would be full soon, which only ever meant bullying in wolf form for her. She wished she had a friend to talk to, but her other cabinmate wasn't very talkative and there was no way she was going to approach Belle.

Cal, on the other hand, was excited for the weekend. Classes were different from what he'd expected, and he was exhausted from handling those and social interactions for himself and the other chameleons all at once. He was definitely ready for a break so he could spend some time working on controlling his pattern- which had finally changed back to normal- or maybe just sleeping.

Belle had a few more accidents with her powers. The other vampires stayed away from her all she had was Angel who was currently siting next to her listening to her parents argue with Holiday and Burnett. They couldn't hear what was being sad and that made them nervous.

"Hey...you OK?" Alex asked her plopping down beside her. "If you want I'll transform into a wolf and hang out with you instead."

Rosemary looked up and smiled sadly at him. "I'd say yes, but the other weres would come after you. They're really anal about other wolves honing in when we transform. It's a pack thing, I guess. Territory and all that." She sighed. "Then again, if I'm lucky they'll just ignore me for once..."

Cal sat, alone again since the other chameleons all had friends to sit with. Though he was well liked by nearly everyone, he didn't have any actual friends to speak of. He'd never thought being popular would be so lonely.

"If you want me just holler. I'll come even if it means getting killed." Alex nodded.

Belle sat with her parents feeling nervous. They explained that her real father had been a warlock her mother had meet years ago. After her mother had gotten pregnant he had vanished and had married the man she knew as her father. She screamed at them her powers crackling finally with tears rushing down her cheeks she raced out of the office. Eventually she slammed into someone, it was Cal.

Rosemary smiled at him thankfully. "I'll keep that in mind. Thank you, Alex. You've been really nice to me, and I...I appreciate it." She told him.

Cal had decided to go for a walk, having nothing else to do. Naturally, he didn't expect to have someone literally run into him, so he stumbled a bit when they did. "Whoa, easy there...Belle? What happened?"

"Don't mention it." Alex blushed. "I like you so its no problem."

Belle didn't know why she did it but she reached out grabbed his shirt and collapsed against him sobbing.

Rosemary blushed slightly, but reminded herself that he probably didn't mean what she thought he meant. "I like you, too. You're...a really good friend." She said, trying to hide the blush that gave away how much she really liked him. "I think I'm gonna take a nature hike. Do you want to come?"

Completely at a loss, Cal tentatively patted Belle's shoulders, trying to comfort her, though he didn't know how or even what was wrong. He'd never been good with crying, especially crying women. "Uh...there...there? You're...gonna be okay. Do you want to talk about it?" He had no idea how she would react to this- for all he knew, she'd just haul off and punch him- so he was careful with his wording.

"My whole life was a lie." Belle hiccups managing to pull herself together enough to pull away. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to cry all over you like that." she was still crying a little.

"Sure." Alex looked a little crestfallen when she said he was a friend. "Nature is fun." he went to take her hand and stopped quickly plucking a invisible thread from her sleeve. "It was bothering me sorry."

Cal looked down at her, ignoring the fact that his shirt was all wet now. "That's alright, I can change. Are you okay?" He asked, slightly worried about her. He'd never seen her looking any less than perfectly composed. This much emotion from the vampire was strange.

Rosemary glanced down, but whatever thread had been there was gone now. "Oh, okay. Thanks." She said, standing up to head outside. She realized that she couldn't clearly read his emotions and looked at him funny. "Are you alright? Your emotions are all...muddled."

"They are muddled." Alex admitted. "I have a few things on my mind and I'm not sure how to deal with those things."

"No. Nothing will ever be alright again." Belle stared at the ground. "They lied to me for my whole childhood and they only tell me now because they had no other choice." she shook her head. "there's no reason for you to worry about it."

Rosemary frowned thoughtfully. "I'm here to listen if you want. Talking about it might help." She offered.

"Well...what if I want to worry about it? You don't have to deal with everything alone, you know. I..." Cal sighed. Why did he care so much? "I know what it's like. Thinking you know who you are and then...I know. If you ever want to talk, I'll be...around."

"OK...remember you asked. I like you more then a friend." Alex admitted. "I'm not sure you feel the same way though."

Belle started talking explained what her parents had said. How she was half witch, how no one knew where her real father was, how they had lied and hid suppressing drugs in her blood to hide her doudle pattern.

Rosemary blinked a few times, stunned silent by this confession. When it finally sank in that he'd really just said that, she blushed. "I...that's..." She cleared her throat. "I do feel the same way. I just thought...I was sure there was no way you felt like that about me." She told him.

Cal listened, becoming more and more angry as she went on. "That...that's unforgivable!" He said when she was done. "Not talking about your real father is one thing, a lot of people do that, but to hide your pattern with drugs? To lie about who you are? That's just...sick!" He seethed. "Didn't they realize you'd find out? That even if you didn't have witch's powers, your pattern would at least show up? That finding out that way would cause emotional harm?" He realized he was getting angrier than he should, and glanced at her. "Sorry. I just...I can't believe anyone would do that to their own child."

"Well...there is a way and I do." Alex shifted his food. "So um...do you want to go for a date after the full moon?"

"I wish they had tried harder to keep my to find out." Belle sniffled. "I have always been full vampire nothing more. Now I can't be there leader. There not going to accept a half blood. Maybe I should take those pills again and say it was just a fluke."

Rosemary blushed. This was so sudden, but she supposed it was better that way. "Yeah, that sounds nice." She said.

"Why wouldn't they accept a half blood?" Cal asked. "I've talked to a few of the vampires here, and they all really respect you. I don't think they'll turn on you just because you find out you're not pure vampire. I'm positive at least a few of them would rally behind you even more." He told her. "You shouldn't try to hide who you are. I know it's difficult, but you need to do what your parents couldn't, and accept yourself. You could be the most amazing vampire ever, with these powers. I think...you should try and embrace this. Make it a good thing. And don't apologize for who you are."

"Who am? I thought I knew. I thought I was a pure vampire princess who had the greatest best friend but now. She's all I know I can trust in now." Belle ran a hand threw her hair. "This was suppose to be simple. I come here get a few points with the council and then go home and return to my studies to be on the council, to rule my own coven. Now I have these dumb powers that will take forever to be control. If I had never come here this wouldn't have happened." she blinked as Angel rushed over. "Oh Belle I just found out what happened." Angel hugged her. "Don't worry I'll kill anyone who makes fun of you." Belle smiled a little.

"Cool we can use the time to get to know each other better." Alex grinned and lead the way to there classes.

Cal put his hands in his pockets, thinking. "I don't think your pattern defines who you are. Look, I don't know you all that well, but from what I've seen, I can take a pretty good guess who you are. You're a strong, intelligent, stubborn girl, a natural leader, a loyal friend. You're crafty, and I'll bet you can overcome any challenge that you face. You're unique in a whole lot of ways, and this new development only means you're even more unique, and it will just make you a stronger person in the long run." He paused, a little embarrassed that he'd gone on for so long. "Anyway, I'll let you catch up with your friend. But...if anyone bothers you, let me know. I'll give 'em hell for you."

Rosemary nodded, smiling. That definitely sounded good to her. "Yeah, cool." She said, following him.

Belle took Angels hand and watched him go. "See getting along isn't so hard." Angel teased earning a glare. "Alright, alright don't turn me into anything." she chuckled then yelped as Belle stepped on her foot. "OK shutting up."she laughed. "Meh." Belle huffed heading for class.

Alex spotted Belle. "Well her pattern is still mixed." he frowned. "I think she's half and half. Though why she didn't have that pattern from the start I will never understand."

Rosemary shrugged. "I've heard of people whose patterns change after a certain age. Kind of like...supernatural puberty?" She said.

Cal headed off to class, even though he wanted to skip. It was the last class of the day, and he wanted to keep his attendance high so the teachers would like him.

"Maybe that's it." Alex shrugged then scowled as a vampire started to hassle Belle.

Belle ignored him keeping her eye's forward. Angel was growling in warning glaring at the guy.

Rosemary noticed as well and paused, frowning. She could feel the negative emotions building, and decided to step in before anything happened. "Hey!" She stepped in front of the hassling vamp, blocking him from getting to Belle. "Leave her alone. Seriously, if you don't cut it out I'll get Holiday to come down on your ass." She threatened.

"Oh isn't this cute. The half dog is going to stand up for her fellow half breed." He smirked. "Stay out of this pup it's vampire business."

Rosemary's eyes flashed dangerously and she took a step towards the guy. "You forget I'm also half fey. I don't suppose you want me to mess with your emotions, do you? Because I will. I'll send your head spinning so fast you'll throw up." That was a bluff, of course, but he didn't need to know that. If worst came to worst, she'd just call down a pack of angry animals on the guy.
